My S-I-L and Grandson are/were STHs for Posh and are now on the way home from OT. General opinion is that C.Mc.S is on the way to St.Marys. Don't know what the 'fee' is yet. PS You're nearly there Dave. Do I get a pint?

I have been reading the 'Blog' since the first instalment and I have to say I've laughed my socks off many times. His reference to the 'Chuckle Brothers' are hilarious. I've tried to pm him but can't find a link. I hope he'll carry on next season as I'm sure if I miss a game he'll come up with the 'goods'. Well done to whoever you are. I'm a fan!

I personally don't give a toss about WHU. I just hope that someone forewarns Nigel that he must NOT, under any circumstance, consider the 'Dead Snake' as a Saint again.

I always refer to this strip (I have one) as the 'Ivan Golac' strip as he was head and shoulders above the 'sash' version we have used this season. As soon as I saw the pitch I said to my nipper and others around us "Is this a hint for next Seasons Strip?" I await with trepidation.

Just a couple of points as I am still up on cloud 25 after yesterday. Living up here in the wilds of Shropshire we have neighbours from most Midlands clubs. My Walsall neighbour (who also went yesterday) thanked me and asked to 'pass on' his personal appreciation to all the Saints for their 'congratulatory support' at the end of the game. He said 'Saints are the true Champions of this league. Brighton are the pretenders!' Second.Have a look at the stats. Our Midfield have to be the best in Div 1. We have the best goal difference,in all the League Divisions, we have only conceded THIRTEEN at home which means that our MF not only have defended brilliantly but supplied the forwards with great support. What a day. As an STH with my Nipper and Grandsons the 400 miles round trip was worth every second of the travel. Just as an 'aside'. Why was the grass cut in the 'Golac' stripes? Is this subtle hint of next seasons strip?

I thought we would probably crunch a draw at the 'Bees' but we had a joy ride. Against Plymouth tomorrow I have no worries. We will beat them, not by a lot as an ex-Saints Manager is now in charge (he didn't do very well with us though did he?) 2 - 0 for Saints is what I've got a bet on so the lads will make me (and them) winners tomorrow. COME ON YOU SAINTS!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't get today so had to keep a constant eye on Gillette Soccer saturday. My S-I-L (a Posh STH) sat alongside me. The badinage was great especially as Mrs.Hasper got the 'First' in the National,we won and Posh drew. Can't get much better than that. I'm pouring a Jim Beam on the rocks now to celebrate. COYS

Ho! Really. Their keeper was wasting time from the first moment he collected the ball. On one of his goal kicks he actually took 58 seconds before he replaced the ball. Look at your time piece and see how long 58 seconds is!

I've had the pleasure over the years to watch two players who were outstanding in what they did with a ball, Len Shackleton and Matty. Both of them were denied an England place because they were TOO GOOD and would have exposed the Londoncentric FA selections of their 'own kind' as inadequate. Neither Len nor Matt were 'conformists' and the selectors didn't like anyone who was prepared to put two fingers up to them!

I insist on 'copyright' for my 'Binoculars reference'* in a much earlier post. However, have a good shufti at the pic from the 'away end' and believe me it is C - RAP. I'm long-sighted but find it difficult to see what is happening at the opposite end. The sooner we are out of this League the better. A 'certain' player who shall be nameless but had 'breathing problems' before Saints signed him. I worked at Husbands over at Cracknore Hard and a fellow worker had a song about him that went 'Here comes ..... a coughing and a weasin' best attack he's had all season'. Lawrie Mac was Manager so get your thinking caps on!

My s-i-l says Carlisle were so bad yesterday that anyone could have scored six or seven against them He is concerned that the 'run' stops on Tuesday and Sheff Wed will bring the 'arrogant' Ferguson back to earth. (And my s-i-l is an STH! at Posh!)
