What a difference last night. Proper ref, let’s the game flow, makes instant decisions and not all about him. of course there are contentious decisions, should have booked one of there’s for an foul on Mousa, but you are going to get them and would take them over VAR any day.

General view that he played alright last night? I wasn’t overly convinced for the first goal, just left standing. I think he was left flapping at the disallowed goal and there was a moment in the second half whereby he looked all over the place. of course, with more game time, and I imagine he’s here for a while now, he will get more match fit. I’m not his biggest fan and though Macca is not Dino Zoff, don’t think he’s worse than FF. seemed to me to be a desperate idea to change something for the sake of it, because everything isn’t working.

I don't understand this assumption that we have players that are bad enough that we are 'lucky' not to have been relegated. When you look at other similar clubs in the EPL, Burnley, West Ham, Palace, Brighton, Newcastle etc. we don't have worse players than those. All clubs outside of City, Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea are treading a fine line in this league. Clearly the likes of Leicester and Everton, and arguably Wolves are one step ahead of the rest with decent support from owners. The rest of us go by the grace of God and we hope the promoted teams come up and go straight back down. I don't blame the manager as a whole, but his day to day decisions leave me baffled and when we shipped out Vokins and Vallery that would have DEFINITELY been approved by him, they are not high earners and i doubt the players were insisting on it. Why would he have done that? I don't even blame the owner as a whole either, yeah, he's no good for us long term but he's hardly restricted much. We have still bought big money players like Ings and Taki's wages won't be cheap and he will want us in the top league to sell, it is not in his interests to provide no backing at all and get relegated. Basically, we are going through a shit run, really bad, one of the worst i can remember and the manager (and the players) has to take the can for that. We have probably done enough to see the season out and if i was running the gaff, i would see the season out with RH whilst keeping my eyes open for a 'possible' replacement in the summer if we finish on 35/36 points.

Don't have a problem with that, we deserve something from having to put up with our team. Took 14/1 at HT v Wolves for a Wolves win, cashed out at £105 so I could cheer on for an equaliser, not an educated decision. If I can get 100/1 on us going down, I'll stick a tenner on it, i do not want us to, but I wouldn't rule it out as impossible. Almost certainly not going to happen unless we literally lose all of our games bar one, as if eh? I got a few trains of thought on betting to go down. 1 - It's good value 2 - It will damped the blow 3 - I couldn't care less about The PL. 😂 you got a better memory than me. 89/90, my favourite season ever. First season I went to all games, home and away. The Liverpool result still tops it for me, ever. Great day at QPR, passed my test in the morning, got smashed and then got literally smashed that night. could have finished third but lost in north London last two games.. That cup Game at Spurs was fucking top. The Liverpool game was a damp squib, but met Graham Kelly and thought I was speaking to Graham Hiley 😂 loved the 424 season

That season Chris Nichols (bless him, genuinely nice guy, sad what’s happened to him now) tried to resign after we lost to Forest away in the cup (and we got battered on the Trent Bridge, though we got our own back later that night).

I was thinking about that before. But what happened the following season ? Wasn’t that another 19 game winless run. In fact I feel sure that’s the season you’re on about mate. That 89 team was superb, well at attacking anyway. Then the next season we had a good start and then collapsed before, like you say, a,late penalty against Newcastle, think it was Razor that scored. Then I think we beat Blackburn when Timmy saved a Shearer penalty. That was 90/91. Or am I wrong?

I do find it strange that a lot of people on here find that criticism equals abuse. Everyone has their opinion on Redmond and obviously all the other players and some opinions are stronger than others of course. But I find it funny that the words ‘abuse’ and ‘whipping boy’ are used a lot. I would class abuse as something more public and personal, in the fact of a direct Twitter message etc. And if someone fails to see Redmonds attributes then that doesn’t make him a whipping boy, it’s just someone else’s opinion. If you don’t like it, ignore or counter argue. Of course some will never be convinced of a particular players abilities and no matter what, will be over critical like yesterday. This is a forum of fickle football fans, doubt Redmond reads or even knows about it and if he did, would he care? So what’s the abuse?

That’s the idea maybe, you play badly and still pick up results. That’s not the sign of a bad team, it’s the sign of a good or resilient team. Fulham away, we were blunt? Two goals disallowed and a free kick that hit the bar and the follow up cruelly spun away from a tap in. Apart from a last minute header, Arsenal didn’t offer any chances to win, neither did Wolves away. And Liverpool, a freak result. You might as well call every game on ifs and buts, then we could be bottom or top.

We’re not lucky to have him FFS. 9 out of 10 managers would have been gone after a Leicester last season as the subsequent Everton results. Even more so with a dicking at OT and losing a club record six in a row. seriously, he’s lucky to be in a job, most wouldn’t be. im not advocating his dismissal but to say, “we’re lucky to have him....” you will have to explain that one.
