Didnt realise there was an Ikea at Pride Park. I would have gone had I known. It was the most ludicrous own goal too. It's not as if someone blasted the ball at him and it went in.
-
No that would be ridiculous. I originally started the thread as I was interested if anyone else had similar problems. I can think of many more a thread about more trivial matters. If the thread didnt interest anyone, no one would reply and it will quickly fall down the list on the home page. Your additions to this thread have kept it up there. If you dont like it, dont open it.

Its put up so the tractor thing can come on in that corner of the ground I think.

Clearly it was more of an inconvenience than an inability to survive. My life was never in danger. If you're spending around £70 on tickets you deserve to be sat in the seats you chose. I was right to complain and now have 4 free tickets to show for it.
-
I actually meant 4 free tickets - 2 Adults and 2 Under 11's as per my original purchase for the Hull game.
-
You'll all be delighted to hear that the ticket office just rang and are offering me 2 free tickets to a Cat C game of my choice !!!

Have we ever had 3 players playing for England at once ??

I once said that Portsmouth fans aren't that bad a bunch. -

No mate. This is a thread about things you got wrong. -
Well it was actually a problem wasnt it. Block 21 is a different stand to Block 25 and is separated by a gate. You cant get to one from another. And some of my friends were in the other block which means I couldnt get socialise with them at half time. A particularly chose seats in the Chapel for that reason.

It's all well and good these small teams being up there with 3 or 4 games played, but we could be 1st or 2nd after next game with a third of the season played. If Everton win by 2 goals or more, we only need a draw to be 2nd.

I just went on the OS, went to Tickets -> Buy Tickets -> My Account and was able to buy some.

I arrived at SMS on Saturday with my Dad and two children with 4 x tickets for block 21 row B. When I got there, another family were in our seats. The stewards said there had been a mistake at the ticket office and the family sat there also had tickets for the same seats. We had to be moved across to block 25. Not only were we in seats we preferred not to be in (block 25 is behind the goal which is what we wanted), but at half time the gate gets put up in the corner of that part of the ground so we couldn't get across to the Chapel end to chat to some of our friends who were in that area. Not happy. Anyone else experience this.

You have to remember the level the Prem is at compared to Div one in 89/90. That was a great season though; Shearer, Rideout, MLT and Rod Wallace up front. Plenty of goals but let in plenty too.

Her pony tail was dangerously long. I definitely reckon women officials should wear a different outfit. Perhaps a black short skirt with an open polo shirt showing a bit of rack.

What if you win the FA cup (or come 2nd assuming a top five team wins it) ?? At what point do you enter the competition then?
-
Winning a cup every year would be pretty nice actually, and staying in the prem to boot. Works for me. and why do people think that if we'd fielded our full team tonight, that would have necessarily had a negative effect on our league form. The players are athletes FFS. They should be able to cope with playing Wed then Sat. Club went slightly down in my estimations tonight.

I remember in pre prem days when we used to pack in the Dell for a game at this same stage. Empty stadium, no atmosphere, why bother. Football is about the fans at the end of the day and days out at wembley is what its all about. Really p155ed off the way we approached and played this game. Adkins was the same - look at the game at Leeds last season. Feel like boycotting this Sat tbh.

Brighton deserved to win L1 ahead of us because of our bad start. Over the course of 46 games they were at it from the start but we werent. They would have won it by more had they not taken the foot off the pedal at the end. But the following season was a travesty. Reading had so many wins they didnt deserve. They played a certain way that was effective for that division whereas we were just class.

I went by train, got directed by the police to the Terrace pub round the corner from the station. It was a decent away pub with special away buses direct from there to the ground and then back.

Surely if you give someone your ST details and they get further tickets on your ST without your knowledge, they get posted to you.

On way home from game. Never forget the look everyone's faces after that. Not one fan didn't have their mouth wide open. Just the most bizarre thing I've seen at a football match.

I remember at college once this guy thought it would be funny to remove the D and the far right R from Draper and the S from Tools. He got sent home.
