  1. Bare in mind there'll be about 20,000 more people running this years marathon than in 2016.
  2. Am I missing something? Why does it take so long to confirm the dates/times? It's 2 games. We know the teams and the stadium they'll be played at. I reckon I could organise it in less than 5 minutes following the draw and give people a chance of booking train tickets at a semi-reasonable rate...
  3. Couple of observations from the evening. Excellent stadium for getting there by train. Even better than most he fans left before FT so it wasn't too busy . The beer kiosk/queue was ridiculous. Sort it out Rob/Ryan. For such a Hollywood club, the pre-match/ half time entertainment was nonexistent. The ball in a cup game which came up every 10 mins or so pre-kick off, was particularly pathetic. Away fans were brilliant. Noisy with a great repotoir of songs. Cyle took his goal brilliantly. Moments after I had called for him to to subbed. No need to thank me. Finn Azaz never stops. Saints are, generally, quite good at football. Long may it continue.
  4. Even the commentators were praising the atmosphere long before the second goal.
  5. Never in doubt. See you at Wembley for the semi and for the final.
  6. Momentum swing ever since the dodgy THB pass.
  7. What are you blithering on about?
  8. I'll be more pleased about it next time. More frustrating that it's a road I used to drive on a lot and was previously 30mph (in my years of living near it, never any accidents or issues that I'm aware of).
  9. Heart genuinely skipped a beat.
  10. Looks like they spent some pretty serious cash renovating Fratton Park since I last went.
  11. A genuine worry. I think Trump is a lunatic, in part, because he's old and senile. JD doesn't have that excuse yet.
  12. Just got a letter to tell me I've been caught speeding. Doing 25mph in a 20 speed limit zone. Fuck the Welsh.
  13. They will probably go and win Euro 28 now. Weird nation.
  14. Left BT TV/internet last week having been a customer for about 15 years. Phoned them to see if I could get a better deal but they weren't interested in the slightest so switched to Sky. Almost from the minute the switch was confirmed I have been getting calls from their retentions team about 4-5 times a day. They never leave a message but the one time I picked up to tell them to sod off, the line cut immediately. If they couldn't be arsed to keep me as a customer and then made me go through the hassle of switching, I'm not sure what makes them think I'm going to waste hours of my life switching back again.
  15. Being a shit DJ?
  16. Yep, will confess, I don't bother with food recycling for this very reason.
  17. Station Premier Inn is much for convenient than the racecourse. Couple of decent pubs within a 1 minute walk (e.g Old Harkers Arms on the canal or Corner House the opposite direction). If you've not been before it's worth the 5 minute walk into the city centre to see the rows and the walls (including the second most photographed clock in the country, apparently). Plenty of other good pubs and restaurants about too.
  18. Admittedly Fourpast is an odd choice of keeper, but I don't actually think most of the rest of the lineup is too bad. Clearly a bit of a tongue in cheek selection, probably second choice when they couldn't find Ali Dia's contact details. Lambert, Le Tiss, Benali, Fonte etc all class as legends for Saints in my book. Killer, Hooiveld, Pele, Wanyama probably under the umbrella of cult heroes. Not sure I'd really want to watch anyone much older than them...
  19. Who is J Sanda? Am I suffering from dementia?
  20. A good quality tin opener. Had my old one for about 20 years. Struggled opening every can I've ever needed to open. Finally bit the bullet the other day and bought a new one. BOOM! Was in a tin of chickpeas in matter of seconds with a clean removal this evening.
  21. I refuse to believe he is a bigger dummy than someone who reads the Daily Star.
  22. Chocolate bread and butter pudding (Delia recipe, obviously). Swiss roll (cheap and cheerful available at any good Co-op). Honourable mention for the frozen version, Arctic roll, which is harder to come by. Crème brulé. Cos I'm middle class, innit.
  23. I turned it on for a couple minutes, saw Marin Clunes having a wank and then decided it was time for bed.
