  1. Massive. Massive club.
  2. Dear god. That's a woman!?
  3. Yes we do. It's so we could meet UEFA 4 Star stadium standards. And no, we can't do anything about it. Hope that helps.
  4. Ahem. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?27647-Conspiracists-and-Sabateurs
  5. I agree entirely. This is something we should look to profit upon. Who knows, once we have become a massive all encompassing sports empire we can dominate Rugby, Cricket, Athletics, Speedway, Tiddlywinks, Monkey Chicken Petting, Sheep Shearing, Caber tossing, 3D Chess and Bacon Slicing. Once I had a dream.....
  6. Maybe so, but from the moment I had to change my pre-match pub from 'The Eagle' things improved quite a lot!!!
  7. Has to be the same car park, same bookies and same pub on the way up... The walk back has to be the same route too. When they shut the railways bridge for rebuild not far from the college street car park I was utterly lost. (And it coincided with our awful form around september too.... make of that what you will.)
  8. Now a scout at Milan and 37. No thanks.
  9. Before a Skate comes to hijack this thread. Quality is not inversely proportional to Quantity. If they did Colden Common FC would be epic.
  10. St Mary's Stadium could not handle an 8 lane 400 metre atheltics track. The field size at SMS is quoted on both the football ground guide and Wikipedia as 102 meters. An approximate distance from the front of the Chapel and Northam Stands to the field edge is circa 5 meters. Therefore the total length of space available in St Mary's can be confidently stated to be no more then 115 meters. An 8 lane 400 metre running track needs more then 160 meters of length. (My prior calculations gave lengths of either 162.5 or 167.5 meters based on conflicting data on how long the tracks front and back 'straights' are, either 80 or 85 meters.) Even if I am being far too conservative in my estimate of terrace to field distance we are still WAY off having the room. Conclusion: An athletics track would not fit in St Mary's Stadium, regardless of the football pitch.
  11. The same could be said for Theo. He was purchased from Swindon. On that logic i'm happy to throw in Kenwyne Jones into the mix, we made him into a footballer after all.
  12. Cotterill: "I think the boy has been ill advised." HAHA. Look in the mirror Steve, if you slag of his youth side team mates and freeze them out then of course he'll be having second thoughts.
  13. It's just wide enough, but unless the playing area and cinder track is 160+ meters long then no, it couldn't.
  14. Yes, I have it right here. Havn't contacted the CC company. They are my bank though, I've been checking the card's balance online daily.
  15. Both extremely capable devices then, just as I suspected.
  16. I am having some fun and games regarding some carpets I have purchased (well.... tried too.) Back on the 30th December I went to Carpet Right to buy two new carpets + underlay + fitting. Total cost £1000. They were having issues with their main computer systems at the time so I paid via credit card on one of those old fashioned manual swipe machines. Nearly a month on, the carpets have been installed... they are smashing..... but I still havn't been charged... I have nothing else on my credit card and enough of a balance to cover the sale so no problems there. I have told carpet right this but they say it's processed by a firm called 'Streamline.' Nothing to do with them. Where do I stand with this? Have I been given free carpets or will I get charged at some point in the future? Could I expect a baliff banging on the door or does my Sales Invoice protect me?
  17. You'll be in a Man Citeh pub? Right?
  18. I have no problem wearing my replica shirt. The other guests at the wedding reception in york may find it a little odd though.
  19. The inside radius of a running track is 36.4 meters. Each lane is about 1.2 meters. Length was taken from IAFF regulations which states an 85 meter straight, but ok, take 80m. Therefore the total length is: 80 meters + 2*radius (72.4) + 2* 8 lanes (2*8*1.2) = 162.5m Still way too much to fit inside SMS.
  20. The rectagular area required to fit a 400 meter running track with 8 lanes is 167m x 82.5m. The maximum dimensions of a pitch are 120m x 90m. (Minimum dimension is 90m x 50... considering that we have the largest pitch itself though.... I would expect that only Loftus Road is anywhere near this.) It would be tight, but unless there is 25m+ clearence from the front of the Chapel/Northam end to the pitch edge. No, it wouldn't fit. We do not have a running track and I am not a juvenile.
  21. Even allowing for the pitch perimeter there simply is not the space inside St Mary's for a full size running track. It may have been part of an original proposal but it certainly isn't there now. Even the shape of the stands doesn't work for it.
  22. The perimeter around our track is rather large. The only way to add seats would be to dig downwards to continue the stand..... that's impossible though due to St Mary's essentially being at Sea Level. We don't exactly suffer for it though... atmosphere at some of the bigger/more important games is always excellent in my experience.
  23. Don't worry, when it all comes to a head you will no doubt get the deserved reaction from our rational forum users.
  24. Formula One Motor racing. 1992-2000 or Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
  25. Hmmm, In the 'Your rumours' section. Wouldn't believe that.
