Barclays: "Significantly increase attendances" AND "sell players"
ericofarabia replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Maybe SFC (SLH ) should write to all the banks suggesting how they can all cut their own debts and not rely on Tax Payers money to bail them out :smt115 Admittedly Barclays didn't take the tax payers money route but I think got bailed out by money from the Middle East ... pity we can't do the same It really naffs me off the way the banks can close down famoily businesses, new enterprises and football clubs, yet can't even keep their own books in order  As said though, if it was the only way to oust the dark lord, so long as it has a happy ending then que sera sera I guess. -
Watford 1-1 Saints - First Half & Half Time Chat
ericofarabia replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Lucky git No more Old Speckled Hen left, making do with london Pride and no bloody commentary has completely killed off my evenings entertainment and taken the edge off the nice bottle of red with the dinner. Really ****ed off at not hearing the commentary and missing out on the excitememnt of us scoring a goal and being in the lead. Cucking Funts  Bah Humbug ... roll on Friday and hope Goodfellas don't **** up showing the match . Not even enjoying my beer now ... Sock Cuckers. -
Well this has really ****ed me off big time. Looks like the club has gone bust already. No commentary, no team news on OS and no text commentary either. Overseas fans cannot listen to Solent or Radio Hampshire on line due to contractual reasons ... so as the normal request from others goes ... any commentary links for tonights game please . On a day like today when keeping the fans up to date with goings on we get zilch  Relying on you guys to keep us in the picture as to what is happening on the pitch. This is possibly my 3rd post of the day so thanks in advance COYS

I'm quite partial to a nice pair of firm Melons on a woman Maybe this is where the saying 'losing your cherry' comes from  It could also could explain the origin of the quaint 'just going to squeeze the lemon' for girls going off to have a wee re getting rid of cats we bought a cat scarer which acts a bit like a burglar alarm, sending out infra red (?) beams which detect movement and when activated sends out a very high frequency tone which cats (and presumably other animals as well) dislike intensely. A bit pricey though to be honest but defo worked for us. we found ours on a mail order ad in one of the Sunday newspaper supplements. Another pretty good method is if you have a garden hose give them a blast of cold water each time they get anywhere near your garden. After a while they get the message!!

LOL ... so that's why you go into The Pensioners before the match

What can we expect to happen this week?
ericofarabia replied to Amesbury Saint's topic in The Saints
One thing for sure is that I will be praying that somebody from the club doesn't appear in The Echo or OS saying "the boys are really up for it, the mood and atmosphere in training is really positive and we are confident we will be able to pay back the fans on Tuesday" It's as if statements like these are normally followed by a resounding costly defeat. Playing against and beating (narrowly )Motorway traffic cones in training is one thing but once out on the pitch everything seems to go out of the window. Anything less than a 3-0 defeat at Watford would be an improvement on our normal visits there I guess but a handsome win ahead of the televised visit to Wolves would make sure the boys are really up for it with a great mood and atmosphere in training and confident of rewarding the travelling supporters ...... -
Saints Merchandising Department happily announce that after record breaking sales of their new Dartboard / Punch Bag design featuring ol' rosy cheeks, the club are now solvent. However there may be a set back as Roops intends filing a Beckhamesque image rights case against the club

Oh firkin ell At least we have plenty of time to recover , but that will take the wind out of the early pre match euphoria. Think this is my last post so here comes the weather report early doors .... I was taking it as a good omen that after a week of thunderstorms, rain and cloudy dull weather the sun has just returned and blue skies are back ... looks like we need the weather reports, woots and muffins etc as much as cash at the moment. Come on fellow posters do your bit 3rd beer already, nails already bitten to the quick ... only 85 mins of torture to go
-
Okay maybe the first on record ......
-
Can't be arsed to watch it, but did he open the interview by reading aletter from a satisfied fan

Ladies do you your prefer your man's plums neatly trimmed (or even the full back crack and sack waxing look )or the more natural wild growth look? Whilst on here I might as well get my 1st out todays 3 posts money's worth and continue on in Finbar Saunders mode with words like manur, bedding, rooting and fertilising and phrases like planting your seed, well trimmed bushes and meat and 2 veg etc etc F'narrrr Chortle F'naaarrr.
-
I think you forgot the "Lowe Out! And take your Dutch boyfriend with you" bit.
-
Which bit are you buying, B-anter Leisure Holdings or B-anter Forum Board? You'd better be quick as Roops might make a move on it now that SLH or whatever has gone down the tubes
-
Funnily enough I was thinking exactly the same thing whilst watching The News just now ..... hopefully there will be enough footage for the police to spring a few early morning calls. It really does show how badly football supporters are treated without any provocation most of the time

soooo.....which song best sums up your current mood ??
ericofarabia replied to Smirking_Saint's topic in The Muppet Show
In response to Hamster's CentreFold Watch out ... here comes The Lovin Spoonful -
And there might even be a clause as well :smt083
-
Conspiracy theory #59. Maybe there is a claus that should have been based on Appearances made, but due to a typo error ended up as payment for non appearances ... hence his name being 1st on the team sheet no matter how badly he is performing

Saints V Blackpool,1st half and half time chat
ericofarabia replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Lets hope BWP can return to the role of SuperSub. I seem to remember him scoring quite a few of his goals when he has come on as a Subin his earlier days for us, before he starting living the life of gangster/petty thief. Straws ... clutching. Goal mouth scramble .... DMG kicks the pitch instead of the ball, corner to us ... zilch comes of it COYS we need 3 points from this. -
ITV4 - Thursday - 1979 League Cup Final - Saints v Forest
ericofarabia replied to jim_bergerac's topic in The Saints
I think it had snowed the night before, but most had melted the next day. Only in places where it had accumulated in heaps against walls that were in the shade survived. I remember having a small snowball fight near the window of the Wembley Indoor Arena which was hosting a darts championship. Wonder if we made it on TV:). Remember the biggest chant outside the ground was "We'll be back again in May" only to lose to The Arsenal on the Wednesday, after drawing the 1st match on Monday at The Dell . I really hated Arsenal after that, as we had asked for the game to be rescheduled from the Monday after a Cup Final and the muggy ****s said no:mad: As somebody else said the poor lambs ca't cope with 2 league games in a week. just had a quick check and we played 6 games in 14 days, 5 of which were high tempo cup games. Mar 10 1-1 at WBA. Mar 12 FAC Replay 2-1 at The Dell Mar 17 LC Final at Wembley 2-3 Mar 19 FAC Q/Finals 1-1 at The Dell v Arse Mar 21 Replay 0-2 Mar 24 L 0-2 at Bolton !! We then had 2 more games on 28th at spurs and then H to Leeds on the 31st. 6 games in 14, 8 in 21 on heavy muddy pitches and only 1 sub per game. Men were men in those days -
Exactly my thoughts. If it is an us or them relegation scenario we will probably be allocated the minimum permittable amount to reduce our influence on the outcome.
-
No matter how many tickets they give us, it won't match the 76/77 FA Cup when about 10000 Saints fans took The Trent End. The match itself was one of the all time classics, a 3-3 draw with an absolute stunner from Ossie that nearly ripped the back of the net out. I fear we maybe be needing more than a draw this time around though.
-
3 old grumpy Saints fans sat on a bench remembering times gone by when watching Saints was fun and we had players of the ilk of Keegan, Ossie, Bally, Shilton and Channon etc, and we used to win home games, and nobody knew who the chairman was and teh innernet hadn't been invented......... as each happy/momentus memory out does the last, covering finishing 2nd place in Div 1, thrashing Man U 6-3, Liverpool 4-1, Arsenal 3-2, playing regulary in Europe, reaching various Cup Semi finals, the League Cup Final... and of course the I was there when we won the FA Cup........... Pah You try telling the kids of today, and they won't beleive you.
-
Their decisions may not be just football related Maybe they'll change their minds now knowing you won't be sat there next season
-
82nd minute and we get our first corner ... straight into the keepers hands
-
Wow that was thrilling wasn't it. Think I'll paint one of my walls and watch it dry during the 2nd half, it might make the match sound interesting We really need to take advantage of the other clubs results elsewhere. The atmosphere sounds deathly subdued or is it just their microphones aren't working very well? COY Red and white maaaaaaaaaaaasssssssshhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnn:p
