  1. We will leave at around 3.30 and park up by 6.30. Have a sarnie and a coffee and then go to our seats where we will watch an excellent game of football with Saints winning three more points. I am optimistic and have been since we went into second place after beating Leeds so comprehensively. We haven't been out of the top two all season and I for one am so proud of our lads. We will arrive home at around 0100 on Saturday chuffed to be Saints. PS.Don't know if Billy reads this but I owe you two pints for Saturday! COYS
  2. The Question posed was "How nervous are you?" Not at all. Take each game as it comes and stop the negativity which is fast becoming the HallMark of posters on this Board.Have you even considered how much Brighton want to beat Reading? Brum to beat the Sham? COYS
  3. So sad to hear the news. RIP fellow Saint and look down to watch us beat the Skates on saturday.
  4. To the tune of 'Bye Bye Blackbird' Pack up all your kit and go To the League Down below Bye Bye Pompey Repeat after every goal we score.
  5. Only if they go out of existence. With our luck we'll get 'em in all of the Cup Comps except the Johnson paints!
  6. Don't blame Billy. The Ginger lino played him out of the game yesterday. Guly completely forgot Billy and Adam were on the same pitch and it showed. Billy Sharp is an asset. Let's use him with some support. On yesterdays showing perhaps we should get rid of NA eh?
  7. Whenever we play a team with pacy wingers we struggle.Today we couldn't stop them. Move on to next saturday and see what we can really do. I had us to win today but so be it. PS. Their penalty wasn't (ours was) Their second goal was a gift and the third from a corner that wasn't. PPS. How Guly didn't get an early yellow I'll never know. Three times he ran into the back of a player. Is there something we should be told?
  8. Did he score against us at SMS? No! He was shut out of the game completely. Can't see why we don't do it again. We will win by TWO clear goals. COYS
  9. One game at a time sweet Jesus is all I'm asking of you. So let us begin with another fine win then one day at a time! We will beat Blackpool by two clear goals. COYS
  10. The nippers Dad was grabbed by a huge Rozzer for mouthing off at a Lino and the lad shouted 'Leave my Dad alone!' The Rozzer grabbed the nipper and threw him to the ground. All of us in the vicinity really gave him some stick but it made no difference. They were both marched off with their arms forced up their backs.
  11. This has bloody whiskers on it. Look closely at the ad and you'll see the year 2007.
  12. I'm fully confident on this one. Saints to win by 2 clear goals. Watch out for the 'Boys in Blue' though as they were viscious last time we were up there.Threw an 8 year old to the ground for defending his dad! Ollie will make the usual excuses about the Ref and Lino's. COYS
  13. I may have 13 on my shorts but you're the unlucky one you pillock!
  14. I wonder how much he has been paid already for his failures? Just a thought. What are his 'successes'?
  15. My cousin is a lifelong Hammers fan and she reckons 'Slapmouth' (have you seen him chewing gum?) is about to lose his job as none of the fans like him and the 'Board' are becoming a little bit tired of his excuses. Personally I only care about Saints. We are 'Top of The League' and will be even further in front after Saturday. COYS
  16. Lets face it eh? On previous England Managers form, Nigel WON'T get the job because he wears glasses!
  17. OK. Mathmaticians get your slide rules out. My first game was at the Dell in January 1957. (I was 23 rising 24) I can't remember who we were playing as like so many of us on that cold wet Saturday "We'd had a few on the way from Hythe" I was a matelot serving in HMS Diligence and one of my best oppo's was a Saints Fanatic. I went along with him, and a couple of other lads, and after the Match to the Hulse Road social Club to pester the girls. My two lads and two lasses are Saints as are my Grandkids. My nipper drives me, and two of the Grandsons, to SMS for home games and we are all STH's in the Chapel. After the RN lived in Butts Ash then after Graduating to Bedford.then to Telford where we've been for the last 27 years.
  18. I opened the front door yesterday morning. It was the 'Collector' for Mrs.H's Hospice Lottery. He saw my saints badge on my sweater and said "I always follow Saints. My great Uncle used to manage them. Somewhere in the twenties." I asked what his Uncles name was and he told me 'Jimmy McKintyre' We had a chat for quite a few minutes before he went on his merry way and then I opened up my PC and Googled in 'Jimmy Mckintyre. Southampton Football Club' Sure enough I was transferred to Wickipedia and there is the info. What a small world we live in? Have a read it's quite interesting.
  19. I am not in the slightest interested whether the Skates go down or not. All I'm concerned about is OUR results. When we play them in April we will win. If our win means they go down that's their problem.
  20. I must have been at a different game to that of CEC although I'm a STH in the Chapel. I thought Guly had a very good game.I'm very impressed with Billy Sharp. Stocky, can put himself about and dosen't 'play act' when he gets clobbered.Full marks to all for a much improved and well executed performance. My only reservation is this: Why is it whenever the opposition have a corner we,for some unknown reason, bunch all of our players in our box? Yesterday, had Adkins left Billy on the centre line then Burnley would have to put two players somewhere near him. Time after time we defend corners and clear only for the ball to drop on the oppositions lone defender who hoofs it back in because we have no one waiting. PS. I don't think Billy scored! But who cares? It went in and we won.
  21. Just 'Googled' him. Record as follows Matches Reff'd- 30 Cards Red - 11 Yellow - 99 is he looking for his Century/ All the comments on 'Rate the Ref' are hyper critical. Looks like we could be having a 'mare' tomorrow if he's 'on-form'
  22. Well. I was right. Londoncentric press (Mirror) think he's TRIFFIC!
  23. I am Biased. I can't stand this hysteria about someone who, on his own admission, is illiterate, both academically and PC and yet the Londoncentric media believe he's TRIFFIC! What a load of old cobblers!!!!
  24. I served on a 'Southampton Class' Cruiser in the early '50's. Does that help?
  25. A good point from that but - 'No shots on or off goal'? -perhaps NA should start on Monday morning with 'hit it on the run' practice. Such were the conditions that one could have gone in. Anyway, we are still second and next saturday will see us back to our winning ways.
