Exactly, she has been a great owner but is she really going to sell to a more "suitable" buyer if they will only pay 160m? No way is she personally going to lose millions of pounds for the sake of the club. I don't blame her I would do the same if it gave me extra millions in the bank.

you are right it is grim reading but not for the reason you are stating. It's one mans view of something (not sure where the stats even come into it). There is no fact involved it's all opinion much the same as most views on here. Doesn't change my perception or prove anyone right or wrong.... We will all have to wait until next season to see if Puel is the messiah or just clueless won't we?

No definitely not a laughing stock and I agree lots of teams would swap positions. We have 100% gone backwards though and even if we win the rest of our games we cannot match the points total we had under Poch and definitely no where near Koemans totals. We have spent more money on players and wages than at any point in our history. Should we ever compete with a Man U team which spends 200 million in one transfers window? Or a man city which has a team which cost a billion pounds to put together? We can't beat them over a sustained period, But I would however like to see us capable of bloodying the odd big boys nose.

K Apparently Puel had a go at him.... real face to face stuff. Bertrand tried to butt him but missed! Not Puels fault he did everything he could to set it up but he can't be held responsible when players miss a blatant opportunity.

How many of our players had played in Europe before? We had one champions league winner, at least three who had previously played in the champions league, two European champions, a number would have played in the EL with previous clubs and most were internationals. European experience wasn't an issue and even if it was, wasn't that why we brought in a manager with Euro experience?

There is a lot to be said for stability. If the club truly think he is the best man they could get for the job, why change? TBF if the club are keeping him (and no one here can influence that) then they have to back him this summer. I don't think he will be able to keep the best players but probably no manager would so it's musical chairs playing staff wise again. If, as is rumoured, some players don't want to play for him, they also have to go. perhaps the decision was already made when Fonte went..the club possibly backed Puel to the extent we got rid with no replacement. At least by keeping Puel, anyone sold can be deemed as "not a Puel type of player".

Looking at that it's quite sad just how few games a lot of those players actually played for us..eg Walcott and Chamberlain etc.

Whilst I get the policy..and that we get to see these players for a couple of years, but I can't help think that it will ultimately stop youngsters following the club.

He is a quality keeper and we are unlikely to get better. We need to get him back in form. I think he is off anyway this summer and We bought his replacement last summer (in the same way we bought Romeu to replace Wanyama in advance).. Did we pay a few million for McCarthy? That's not a sum we would pay for a reserve?

I am sure the current manager would argue that he had something to do with it? I wonder if the fans would swap their current manager for Puel?

Oo Errr ...they missed the bits about the flowing football, loads of chances and now we have Gabi back we will probably win the champions league with the genius that is Claude Puel?
