Don't be a fanny. We've beaten Everton, Spurs and West Ham away in relatively recent seasons. And haven't done too badly against Arsenal either. If we're still in the mix in late April/May, there's nothing to say we won't pick up a few points with a bit of belief (though obviously it'll be tough...). Anyway, it's all moot. We will be on the beach having qualified for the Champions League by May.

Whilst I don't disagree with your second paragraph, the thought of Raynor one day running the country is terrifying. Surely there's someone marginally more competent from the 70 million people that live in the UK?

I think it's a blatant attempt at route 1 reverse physchology. Suspect the hope is that it will simultaneously rally the older Tory voters in to coming out in force whilst hoping it'll cause some voter apathy from labour supporters who are assuming it'll be a decent result no matter what (which lets be honest, it will be).
