Sha La La La La La La!! We are really laughing now!
-
SRL could be up against Uruguay defender/captain, now aged 32 who has signed for WBA, in the season opener. I reckon SRL will fancy his chances against Diego, who must be struggling now, had lots of injuries at PSG.
-
Clarke just declared - time to bore the pants off everyone for 2 more days, play for a draw.

Warner is such a idiot. Get lost!

Here is another twist to add on the anniversary today - I have been in an Employment Tribunal today and my ex employers wanted to justify booting me out as I spent too long on the Forum. And how did they know i had left the office for good?? I had taken my Matt Le Tiss mug with me!! FF has a lot to answer for causing obsessions in grown men over the last 4 years!!!!!!!!

55 now, living in Romsey. STH in Northam with wife (who I met at Old Trafford) and 2 daughters. First game at the Dell was 1967 Notts Forest won 2-1, hooked ever since; away was 1974 Charlton lost 4-0; been to 78 other grounds since then. Car reg is GK 58 SFC, wife's is L60 SFC!

Totally agree; need a stronger more verbal character. Get the monkey off his back and concentrate on his game and shooting.
-
Simple - 6 foot two, eyes of blue, Dejan Lovren's after you!! (As we used to sing for Jimmy Steele)
-
terry Paine, MLT and SRL for me, had to be 7.

Martin, Kirkup, Hollywood; Fisher, McGrath, Gabriel; Paine, Channon, DAVIES, O'Neill, Jenkins. Always remember that team, he was my first Dell hero who I tried to emulate his heading skills. very sad, too young.

Only Cardiff left to go to now (new stadium) having missed out on Wigan this season! And Dellhurst Park HWC!! -
End of Season Review: 14th Place - 41 points
fanimal replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
we dropped more points from a winning position than any other team -29 points - if we had those would have finished 6th, that is the measure of my slight chagrin at what might have been. To a certain extent after winning cups and promotions in the previous 3 years we have been spoilt rotten, but that is what makes a winning team mentality, success breed success, want to see more ruthless habits next season. -
SAINTS 1-1 Stoke City // Post-Match Reaction
fanimal replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Why no comments about the short ass lino in front of the Itchen first half? 3 awful decisions in the first half, and his flag switching cameo in the second was hilarious! Was the goal really offside?? Begovic touched it onto the post before SRL smacked it in (great finish btw). Some better decisions on the final pass when 2 on 2 on 3 occasions in the first half and we could have been out of sight by half time. Stoke are awful to watch, ugly ugly crew. -
Just remember the awful train journey down ('special" from Soton) went all around the houses, tired old carriages, dirty toilets; the rain; being in a packed pub seeing the team - WTF? no Fabrice and Chris Baird??. Then sitting behind the smelliest old couple I have ever encountered. Proud of our support staying behind despite losing - bettered at the JPT in 2010, well done all you yellows and reds!!
-
Just goes to prove that from Day One the real thrust of this thread was that we all wanted the DFCSB to be dead and buried, liquidated. Still sticks in the craw that they are not. Festering stinky disease that will not go away.
-
Said SRL got clattered by some lumps a few games ago, got no fouls and went off moaning at the ref big time at half time, not been the same since. targeted.
-
Jos must play, his type of game; only change JP for Adam. Simple. Need to win ti finish as high as possible, money at stake.
-
Season not over yet, lets go out with a home win and if results go with us then finish in a position 100% of us would have taken at the start of the season, let alone after the awful start!! Well done Saints, COYR.together as one.
-
On the plus side, if Villa win, Arsenal can overtake Chelsea by beating Wigan, moving to 70 points. Draw best result we can hope for now though IMO.
-
We need Chelski to win really but they look a bit leggy, 67th game.
-
Strangest, as in least expected, definitely Wolves 6-0 as everything went right for us that day no matter what we did. Summed up by the look of surprise on Leon Best's face when he scored. Then for me, Leeds when we drew 2-2 in the first leg of the League Cup semi final, after being 2-0 down and being battered. Afterwards being chased up the road by a seriously angry mob, me trying to hang on to a police horses tail and making the minibus with the door being pelted! Adrenalin fuelled evening or what.

Mauricio Pochettino: The Argentine at Southampton with big plans
fanimal replied to thornhill_saints's topic in The Saints
Two things struck me from that article; Players need two lungs - hence why we looked knackered on Saturday; Cortese calls him 4 times a day - Have you arrived? Is everyone there? Has anyone been injured? Is Guly OK? Spanish Armada on its way then. -
I pray that you are right and my prediction is rubbish, but having sweated through many run ins best to predict the worst....the key game is WBA v Wigan on Saturday, if WBA win, then I will rest much easier, simple really?
-
I predict a meltdown on here on Tuesday around 10pm when we are just two places above the bottom 3 and Wigan are on 38 points having just beaten Swansea at home, Norwich on 38 in between having lost at home to a now rampant Villa who will have 40 points like Newcastle (win at Wham) and Sunderland (win at Stoke, 40 as well.) Then still two games and 12 days of bum squeezing to go.....

18 and I put my ticket in my boot (DM) as well! Just remember the traffic jams from Chandlers Ford (no M3!! lower down) round the North Circ and couldnt wait to get in the stadium, up on the upper level. Strangely never felt that nervous about Manure as I was convinced we were going to win. But the euphoria when that goal went in, fell down several rows of terrace, it was moving! Fantastic last 10 minutes then seeing the Cup glint as Queen handed it to Pete. Got back to Lymington in time to watch MOTD with my scarf still round my neck, and then lived it all again on Sunday and Micky's game v QPR. Saints fans love fest the like of which we may never see again, but hope we do!!
