  1. I do feel a bit nervous about us being hailed as a success story when our minimum requirement for the season hasn't yet been achieved.
  2. Christ, he changes jobs quicker then I change trousers.....
  3. I believe his family are now based near to Chandlers Ford or Otterbourne. Certainly, he is seen in the Chandlers Ford ASDA and some of the restaurants in Otterbourne reasonably frequently, and that was both before and after his sacking.
  4. Look at Martinez at Wigan. By simply keeping them up, a club slightly smaller if anything then Reading, he is continually linked to bigger jobs and his reputation soars. If Nigel achieved the same at Reading then he would gain similar plaudits. At Leeds, the past history of the club will ensure that he must be pushing for the top ten/Europa league qualification to get any real credit. Considering the impossible expectations at Elland Road from the fanbase and board, it just doesn't look a very attractive prospect.
  5. I wouldn't credit Leeds as the better job at the moment. The new 'board' has not fulfilled promises they made when taking over from Ken Bates, who still remains a shareholder. While they are undoubtably a bigger club then Reading and always will be, currently they have an unstable squad, little by the way of proven resource to invest in the team and are under a lot of pressure to achieve despite this. Reading on the other hand will have parachute money, a chairman who regrets not spending enough in January and a squad already capable of winning the championship under the leadership of a manger who I consider to be inferior to Nigel Adkins. At this moment in time, given the choice between the two it is an easy choice if it was me. Plus, it removes the need to uproot his family again.
  6. Only tempted.... I didn't follow it up. The ideal would be the build quality of an iPhone, with Windows operating system, S3 hardware specs and an amalgamation of the android/apple app store.
  7. Dad has a Lumia 610. The base model. As far as i'm concerned it's the best budget phone on the market. The window's operating system is the easiest to use i've come across, even better then Apple OS and far, far better then Android. I can't comment on the higher spec hardware and it's build quality but I have been very tempted to switch over to a Lumia from my Galaxy S3.

    Puncheon

My interpretation too. Time for him to step out of the limelight and knuckle down in training to force the manager's hand.
  9. Bugger. 4 point gap it is then.
  10. YES!!!!! Davide Santon.
  11. A massive pity that he retired from international football after Euro 2004.
  12. Grant Holt you donkey.
  13. A comparison made by the father after the game was one between Scholes (at home against Man Utd earlier in the year) and Gerrard. Both seemed to be operating in a similar way, sit behind the attack, get possession and spread the ball as required. His quality is obviously still there and he doesn't need to charge around as much as he used to to contribute.

    F1 2013

Good race I thought. Glad to see that Red Bull are not going to run away with it, their car is unquestionably the quickest over a lap but really needs to be kinder on it's tyres. A superb display from Kimi, showed excellent race-craft and understanding in how to get the best out of his car over the full race distance. A three way battle between the Ferraris, Red Bulls and Lotus's for the title will make for excellent viewing. Shame that McLaren are so far off the pace, similar to Ferrari last year I feel, learning how to make the pull-rod front suspension work for them. They will come good towards the end of the year. Also pleased that Marussia seem to have overtaken Caterham at the back of the grid, they are not far away from the Williams and Toro Rossos.
  15. Very rare that I waste my breathe on you. But really, what a warped parallel universe you inhabit.
  16. Daniel Sturridge. The Skate right back? That is all.
  17. He cost 12 million pounds. He hasn't looked to be 12 million pounds worth of player to me. He is young, will develop..... We hope..... If we can hold onto him I would as he is so evidently talented but his ability to apply it in the right way in this country is key, I would rather he did that here then elsewhere. Yet if 20 million pounds are offered...... Maybe Agents playing games...?
  18. So, you want to go finance because you want the guarantee of dealer support if things go wrong? Just aim for a car of lower value then your budget and use the savings for ongoing maintenance that all cars will need. Dealers are crooks, do not seek their help.
  19. Ahhh you mean the FA Cup game. Possibly. No way the premier league game is.
  20. Not in this country.
  21. Just heard this on Talksport. Was meant to be on the Sunday of the easter weekend, now put back a day to the Saturday, conventional 3pm kick off in order to accomodate the Chelsea v Man Utd cup replay that's been scheduled on the Easter Monday. Excellent.
  22. Completely. Although I really hope Adkins gets compensated justly and fairly. This isn't some random failed employee, he was successful beyond all wildest expectation. I also echo pingwing's sentiments. Would hate for him to go to Reading.
  23. Well, they will have to fill those white elephant stadia out there somehow.
  24. [video=youtube;OBg-P0hsAg0] Glad to see they are learning something worthwhile in the Primary School system.
