  1. Since December I believe..... oh, they are sooooo ready.
  2. As someone who was born 8 years after the event, I cannot agree with the sentiment. The DVD of the cup win is a regular view for me, and seeing the celebrations at the final whistle I cannot help but feel pride and a hope that we will experience similar again in our lifetime.
  3. In a word: No. As the two are not intrinsically linked I cannot take the question too seriously.

    Charity

This is evidently not the case. And the root of the problem.
  5. I would quite enjoy the irony of Saints qualifying for Europe via the fair play league while the Skates had to resort to cheating their way to that FA Cup win.

    Charity

I see the point you are making. I wonder if these are the same people who are training door to door salespeople to adhere to an extremely aggressive sales strategy in order to maximise 'donations.' Like so many things in this country, it's taken the initial spirit and gone too far. Large scale charities such as Macmillans are on the verge of losing all sympathy, regardless of the cause they represent due to their cynical and selfish profit driven sales tactics.

Quite right. It's not about being against charity, it's about knowing that your donation is not going totally to the cause. That a cut is being taken is for me immoral.

Charity is fine. Paying people on a commission basis to go door to door for their cause isn't.
  9. Oh, I'm with you. Still, it's always funny when the arrogant implode.
  10. Right..........
  11. For all those saying Alan Bennett, yes, he had a few nightmare games. His away performance up at Coventry was however heroic. He wasn't unremittingly bad. He was a reasonably young player trying to find his way. Those who where just draining the club for their final paycheques are the worst of the worst.
  12. To further echo people's existing thoughts. Promotion from the Championship for me. To take the momentum from that incredible run at the back end of our promotion from League 1 and immediately translate it to the Championship was astonishing. Nigel Adkins ensured we carried the crest of a wave to the top of that league and then turned us around after an inclement festive period to ensure promotion. Halcyon Days.
  13. It's always going to be subjective. If you are going on facilities, location and amenities St Mary's will always be at the top of the list. It is a perfectly functional facility right in the centre of the city it serves. If you are going for atmosphere, intimidation and character. No, we will not be up there by virtue of the stadium being relative sterile compared to old heaps like Loftus Road.... and even our old Dell. But that article is so terribly researched that really it makes no odds.
  14. That's part of the problem for me, we do not play at a slow tempo, we are constantly pressing, moving, harassing. It doesn't suit Gaston who is still adjusting to the pace of the play we are trying to impose and it will not immediately suit Granero either. It's no mistake that Steven Davis looks better in our team at times despite not having the latent ability of a Ramirez.
  15. Where's Flyer when you need him.....?
  16. The worst? Chris Makin. A highly paid journeyman at the end of his career who was permanently crocked and just served to drain the coffers as we imploded after Burley's reign failed. Symptomatic of our terrible recruitment and horrible malaise in the club at the time. Dishonourable mentions to: Callum Davenport Vincent Pericard Oliver Lancashire Jermaine Wright
  17. 18. There's no way Jason Puncheon will sign a new contract.
  18. From memory, wasn't Otsemobor a short term contract, not a loan?
  19. Cannot add anything other then congratulations.
  20. In fairness, the OP asked about loan signings under Cortese.
  21. As a thought, the West Ham admission that 'financial fair play' will stop them signing Andy Carroll. An admission that they are living beyond their means? Will something stop us operating on similar terms?
  22. It's all getting a bit nuts. Enjoyable, but nuts.
  23. Adrenaline? Photoshop? Just many four letter words.......
  24. Yes, this has helped to put a friend of mine into a very good position going forward. If you are determined enough you will be able to succeed Just never be afraid to ask the right questions, you don't ask you don't get.
  25. I fear one detail would be wrong. Therefore I doubt that concept has any basis in fact. All the same though, thumbs resoundingly up!
