    3d tv

I have recently purchased a new tele, 46" 3D Samsung thing, and thanks to the prohibitive amount I am giving to Sky every month they have kindly let me have their 3D service at no extra cost. However, having now watched a few things on it (Egg chasing, a film etc) I have to say, I am not that impressed. Wearing stupid glasses to watch something that gives a reasonable sense of depth but really doesn't offer more above HD. Am I alone in thinking this? I didn't buy the tele just for it thankfully but I do feel that the whole idea of 3D television is just going to be a passing fad.
  7. I find it very interesting that the material used was apparently deemed as safe by the UK medical authorities. The industry I work in is extremely stringent when it comes to standards and certification, but, there is no absolutely hard and fast rules as to what is fine and not fine, it is down to their customer's auditors to have the final say. So, the question would have to be for me, have the goalposts changed? Or, is this just a massive grey area which can be argued ad infinitum? As a personal thought though, sure any bodily implant presents a risk of some sort?
  8. True. Another loan spell should be on the table for him then, He needs a solid run of game time to try and establish himself just as you suggest. I wouldn't want to risk him in the Championship though, especially with only 5 substitutes. Hoskins on the other hand looked like he had the confidence, guile and ability to help turn a game, a perfect impact player.
  9. Doble wasn't able to make an impact against Coventry, as stated in my Coventry match report he was out-fought and out-thought by the Coventry defence all through his 60 minute spell. A real shame. I feel it was his chance to prove why he should stay, if anything though it gave reasons for him to go.
  10. Little Nicky is worse. 'Don't Mess with the Zohan' wasn't great but had it's moments.
  11. The winner of this poll then, is Dan Harding!
  12. Won't be dissapointed if we are setting our sights higher (the scorer of a winning goal in an international tournament certainly indicates that) but I am convinced he would have served us proud.
  13. Battlefield Earth 3 hours (!) of my life I desperately want back.
  14. You love it.
  15. No, at least they were up front bubblegum pop. And 'Turn Back Time' was a genuinely good little pop song.
  16. COME ON!!!!!!
  17. Come on you KIDSSSSS!!!!!!
  18. Maroon 5. F**king awful.
  19. Are you confusing Shaw with Ward-Prowse?
  20. According to the almighty Wikipedia he is actually on loan at Spurs from Juve. So the twitchy one wants to loan out a loan player? Someone hasn't got their research right!!
  21. In comparison to the rest of europe, this type of investment in our public transport is long overdue. Work needs to be done to remove the reliance on the car in the future and this is a good start, rising fuel prices and the time of travel between the second city and London will hopefully ensure that this is by far the prefered route to take.
  22. Quite right. You want Puncheon? Fine. We'll give you him and some token wedge for Matt Phillips.
  23. My few: - The performance against Manchester United, only one team looked top flight in that first half. - The run of form that led to our promotion from League1, I doubt we'll ever see Saints that relentless ever again. - The Leeds game, and realising what this team might be capable of this season. - Taking the Arse to the cleaners with the Chamberlain transfer. Do not play poker with Nicola Cortese. - Our steal of a signing in Jos Hooiveld - The away win at Coventry. Bragging rights for me over my Neighbours for the first time since I moved here nearly a decade ago. - Rickie's goal v the Skates. - Somehow staying top of the league through december despite our stuttering form.
  24. Utterly, utterly terrible. Sincerest condolences to his family, I can't imagine what they are going through, such joy to terror in no time at all.
  25. If I'd been offered £500,000 four years ago I may have considered it.... But now, not for any money.
