He definitely is a talent and I do agree with Puel that unless he gets starts he won't fulfil his potential. Shame half the team seem to have their heads in their new clubs..
-
Don't forget once we get Gabbiadini back we will probably end up top 6.
-
I agree but why then have we got a defectors thread?
-
Yes I would agree he needs time to build a squad and, if he gets it, he is very lucky because not many managers get that luxury these days. In my mind it does contradict previous policies which implied players were purchased with a view to the clubs needs not the manager needs which avoided being left with a squad an incoming manager didn't want?

He was a West Ham fan when he worked with us...why would it be different now?
-
No way are we going down now... But Man U toothless? Aren't they unbeaten in like 23 league games or something?
-
From his cv that seems about right. I have thought from his appointment that he would do alright. I have no doubt he will do OK. He has always done OK wherever he has been. Never outstanding but always OK. I think those thinking we have a world class manager are incorrect and those thinking we have a rubbish one are also incorrect. He is "OK", and for a club our size, It could be that's all we can hope for, if so he is the perfect fit for us.

The worlds a funny place now..people are so obsessed with the behaviour of others, they let it spoil their own enjoyment. Expecting others to create the atmosphere you desire is also just opting out, Too many people doing that iis why the atmosphere is sterile. Do what you want, sing and support the team and ignore them. You can only hear them moaning if you are not singing..and if you are singing..they may actually join in. On topic the strangest thing I have seen is the women filming a live on TV game on her I pad..so whe watched the whole game on a screen.... May as well stayed at home..but each to their own.. Oh and the "pretend saints fan" at the home Liverpool game in front of me.. Who joined in with the songs, talked about being a fan etc but clearly had the Liverpool crest as his screen saver when he held up his phone to film a Liverpool player taking a corner.
-
Lol we will have to agree to disagree..you like Clueless Puel and will look for any excuse, I think he is OK but only that (which might be as good as we can expect for a club our size etc etc)
-
I meant as they would change the manager but if the "punishment" is watching players like we saw on Saturday each week, I would put up with a few chants.
-
TBF not sure how that's relevant but I am gutted the Chinese are not taking over...
-
Lol no one is saying he is brilliant, there are loads better than Koeman...but we are saying he has got a better record than Puel... Not sure why the happy clappers have to have everyone either the best in the world or the worst with nothing in between... And also that they are the best whilst with us then ****e when they leave..how does that always happen?
-
I'd agree, he also wasn't in the game so was a wasted body TBF. Not sure what the Long sub was about...he always pretends to be injured and then carries on so why was he subbed?

We had our chance and threw it away.. The only hope we had was to get a group of players together who wanted to stay together who were good enough to push on. We chose a different route and are now a stepping stone club...the ultimate "shop window" for players looking to progress, so we can't have a hope that we will do that. Spurs though now have a team who will break into the next level. They are holding on to players who could earn more elsewhere due to the manager and the chance of winning something. That should have been us!
-
Yeah...not sure we will ever be in that competition!
-
Nope never called for Keomans head or Poch, not really calling for Puels head but I do think he is not a great manager who is more likely to take us down than forward. unlike those before him, including Adkins, I really wouldn't be bothered if he went. I think the happy clappers who are trying to make him out as the saviour of the world are probably the same ones who say a any player leaving is/was rubbish....
-
We played TWO more games in Europe than the year before.. Chelsea/Liverpool? Not sure what the argument is about them other than we keep strengthening Liverpool. Mane? Apparently he is the only player who has left a club...FFS he isn't Messi he left the same as all the others but one player leaving isn't the end of the world?
-
What flirt with relegatin then sack the manager, put on a six game winning run as a result and finish mid table?
-
Or perhaps when we have one we sell them to a team with more money? Fact is the teams with the biggest budgets dominate winning the trophies due to that money. Tottenham can't compete on wages with the big boys but are successfully holding on to players and have build a fantastic team as a result. A lot of that is down to Poch.
-
I think you could in a 4-2-3-1 type system. Both could float behind the lone striker,
-
It's funny how people can't see that...Keoman has had three years in the league and not finished outside the top 7. All by accident apparently!
-
So why can't we win anything then?
-
We have supporters who also have a go at players like Forster too....I bet they support the manager and feel it's ok to have a pop at our own players... I think Puel is alright..that's it..run of the mill, do an ok job, not make a fuss when we sell players, I can't see him building a team where players want to stay as we are heading on an upward journey (in fact a few appear like they may want to leave) and nothing I have seen so far indicates that he is the world class manager the happy clappers on here suggest he is?
-
Possibly, would Mane even fit in our current system?
-
Compare their turnover and budget to the big sides.
