  1. Zero chance of England being able to break down a side defending a lead. Roll on the World Cup...
  2. So, after about 20 years of solid rejections I have finally got a place in the London Marathon for next year. Annoyingly I had also signed up to Manchester Marathon (which is on the same day) a few weeks ago on the assumption that I wouldn't get in to London. Who here has done a marathon and how does London compare to others? Any top tips for training? I've done a few Half's in about 1:45 so have set a target of 3:45 for the full...
  3. I had to turn my volume up. She was speaking a bit too quietly for me.
  4. We are the only PL club not to have announced any friendlies yet according to this...https://www.premierleague.com/news/3916186 Seems odd that there's not been a sniff of anything much yet.
  5. I hate this format of most the third placed teams going through to the knockouts. Makes the jeopardy of the last group games much less interesting.
  6. I played the role of a star in the pre-school nativity once. Not only that, I was the ONLY star in the show. Didn't have any words and just stood at the back of the stage for a bit. Think I also wet myself and tripped over when leaving the stage. Don't you dare downplay my achievements.
  7. Why should he waste his time telling you? Open your eyes and do your own research. You'll be amazed what you find. 🫠
  8. The Dutch and French Nike kits are undeniably sexy though.
  9. The mistake was to disallow the goal on field before VAR intervened. I'm assuming, as it wasn't 'clear and obvious ' then the advice is to stick to the on field decision. Either way, the outcome was bollocks and wholly unsurprising that English officials were at the centre of it. Can't wait to be back in the Prem next season...
  10. Don't be a fanny. We've beaten Everton, Spurs and West Ham away in relatively recent seasons. And haven't done too badly against Arsenal either. If we're still in the mix in late April/May, there's nothing to say we won't pick up a few points with a bit of belief (though obviously it'll be tough...). Anyway, it's all moot. We will be on the beach having qualified for the Champions League by May.
  11. Let's hope we're safe by April then....
  12. I bet 20 years ago you or your brother didn't think you'd still be living off that witty retort.
  13. First home game = West Ham First away game = Liverpool Boxing Day = Spurs away NYD = Fulham home Last game = Brentford away
  14. Cole Palmer embracing this initiative at the Euros.
  15. Please tell me that's not a real thing that they're actually trying to sell?
  16. Whilst I don't disagree with your second paragraph, the thought of Raynor one day running the country is terrifying. Surely there's someone marginally more competent from the 70 million people that live in the UK?
  17. I think it's a blatant attempt at route 1 reverse physchology. Suspect the hope is that it will simultaneously rally the older Tory voters in to coming out in force whilst hoping it'll cause some voter apathy from labour supporters who are assuming it'll be a decent result no matter what (which lets be honest, it will be).
  18. Personally, whilst I'm no Tory, and know that she's a skate, I don't think Penny is performing too badly given the position her party are in. None of them are exactly wow'ing me though. (caveat, I only watched the first 25 mins or so and have now turned over).
  19. Definitely a 0-0 stalemate, but Starmer had a slightly higher xG.
  20. Why does my local Tesco Express stock garlic and coriander naan bread and peshwari naan (2 different varieties of each), but not plain naan?
  21. Che Adams scored in Scotland's 2-0 demolition of Gibraltar this evening. Europe - watch out!
  22. He's going to break that free kick record against us, isn't he...
