  1. Fart form more like. With a lot of shit following at the end.
  2. Nathan Wood is HIS signing so not sure how you reached that conclusion 😀 Ankerson’s transfer tavern special Ronnie ‘I saw Jack the Hat get shot in the Blind Beggar’ Edwards is even worse if anything.
  3. He should try being us. He gets paid considerably to watch this garbage, we paid considerably in different ways to watch this garbage.
  4. Don’t know, Aribo is a bigger earner, Smallbone less so, and of course very contingent on MF. One for competition if MF stays but if he doesn’t then a first team CM coming in as Charles and Downes will get injuries and suspensions. Probably a very late loan for a CM pushed further down the pecking order after a PL’s clubs own Lidl trolley dash.
  5. Really need a CM especially if Smallbone to Wrexham proceeds and Aribo’s agent finally flogs him somewhere and pockets a commission.
  6. Understandable, but up to Still to decide if he can coax the ability out of him more, which he clearly does have. BBD looked rank there second half of the season so not sure the Blades environment was the best with all of the owner politics and AI scouting in the background.
  7. Then, tired and unsteady, he’d drop Nate after the effects of a Friday night in the pubs of Greenwich, in a replay of Tony Adams’s holding aloft and dropping winning goal scorer Steve Morrow at Wembley and putting him out for the rest of the season.
  8. Although would Boro let Hackney and Azaz go in one week?
  9. We’d be paying a% of the wages which SR will hate but it’s the only option to get his career going again and his chin off the floor. PNE and Blackburn more likely I’d have thought but if Jones gets him scoring 15 goals this season, win win, he’s then an asset again to sell.
  10. Ben, it’s the one illuminated in green with ‘Exit’ above it…
  11. Your autocorrect is coming up with some crackers. If BBD was in an office, I wouldn’t trust him to work the photocopier.
  12. His signing on fee deterred Everton and West Ham. Given they’ve both made signings since in that area that ship sailed but I reckon Brum after the window,
  13. How’s Brexit worked out? Nigel very quiet on that these days 🤥 Any suggestions in todays speech about how to regain the 6% of the economy a hard Brexit lost?
  14. And/or injured long-term.
  15. If it doesn’t work out for him in Bremen and returning to Saints doesn’t appeal, Handball is Germany’s second most favourite sport and Volleyball has over seventy professional clubs. Lots of chances to get ‘hands on’ and become a Japanese international at something new.
  16. BBD would probably cost less now than the £10m option they had at the end of his loan.
  17. Forgot that Les Reed would have signed Will Smallbone as an academy player so probably kept an eye on him and been a suggestion to Parkinson if they came up.
  18. Sadly you are probably right, the Branfoot and Lowe days are in the history books. More likely is what I described around falling gates and Dragan not wanting to write ever larger cheques post-parachute payments. That’s why Short got rid of Sunderland in the end, just hope Dragan leaves it debt free when he does the same so someone with the right focus and finances can have a proper go again.
  19. I think it’s because his agent is an even bigger day dreamer than Joe Aribo’s, with links made to Napoli and even PSG (?!) which you’d have to be on LSD to take seriously. Rasmus and Martin swallowed it though Quelle surprise
  20. I think thats what happened last summer though between Martin and Ankerson albeit with the latter supplying lists of players linked to the Ankerson transfer tavern where they could take a cut. Still no excuse for the McCarthy contract though and AA extension. If the manager is Ronald Koeman, Pochettino, Alan Pardew, Strachan or peak Lawrie, absolutely agree.
  21. Crash two major football clubs for the price of one. The football industry is astonishing in terms of how many abject failures like him keep on getting gigs.
  22. Already known about on the player’s thread to Bremen and the poorly-timed and tacky Long announcement overshadowed it. SR have bought so many 🍋 they should open a sherbet factory. Sounds like he’s only a stop gap and they are another club in large decline. So he should fit in well.
  23. This is the crux of why it won’t work between our fanbase and SR. We might make the odd decent signing and scrape a win over Pompey to paper the cracks but ultimately what both parties want and see as success is totally different. Whether business or personal, that only ever ends one way.
  24. Spot on and Semmens with his lucky to be here crap at forums. Upwardly mobile Southampton FC is not. You’re right about name managers. We’ve always been far better with them on the whole - Koeman, Poch to an extent, Adkins was an ambitious hire for L1, Pards, WGS. Souness was tactically iffy but bought in some cracking players.
