  1. As an attacking unit we are virtually non existant and Barnsley are getting more and more on top from my interpretation of the commentary. Barnsley sound like they are there for the taking, but as each second goes by its sounding worse and worse for us and the home crowd are getting behind the team and now they hit the post .... we need to make a change to get on the front foot again. This is probably my last post!!
  2. Barely heard any of the Midfield or 2 forwards names mentioned ... time for maybe Gillet to come on and get some challenges in, or Mclaggon on for BWP or McG and actually play as a winger. COYR ... we need at least 2 goals as Cureton will score against us My last post, but Happy New Year to all you World wide fellow Saints ... keep the faith and pray the Spirit of Southampton is somehow rediscovered.
  3. He scored for Chelski against the skates and after enduring all the usual scummer chants from them all match, he made a point of running in front of them as he celebrated and was quite possibly giving them the finger or ****** gesticulation if memory serves me right. His other goal celebration of note was at Bolton (for us) possibly his first goal (?). He ran the length of the pitch doing the famous Mick Channon Windmill. On the subject of Bridgey it's all gone quiet on whether we had any sign on clause when we sold him. Seems mad not to have done, with a player of his age and quality when we sold him. But with our history of transfer **** ups (Alan Shearer) it wouldn't come as any surprise.
  4. So the general feeling is that we won't make the play offs this season then
  5. And ugly enough
  6. Don't be so selfish ... think of the damage to the economy if you reduce your match beer consumption Have a good day
  7. The smile on the Inflatable Auto Pilot's face .... The little girl ... I take my coffee black , like my men .... Iwo Jima .... But most of all there are so so many little things going on in the back ground that you pick up on the 2nd or 3rd viewing that makes Airplane worth watching over and over again and still find new things to genuinely LOL at.
  8. Unfortunately the standard at the level of football he was coaching at in CloggyLand was probably about par with Eastleigh Reserves
  9. Having to get up at 0430 the next day, I'll probably be on softies after the 4th or 5th goal and Rock Bottom is a 100% no go for me :(. All in all a pretty fruitless night out  SFC 0 Moan U PLC 6
  10. Couldn't listen to the commentary due work, but followed the 2nd half by the live text on BBc and OS. My finger hasn't recovered from all the hitting the refresh button  Also had an eye on the other scores ... Donny and Forest and even Charlrton were all winning when I first looked so had we gone behind we'd have been bottom of the table, luckily Sheff Utd woke up!! At least Norwich have been dragged back down into the mire. Still we are 1 point and 4 goals goal difference better off than I was expecting so things could have been worse, and Skatesmuff lost again.
  11. Don't forget the old ...and against the run of play ( insert opposition) score with their 1st effort of the game from a corner/free kick into the area. Is it just my link or does the OS commentary keep fading out? PS Belated Xmas greetings and Best Wishes for 2009 to all the Saints fans world wide.
  12. Most optimistic post of the day so far .... assuming we will still be in Chumpionshiite and not League 1 :smt044 I will be interested to hear the reasoning behind this team selection (sweepstake/lucky dip system maybe ). Not only the team selection but lack of experience on the bench as well. Holmes and Smith are probably not fully fit and not likely to last 90 mins. ... and I'll flinch at every tackle Lancashire makes  Don't tell me we are resting players for the Reading match, this game is probably more winnable than the Reading game bearing in mind our crap home form
  13. Having been busy with Xmas parties, shopping etc only just got around to putting in my prediction for todays game at Plymouth, but unable to do so ..can I register a 1-1 on here pretty please?
  14. Don't forget, all those youngsters probably put on the pay per view porn as soon as they got to their rooms, had a cup of ovaltine and fell asleep, leaving the pay to view running all night
  15. pun was intended. Bring on United
  16. Yet another great save from Kelvin Davis, what's that 4 or 5 already ... don't think the Forest keeper has made 1 yet Armstrong is pulling his hair out at the **** poor crossing of Saints from far too deep, nobody getting to the bye line yet again Oh ****e 2-0 :smt078
  17. Ouch Probably be their Grand Parents if the amount of teen pregnancies is anything to go by 1969 -74 ish and then to the more civilised BP for a couple of years to try and get an education
  18. I loved his quip about Claus's lack of goals when he said something like he was half expecting the ref to book Claus for time wasting each time he went up for a corner I think it was when Niemi hit the bar and Killer scored in the last minute to equalize when we were playing Fulham at Loftus road ? whilst Craven Cottage was being rennovated or something or other  Anyway WGS is going spare along with everybody else involved with Saints and was jumping about on the pitch when somebody from Fulham told him to get off the pitch and he replied along the lines of Bog off it's not your pitch anyway Top Top Man indeed, and would be welcome back at SMS any day of the year in my book.
  19. The place never recovered from me leaving in 1979. The local economy took a major nosedive when the money generated from my beer drinking was moved else where  As an ex resident and also a Quilley Old Boy with many friends and family still living in Eastleigh and surrounding areas it saddens me when I am back home on visits to see the place slowly dying a painful death (not that there was ever much life in the old place anyway ) with shops closing left right and centre and chavvy little scroats roaming the streets. Will The Woolworths building become the biggest Charity shop in England when Woolies closes for good :smt042 I'm sure there are worse places in the country though
  20. Must be difficult making the adjustment from Flying on a Broomstick to driving a and having to park a car I'm intrigued by the sign next to the front door ... was it an advert like "I'm a witch and if you want somebody turned into a newt, or a cure for being ginger , call 02380123456
  21. Just so long as Jan doesn't predict that we'll win at least 6 of our next 10 we'll be okay Maybe the players (well the ones that aren't sold/given away ) can all make their New Year's Resolution to actually win some home games
  22. Lord Duck Hunter Roops might have a few spare ...quack quack
  23. Now why doesn't that come as a surprise to me Actually in a way it does, I'd have thought you'd been a fully signed up tree hugging veggie a long long time ago
  24. Pah  Looking at the title I thought we'd signed a fantastic new player, before I realised we were on TMS  Actually, maybe this fred should be sent to SMS and tell JP to check on the players birth signs and base his team selection and tactics on players star signs that get along together. (assuming that's not what he does already )
  25. Lolage .... Bring On United
