Thanks JB I've hit it and as you say, no report on the Carlisle game yet. Don't know about you but I find his match report excellent and his asides on the 'Chuckle Brothers' brilliant.

My son-in-law (a Posh STH) received his Tickets from Posh yesterday. My daughter is a Saint so she'll be sitting with us. He went to the game on Saturday and is convinced Saints will also slaughter Posh as they have no defence. Our 'collective' bet is that Saints win by at least three clear goals. He is also convinced the Managers time is close to dismissal. PS Can anyone give me the link for the -ten Blog.? My grandsons found my PC active and wrecked it!!! I've lost all of my bookmarks.

Adkins Nominated for Manager of the Month
hasper57saint replied to Giamlarrahan's topic in The Saints
I for one hope he dosen't win it. A team in 'Sash shirts' lost 3 - 1 to a team in 'Blue Shirts' last night. Is this an omen? -
Don't Just take the 'Shrews' for granted. My nipper and I were there when they beat us 2 - 1 a few years back and we were a Prem Side! Trouble was the 'No Brain Oaf ' was in charge.Need I say more?
-
Excellent! I see from the local rag that Shrews will have THREE loan players available on saturday.

Oh! For Gods' sake. Can't you see he's actually applauding Barny as he leaves the pitch? Your observation is almost as bad as the 'Naked King' fable! Incidentally I once shook hands with Bart and believe you me they are BIG!

Best player you've seen play 'in the flesh'

Have a look on Wikipedia (Sp?) and just type in Len Shackleton. He actually scored SIX in his debut for Newcastle in their 13 - 0 win over Newport County. It is to my eternal pleasure to have seen him play. -

This is one for the 'Oldies' Len Shackleton for Sunderland v Leicester (at Leicester in early 1950) Sunderland left back lobbed the ball into the Leicester box and Shack leapt up to trap the ball between his right shin and pad, let it go and turned in mid-air, hit it, and saw the ball in the back of the net before he landed back on the ground. Brilliant. Never seen it done since. Like Matty he wasn't a 'favourite' so didn't get as many caps as he really deserved. -
Ain't I glad I only get three posts a day (which for some, in my opinion, appear quite adequate on this forum at times!) Now because I am unable to stimulate another load of absolute purile speculation as to what 'might have been' rather than 'what is now and hopefully, for a very long time under Nigel Adkins' I'll carry on being an STH and support the Saints irrespective of the Manager. Nuff Said!

I'm only a 'Registered User' yet I made a donation (by cheque) far in excess of £5 as I don't want my card details passed out to the unscrupulous. I could kick up a fuss and demand 'Full Member' status but for what? Living as I do in the 'North' (well West of Birmingham) this site keeps me up-dated on most things 'Saints'. (The OS isn't so transparent as this Forum at times and always put forth the Official line). So rather than whinge, be thankful you have somewhere to air your grievances whether or not they are valid.

Sincere Condolences Darren to you and your family. We know exactly how you feel.

I'm afraid I can't apply. I'm a 'Triple' Graduate of Oxford, Southampton and Sheffield Universities but I have no idea of how to 'Duel' and on Matchdays I'd like to watch the game!

FWIW I've always considered the WOW factor to be 'What's On Where', not an Americanism that should (but dosen't) mean 'A pleasant surprise'. For us up here in the 'North' (Well West Midlands/Wales) and having Villa Fans for neighbours the info from some is they are convinced that MO'N is till in the frame. I'll wait for the official announcement before sending any plaudits.

I'd like to thank Alan Pardew for giving us the best PLUS goal difference in many many years. I just hope his successor is as expidititious in his endeavours.

Markus Liebherr RIP. All tributes here please.

RIP Markus. The Hasper family say thanks for saving our Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. -
They DID prosecute Pimply but the JUDGE threw it out on a 'technicality' saying there 'is no way PFC can pay off the debt and therefore they are free to trade' The onus is now on the Administrator for all debts. The Revenue people are not happy bunnies I can assure you.

Ah! But if this were so. Press Freedom relies entirely on 'honesty and integrity'. When did you last read an 'honest' newspaper? Look how the so-called 'press' destroyed certain England Managers!

Wow! That was so close the 'Sh.t almost hit the Fan!'

Ah! What fantastic memories this brings to my old heart. As a matelot at Diligence (over in Hythe) I often had to go to Thorneycrofts so took the Hythe Ferry to Below Bar in 'S'thampton' and then walk round to get the Woolston Ferry. My best memory is that I was never a 'stranger', Just a Matelot to whom everyone said 'Good Mornin' Jack'! Thanks Saint G

This is getting almost as bad as the verbiage and posts about Nick H. I think it should stop. AP is our manager and will be until such a time as he loses his credit-rating. I'll get me coat!

You Absolute pillock! I had a friend (now deceased) who flew P.51 Mustangs in WW II and shot down SIXTEEN Lufwaffe aircraft. His name was HARLEE! How dare you denigrate his name!!!
