Chelsea 2 Saints 2 - Post Match Celebrations & MotM
fanimal replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Funny old game agian - we played quite well in the first half, but no real conviction, J Rod was more of a target man than running channels. Then the usual half clearance they score; then pray we will get to half time 1-0, guess what we concede again; just did not see the second half turn around coming to be honest! Sorry but JOs and Guly and Davis are not Jose, Lallana and Ramirez, still have my doubts on Yoshida he still makes silly mistakes in crucial areas. We were in the East Stand up the other end from Saints fans, how can home fans be so fickle?? where were all those noisy lot at SMS?Then Sir Richard the Lionheart arrives, puts the scares up their defence, 2-1, back in it great work by Clyne; then blow me Shaw does the same down the other side! Fantastic strike from Punch great running by everyone to make the space. Then the usual last 10 minute nervy half siege, thank god for Torres!! 4 points from2 away games brilliant start to a real tough month and run of games. COYRS!! -
Typical - was on the 718 from Winchester so must have gone by about 810, was still asleep/eyes shut, as was most of carriage 9!! no one said a word! Now saying the helicopter was flying to Elstree so must have been making emergency landing at Battersea heliport, never quite made it....

REL have not walked; as I said before they are banking on getting FP on the cheap; marry it with the Miland car park and you have a 'planning unit' that PCC will then deal with, they do not want the sites in isolation. Tesco are there to do a store on stilts (like Fareham) that is compliant with their strategy/format, and will either buy or lease. REL will not have the money to develop or have it any where near pre funded yet its too vague. You are talking 3- 4 years until any profit is realised. PFC do not have that amount of time, 3-4 weeks more like!!

I saw that too think its a rehash of those we know about going, Harley, Williamson, etc rats surrying down the tattered mooring rope....
-
Hatch, Clapham, Torres, Gemmell, Trousres Joe K, Steve G, are we convening at the George tomorrow lunchtime as previously planned?
-
It will be a night for a warming hip flask me hearties! Time to pack the defence and midfield go for a bore draw for once, leave Jay Rod on his own up front.

I work in commercial property and I have it from the horses mouth that Tesco have not bought the Miland land; they are still very interested in it however as they are with a down size of the B&Q unit opposite, owned by Sellar Properties, who also as I have said before have a ransom strip over the access to the car park site. REL have bought the Miland plot unconditionally very cheaply, on the hope that they can also acquire FP on th echeap from BC, that is their strategy, to then deliver a store for Tesco as the LA wish to see a comprehensive scheme. If REL are unsuccessful an alternative redevelopment scheme would still be viable if they have not paid too much for Miland. Without doubt REL are doing this for commercial gain, not to try and keep the rotting carcass alive or the PST in the FL.

Here's some Aston Villa team news from BBC Sport's Pat Murphy: "Paul Lambert says Darren Bent's knee injury is not as bad as first feared after the Bradford match - but he won't be fit for tomorrow's match against Southampton. Nor will Marc Albrighton or Chris Herd (both foot injuries). "Shay Given is struggling with a hamstring strain but Brad Guzan will return. Ron Vlaar is back in training (calf) after missing the last six months with a calf injury but will miss out tomorrow. Richard Dunne expects to resume training next week after a groin operation and could be available at end of January

Ironic yet again that on the day the media make a fuss about the new Tipner Jct on the M275, the first MWay investment in the south for 20 years, that will open up land for regeneration, all the usual suspects (MPs council leaders etc) highlight the cash sums, including £8.5M from PCC, none of them point out that if the DFCSB had paid HMRC then it wouldnt be necessary? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-20950850

Exactly 3.5 years to the day since FF started this bestest selling novel; I was working in Turkey and had just crossed back into Asia when i got the text about the takeover, so it has seen me through 4 different jobs and a redundancy period during that time keeping me sane and humoured in the darkest of days, so thank you all for your input many times over!! It still has plenty left in it though, we should reach 2000 pages with ease, but without doubt this month will be a water shed. WTFILN.

I am driving up Saturday am have 2 spare seats if anyone wants a lift from Romsey area.
-
78 now, with relocations like Derby, Leicester, Coventry, Boro only counting as one. Wigan and Swansea are the stand out two, the rest are in lower leagues up north, muck like Griffo above.
-
Well after last night, more optimism? And hasnt Aaron Martin been recalled from Palace?
-
Agree with Saint Clark, Rickie has taken one hell of a battering in the games v Stoke and Arsenal, give him a breather until the last 25minutes v Chelsea maybe; Villa is by far the more important game.
-
Pass of the game was the roll out to Ramirez on the half way line; he should stick to that and not kick!!
-
The 80% of saints fans who dont read this forum will not give a hoot either way, so 10% of them will wear Santa hats and why not? Worry about whats on the pitch in front of you, not what headgear someone has fgs! Bah humbug....
-
I think the real point here is yet again the anti Saints bias of the BBC. Noticed it on MOTD.
-
Thats not good news for us then, means Arsenal have one less game before they play us. Not fair, in the Xmas spirit of things. Still, might be 5 inches of snow by Jan 1st.
-
Well, me and a few thousand others! Actually it was tongue in cheek as I think HW is a very good, if not the best, ref around. Shame that AL is not playing, HW would be sure to give him a penalty and not book him for 'diving' as per the Swansea game....
-
We always get Schitt refs!!
-
seriously, at what point do the Boys in Blue from Hampshire plod walk in on the Blue Few and deliver the 'coup de grace'? Outright theft is taking place yet again in front of everyones eyes, the MP included, and no one in any position of power does a thing! Emporers clothes or what.....
-
