Thanks that worked for me too....although logged on to hear the goal

I liked the body language of the strikers when the other ones scored...all seemed really pleased for each other, including Barney, who must feel he's not in the first XI

With hindsight yes... but it was when we scored he got scared, my guess is he wouldve reacted the same at any match- I just think he was too young. I wanted to make sure he got a buzz on his first game and wanted to come again- I thought he was ready, he wasnt. It was a judgement call based on me knowing my own son

Its interesting how close it is and how many people are saying Dickson is getting better. I suspect once he reaches his full potential, Dickson will win a similar poll. Harding has maybe reached his peak? Try again at the end of the season

Took my son at just turned 5 to Saints V Pompey last year- as he'd been asking to come for a while. I made a mistake with the match choice- a little too intense!! He wasnt bad, but freaked out at the noise for the goals and I think thats a common issue for the young ones- you could put them off for ages afterwards. Incidentally, he is finally, almost a year later expressing some interest to come again. He is also much more into football in general now- so maybe 6-7 is the perfect age

Good luck with your sons first match! I picked Saints V Pompey last year for MY 5 year old- big mistake.. Apart from the scoreline, he was petrified, even in the family enclosure

Our own angel, whos job is done and gone back to heaven. Lets not mess it up from here, or his work was for nothing.

I don't post on this forum much. I mainly read and am interested in the opinions and knowledge of others. I do find myself frustrated at the egos on here. People that yearn for some sort of acceptance or attention. The worst kind are people that pass on rumours that have no basis in fact or that don't come from any kind of reliable source. Its difficult, we all want to know whats going on. But I think the whole takeover frenzy and subsequent unfounded rumours (particularly aimed at NC) highlighted a big problem of credibility that needs to be addressed.

Cortese is as hard as nails. I can now see why he ran a bank so successfully

I don't think having to play numerous league derbies in a season is a good thing... at all. Opponents who might not normally be on your level, raise their game significantly. I remember Arsene Wenger once remark that it was harder for Arsenal to win the league than Man Utd because Arsenal had to face many more local derbies than they did.

Well Im back from the game... and I WAS THERE WHEN MORGAN SCORED!! Kelv- NOTHING to do except pull the ball out of the net. Semi- not as aggressive as I would like. His pace made up for a bad error in the first half. Seabourne- unconvincing. Tried to make up for it with a few fancy touches when we were 5-1 up. Fonte- sheer class. Harding- solid and supported lallana well on left. Morgan- finally! Deano- Dominant, MOM behind Lambert for me. Punch- loads of energy and no dodgy passes this time. Antonio- quiet, didnt really notice him first half, rightly subbed. Lallana- absolute quality tonight, they didnt know how to handle him and lovely goal. Lambert- two goals are CRUCIAL times has to give him MOM... won his usual 90% of headers- rovers players didnt even bother trying to win em after a while. subs- kept the energy levels high. What stood out for me though, was the pressure we put on them when they had the ball... we were everywhere, they didnt stand a chance. THat is what we need to do every away game. Gloss taken off the atmosphere when huddersfield won, Im worried that will give them a massive boost in the run in. But we are the best side in this league by a mile
