The legacy of Russell Martin. Need to remove any traces of him from the playing squad over the summer.
-
I opted for McCarthy extension as that was the most stupid and obviously wasteful of all, any other year it would have been Lallana or Fraser. If the poll had been multiple choice, I’d have ticked every single option. BBD I’ve some empathy for though, he’s never a fucking winger, what a stupid twat that manager was. Nathan Wood was 100% Russell Martin’s doing, the club tried signing him the previous year for around double the fee we paid last summer. Clearly, he wasn’t paying attention to Nathan’s abject performance in Swansea’s 5-0 defeat. He’s a Stephens style ball-watcher, albeit with a bit more pace. Might be ok as back up next season given the sheer volume of transfers required but loan him out if promoted with a very modest option to buy.

Lucky a player of that calibre only made 56 really. In the box seat but Lyth hanging on in there.
-
Go on Leicester, you know you really want a bit of beardy Russell. Barry Ferguson’s results starting to slide at Rangers as well, although Martin’s loan spell there wasn’t very good.
-
It certainly will impact them in so many ways but they are so addled they don’t care - until the transmission on their 20 year old Dodge pick-up gives up beyond repair - or their phone breaks in a bar room brawl which needs replacing.
-
Nathan Wood as well. Horrific from Martin, Mowbray and Ankerson. Then you can add the extension for McCarthy as well which must have been decided on the lash they seem to have been on all summer. Zero knowledge of the EPL between any of them. The extension for Smallbone before they’d seen if he could physically handle the PL was another act of stupidity.

Here are some of the useful idiots enabling them https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cr4nr3230e7o They make our Red Wall seats look like Oxford and Cambridge by comparison.

Wheal strikes twice in his first over, Yorks 10-2. Handy 128 run lead on the first innings after a flurry from Ben Brown. Shame we missed out on a batting point for 250.
-
100 lead up now, Brown and Hampton building a stand which looks critical to the rest of the game. Another 50 combined from these two would leave a very strong position.

Happy to eat humble pie served by Lighthouse if you’re correct.

I’m simply fixated with not having Gavin anywhere near our goalposts. Nothing personal against the bloke. Good signing on loan for Notts County or Walsall next season but he doesn’t belong anywhere the goal of a side going for autos from the Champ. Don’t have to spend lots either - Michael Cooper from Plymouth has been a great signing for Sheff Utd.

Steve Rattner is really good at explaining trade and economic patterns. Basically, it’s hurting US and Canadian consumers the worst.
-
A lot from both sides have played on today. Probably a spongy wicket at this time of year, might dry out a bit and harden up if this good weather carries on.
-
Probably. It’s a yucky logo but if the club gets the squad right and Ramsdale is replaced properly, a top 2 finish will enable most fans to live with it.

Agree with all of that except a new goalkeeper is absolutely essential. If the club must continue their Bazanu fixation then at worst, it needs to be as back up to a new first choice. No chance whatsoever as first choice that automatic promotion happens and would make Saints an 10/1 outside shot of the playoffs. Yes, he really is that diabolical. If we must keep him, toughen him pre-season to get him used to standing his own with the target men of the Champ. Ask Onachu to lead with his elbow and arms on crosses in training. Pack the box with units at set pieces. Still not sure he would save anything low to his left.

158/5, poor shots from Prest and Stoneman who otherwise looked decent to straight bowling. Wheal gone as night watchman.

Story here, anything Laura Loony thinks really ought to result in the opposite happening https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ckgerl183j3o

Ironically, Johnny might derive some indirect benefit from the tariffs as a lot of chemical supply comes from China and India who have been taxed more aggressively, so the market for pesticides might be easier over there.

That’s even more of a stick up than Ukraine and minerals.

He’s a bit busy working out which Saints Academy starlets will be turning out for Gosport Borough in two years’ time.

Similar refuelling habits, allegedly.

That’s akin to Katie Price commending someone’s standard of driving a car.
