😂 slightly overrated as a player! heard it all now.

close, think it would have crept in the post or in off the post

Despite Walcott’s overall display, you can’t hammer him for the penalty. Pretty much on target into the corner and the keeper did really well. If he’d gone the other way then it would have been a class spot kick.

I have it on good authority that Ralph is now on the waiting list for Remedy Oaks Golf Club, he's only just joined. Wonder if he'll get to play there?

Pochettino and then Koeman

So adult tickets are going for £15, new customers only! Guess ST holders will be well impressed with that.

We had it back in march 19, haven't had it since. I don't take many precautions, shake peoples hands and touch everything etc. obviously do the basic hygiene stuff of course but generally just do what i used to do. Getting it twice is still fairly rare, i think the anti bodies are a lot stronger than people suggest. I hope after this winter that most people have had it and we can move on.

Think you could make a case for qualifying qualifiers. So, these sort of teams have to qualify for the a much smaller qualifying comp perhaps? Maybe make it 8 groups and top 2 go through. There are currently 60 teams qualifying with maybe 10 of the non league standard. 8 groups of 5 takes 20 of these teams out unless they qualify.

Always thought Prowse would be much better in a decent side

How’s he playing ?

These threads always end in disaster

I want to listen to the game whilst mowing the lawn. Too noisy for a radio, is there an app for radio commentary from Solent?

Went there and got season tickets.

Is never been like this before, so there is no defence really. Outsourced to a company incapable of doing what they were fundamentally contracted for. Why have they not done what they have done in previous years?
-
Sounds logical, I mean wtf are they doing all day?
-
I still have not got ours, can't get through on the phone, bit of a joke. Can i just go down there with some ID and collect?

This is a thread that really shouldn’t be.

And to link AQ with Iran is a fucking joke, Shia and Sunnis, working together, god, give me strength, surely even he knows that doesn’t happen.

Stopped reading when I saw the author. biggest war criminal around.

This guy knows stuff as he wrote a brilliant book on travelling through the country. One of the best books I have read.

Right. That’s what happened last time the taliban took over the country? I’d agree that I think this time they will try and integrate into the international community more and I don’t necessarily buy into them harbouring terrorism again, though there will be factors there for sure. I think they’ve learnt a lesson from before and clearly their agenda won’t be to ostracise the country again to the extent that the US start carpet bombing them. But they will want and have control and unfortunately they will still implement their laws and their prejudices.
-
You don’t really believe that do you?
-
That’s just simply not true. The school bully is not popular but he’s still in control. The Hazara and the tajiks for example definitely don’t want the Taliban and even many Pashto. The Afghan people would much prefer to return to local rule by tribal leaders in their own sect. Hard to believe but in the 70’s Kabul was known as the Paris of the East, and the country was a frequent stopping point on the hippie trail from London to Delhi. But even back then the place was a tribal minefield but it was much more regionalised and fairly self governed. As I said previously, the Taliban rose from the ashes of the US leaving the country to rot after the Russians were deposed, ironic really.

And there you have it. The US and UK and NATO want to implement democracy, just like Syria, just like Iraq and yet that region does not need democracy, it needs stable leadership like Saddam Hussien for example, didn’t tolerate AQ, sure was a cunt to a lot of people but did the west have to worry too much about Iraq, not really until the bible bashing loonies of Blair and Bush decided he had a load of hidden weapons of mass destruction. Stable government in Afghanistan is an impossible task, it’s a country full of different states that have their own codes and languages and the word democracy makes me laugh, because it works in the west ( well, sort of) we should make sure those commies in Vietnam or Korea abide by it and now in the Middle East and Central Asia. If you have visited that region you’d know, it just don’t work like that there and the west invading and ruling ain’t going to change that. Eventually, these states will sort themselves out, they will do it themselves and drag them themselves into the 21st century, but that it a fair while off.

2 the Taliban never, ever went away.
