  1. This may be my last post as Saints pull 1 back ... just to lull us into thinking we might get back into it, only minutes after Wolves have a 3rd goal harshly disallowed. What is that line by John Cleese in Clockwatch .. it's not the possiblity of failure that hurts most, it's the faint hope of success ... or somethhing along those lines . Well Wolves may well be the highest scorers in the league, but are prone to letting in goals .. 5-5 anybody ? Good response from the crowd after the goal , now a corner ... and of course not a lot happens If we somehow get into a lead ... my nerves are going to shattered as I know we won't be able to hang onto it. Dave Armstrong ... the move was so complicated it was obvious Wow .... we survive a Carlos Edwards cross .. things are looking up
  2. Beautiful morning and then a strange dust storm and clouds !!! in the sky .. Sub 30c temps ... winter must be on it's way  Weather report out of the way .... Cope reports that Mick McCarthy is waving his crutch about  Did somebody mention that Wolves are unbeaten in 17 games, that fills me with hope ..... ooooppppss well it did until 30 secs ago Wolves 1-0 up with their first attack :smt048
  3. LOL .. name your price .
  4. They failed to show my place ... which is of course partyville arizona 24/7 ... except when saints lose ... ) Dubai IS a great place to live, but day by day being riuned by chavvy Brits arriving here and acting like they are still in Skatesmuff or Chavsville where ever. LOL to add to the Biggest, fastest, longest etc Guiness Book of Records for Dubai look out for worst trading losses, car crashes, road deaths, and beers drunk per expat from a Uk city
  5. If I remember correctly (his first words as a SFC manager were along the lines 'of f*cck knows how I'm going to keep this bunch of c+nts up, I need 5 loans at least ..! Meanwhile Bryan Robson who had just started at relegation doomed WBA was praisung his squad ... guess who stayed up Man mis mismagement to the fore . thanks Harry you c+nt. League Cup at Mansfield (?) so many LC f*ck ups in recent times hard to distinguish ;-)) ... sends out our youth team plus an out of form and low in cofidence Rory Delap as Captain .. we lose ... ****flaps uses this as his excuse for not blooding theo/Dex etc as proof and says they aren't any good. The fact they played to his instructions and tactics is never mentioned. This was the day I realised he was a prize 1 c_nt. FA Cup V Man U ... our moral low but just imagine what a good performance against Man U would do .. oh no lets send the reserve team out to get thrashed and SFC are in the Sh1te again, Last day win V Man U ...leave SKP out ... we lose and are down. Don't give me Redkrap is great. The truth is he just didn't give a feck whilst he was here, point scoring and self justifaction were No 1 whilst here .. and now is benifitting from inhereting one of the most expensively asmbled squads in the league. I could have done the same with that squad .. change at the top was what was needed ... sound familiar. Last day win V Man U essential ... most important day in our history ... leave SKP on Bench.... the rest is history.
  6. We don't win many Sky games thats for sure, but I think we tend to do quite well with the Late Saturday games ... Luton and Burnley spring to mind. COYS.
  7. If it is on the Rate your Weekend fred, that'll be a bit late  Come out and suffer with us, you know you want to Re the Friday bit ... a black president of America, Saints coming back from being 2 down .... anything could happen you know
  8. Are you getting your secks action in early so that you can come and join us for a few bevvies then Hope you are successful with your location Jay are you still in Dubai or have you moved to Abu Dhabi with the change of employers? Friday tomorrow .......Can't wait for the takeover
  9. Fri ... saw Bob Marley's old band The Wailers (pretty good old stylee reggae) followed by Paul Weller who was absolutely the dogs nuts. Best gig I've been to in a long time. Only down side they ran out of beer (but seeing as they only had Fosters maybe that wasn't such a bad thing!! and took ages to get a cab back home) Sat .... Pottered about in the garden drinking beer and then listened to The Saints match commentary, managed to avoid slitting my wrists at halftime and opened another beer instead!! Couldn't beleive the 2nd half turn around. Very happy chappy post match for the first time in ages. Evening made even better with Skatesmuffs last minute capitulation to Donkey Heskey of all people More beer, had to be careful my face didn't split in half, due to the size of my permanent grin .. Sun ... more pottering about in the garden, more beers consumed to cope with the beautiful 35c sunny afternoon heat. Made a superb Chicken Curry, Basmati Rice, Poppadums, Mint Raita and Paratha breads washed down with copious amounts of beer. Watched the Grand Prix and its incredible climax. The commentary was in Arabic so I didn't have a clue what had happened on that last corner and was trying to figure out why The Williams team were going barmy till I registered that it showed Hamilton in 5th and not 6th place. What the **** happened there ... but who cares, more beers were in order . Evening rounded off nicely watching Alonso's sour faced mug in the post race interviews .. ha hah what a ****. You'd have thought it was him and not Massa who'd just had gone thru the roller coaster of victory and defeat in a matter of seconds. Superb weekend, I'll give it a 9/10 in the hope that there are even better ones on the horizon
  10. You've got to feel just a tad sorry for Massa, the highs and lows he went thru in a matter of seconds from thinking he'd won the championship to finding out he hadn't ( play offs fight back and then defeat at Derby anyone ). But at least despite being obviously heart broken and shell shocked he was quite dignified in defeat, where as Alonso had a face on him that looked like it had been slapped with a wet kipper at the news Hamilton was now champion :supz:
  11. Could somebody please forward my phone number to Kylie ...
  12. I wish we were that good Gobern seems to be making a few in roads, but we are still as likely to score as me screwing Kylie when she is out here next month This system does not work and it is suicidal to keep perservering with it. Goal ... new boy Pearce puts us back in .... maybe:rolleyes:
  13. We've conceded 5 corners and haven't let a goal in yet ... so I guess that is something to be happy with Euell injured ? in pre match warm up so Cork in Mid Field and Lloyd James in FB. Don't think any of our attackers have touched the ball yet Doubling up to get my non 5 quids worth ... weather in Dubai today was a beautiful sunny 34c and last night Paul Weller was the best gig I've seen in a long while..... so come on Saints don't ruin my great weekend. Dave Armstrong says Parkin doesn't look like he could score a goal today and then promptly nearly wins a penalty .. luckily ref waves it away!! To be honest from the commentary it seems like a **** poor match so far.
  14. LOL .... I think you have been sampling the local grape produce Cope talking about old scores of 0-0 and a 2-1 victory ... what about the vintage days of scores like 5-5 and 8-2 My last post .. good night hope we can get a win. COYS
  15. Things are looking up ... Cov fail to score from a corner. ****ehawks ... Rudi ****s up a back pass header, luckily Wotton clears Eastwoods effort of the line. Phew Now a long throw in causes mayhem, but Cork saves the day. We really don't have the class to break Cov down, 0-0 best we can hope for at the moment  Lol at Euell not being involved much since a lively first 10 mins = knackered already 340 mins and counting since our last goal which was the ball hitting Surman on the head at Coventry job. Close call again, Eastwood misses a sitter.
  16. Jimmy Case reckons our formation is set up more for a don't lose rather than can win game, relying on break aways. Euell seems involved quite a lot, hearing Lallana mentioned a lot more than other recent games, also Surman involved in build ups. No doubt Cov will score with their 1st move into our half though Cork close with a header .. the most forward player from a break away, and he's playing centre half  No mention yet of how big the crowd is. Plenty of mentions of the fact that it is a cold frosty night, so FWIW Dubai is a low 30s balmy night COYS.
  17. Well he's in Dubai at the moment. Maybe he is taking the advantage of the fact that some of our beaches are covered in sewage to see what life would be like in Skatesmuff
  18. Was saving my last post for later, but a beautiful 34c, blue skies ... only the football ruining my day
  19. Just a sigh of resignation and a deep slurp of my beer .... another waste of a Saturday afternoon looms and my bitter tastes even more bitter Can't even get the enthusiasm to be annoyed, just depressed. Early doors I know, and in the past I'd have plenty of hope of a comeback against the likes of Swansea, but this really is how low we have fallen and unfortunately it looks like we are going to plummet to even lower depths. Hopefully Mrs EoA will have hidden all the razor blades, lengths of rope and assorted pills as instructed pre match each week  COYS you can beat these sheep ****ging taffs. LOL Rasiak has scored for Watford :smt043
  20. As touched on before .. where are the goals going to come from? We now have 3 Interbational Centre forwards shipped out on loan Rasiak, Saga and SJ, plus Dyer who IMHO should have been sold/sacked. Now we have McGoldrick he seems not to be a team player, doesn't have the experience to make telling runs or yet to develope the goal poachers knack above reserve team level leading the line, a Sheff U reserve, a Millwall reserve, a few kids of our own who have have barely played at reserve level let alone 1st team and a promising Czech youth International on loan who we don't use and oh yes of course BWP  It really is a vicious circle, we can't afford to pay our experienced players, but we are losing revenue hand over foot as fans won't pay top dollar to watch reserve / youth team players get humiliated at home by the likes of Watford and Blackpool  I don't think I've ever approached match days with such a lack of enthusiasm or hope. I am just going through the motions and it hurts. Last week I couldn't even generate enough motivation to crack open a 2nd beer, by half time I didn't even feel like drowning my sorrows.:-? This is a serious situation by I just can't be arsed any more (of course I'll be listening to the commentary with beer in hand, but if/when the inevitable tonking starts I'll just shrug as it hasn't come a s any real surprise. Now that is sad.
  21. + on the other fred about my wife works where? Am I missing something here, or am I just naturally thick As Phil has said, with the present financial climate, not much hope of new investment in us, or any other clubs from out here at the moment. However, with the crash in the exchange rate, it would cost less UAE dirhams to buy us The Dubai Crew .... how about a big ghey meet up at Goodfellas for the Brizzle City game ... why should we all suffer alone!!
  22. Lol at people looking towards Euell to be our saviour Admittedly NP got him playing well enough, but all this total football malarky is a different kettle of fish I've thought all along if anybody could fit into this system then it would have been Rudi, but somewhere along the lines it seems destined not to happen It would be very interesting to hear Rudi's version of events, and even a hint from the OS would be progress  As for tonights game, I really do fear what an in form BT and a wily old adversary in Gary Speed (who must be relishing the thought of every cross coming in so that he can add to his 100 goals with 25 different clubs against us ) will do to us.
  23. Enjoy yourselves lads, hope the team repay your dedication with a win Have a beer or 2 for me, I'll be there in spirit!!
  24. Time for a match saving weather report. Beautiful mid 30s sunny .... pity I've got a raging hangover from last night and could'nt be arsed to go out and enjoy it Still more pressure but no clear cut chances.
  25. We would be winning this game by a country mile if we got a goal every time Psycho says "I'll tell you what Will ..." You've got to love his boundless enthusiasm though. Apparently Liverpool are drawing 1-1 with Watford at Anfield Saints continue to create chances but still no end product. COYS
