He really has shot himself in the foot big time then by stating how much he prefers it at Millwall then. His attitude/judgement really does leave a bit to be desired.

I would let him go there. Personally I couldn't care less if there's a section of chavs down there who dislike us. I see the Cherries as a second team and want them to do well. Obviously I want Saints to prevail though in the event we play each other. (2 out of 2 will do for this season so far!) It seems the football league won't let them loan anyone though so who cares! Just why are they still under a transfer embargo despite comin out of admin so long ago now?

I hate these games. An odd mixture of relief and frustration. We could have won/lost in equal measure.

Your wish is their command.

Bennett and Murray sound utterly excellent going forward. I do not like this at all.

This man is on fire!!!! Send him on for Rickie.

Have you ever considered a career in politics? Great spin!

Carrying a slight knock apparently.

Would be over the moon with that!

Indeed, we are not a load of wusses. How was your run?

No, he pulled one of the wolves players shirts until it nearly split. He didn't quite get me that excited. Alan Bennett's debut on the other hand...
-
I remember Dennis Wise's debut v Wolves. Damn near pulled someone's shirt off.

Just wondering, where did the idea that these shirts could be kept in the first place come from? Was it ever said by the person giving the shirts out or just assumed by the childrens parents? Edit: Just seen that the free ticket letter said the children would be 'given' a t-shirt to wear. Ok, an easy (if wishful) assumption to make. But still an assumption all the same, another lesson to the club, never leave a grey area in your gestures... despite a free something they will always want more.

I really wish I could be there tonight. Work however makes it impossible. What a stupid game to have midweek. Hope the boys do us proud tonight.

Club versus Country? A study into football fan loyalty
Colinjb replied to fanloyaltystudy's topic in The Saints
Not sure why that would wind you up so much mate? I've always seen it as an occasion, a novelty. A break from maybe the good or bad that is happening with your daily club. I've always enjoyed the gatherings in pubs to watch england, when it's a big game it's the next best thing to being there. -

Completed the questionnaire. However, there was little in there which really put you on the spot over which you prefer. Considering a managerial decision which is very likely to happen within 2 yeats I would end up being highly ambivalent over the national teams fortunes. I support England at the moment but never ever at the expense of my club. -
Is this the second season in? You may have about 20 million to spend (well I did....) but still so scout for frees. I managed to pick up David Bentley, Mido (Unproffesional but good) and Hatem Ben Arfa (Moody but good). Try loaning Federico Macheda if you can get him. As for Centre backs my three of Jose Fonté, Jay DeMerit and David Edgar (Can also play centre mid) are doing well. Tyrone Mears has also been a cracking signing. Andrew Driver from Hearts is a cracking left sided winger and Salaheddine Sbai from Nimes Olympique a great budget left back. (Keep Harding as back up.) I signed Manolo Reina (keeper) from Levanté for 130K, an utter steal. As another quick and excellent winger/forward look for Abdoul Camara of Stade Rennes. I am 8th in the Prem first season up using this: ------------------------- Macheda ------------------------- Driver ------------------- Ben Arfa ----------------- Bentley -------------- Schneiderlin ---------- Edgar ---------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- Sbai ----------- DeMeritt ----------- Fonte ---------- Mears ------------------------Manolo Reina ---------------------- Chamberlain is developing superbly, use him were you can.

Bloody hell. I'm trying to get fit at the moment but if I tried that I'm sure death would swiftly follow.

I hope she wins it! Just to expose how pointless it is allowing the public to have a say on 'talent' contests. They will just take the **** given the chance!

Redknapp, we all hate but we all know we missed out, don't we?

Wasn't he also linked to us when Glenn Hoddle left us back in 2001? -

Redknapp was always a bad fit from day one. A knee jerk reaction from Rupert Lowe to get one over Milan Mandaric. He would always have resisted any financial demands from his 'manager' and told him to do his job and manage the players. After the debacle of Steve Wigley though we would have accepted anything. His unprofessionalism after accepting the role here must be something that can never be forgiven.
