Do Saints have the best players in the world w/o an international cap?
Noodles34 replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Why would you start a thread like this? I mean what kind of nobber would even consider the question - in the world! FFS -
As someone above alluded to, it so bugs me when people rave on and on about how good Gascoigne was. He was, sure, but show me a video of the best of MLT and the best of Gazza, reckon people would really see who was technically the better player. Always great to see the Kop and the fans at Ewood all (nearly all) applaud in the background, rarely seen. My biggest regret, that he didn't go and play for someone better and really prove to the rest of the world how good he was, it worked for Shearer.

Has anyone on here (adult) got into St Marys with a childs ticket.

He would, but it is part of the distraction process! -

If you are smart and there are two or three of you this is what you do: Send the two legit STH's in first, and just as the 'illegal' comes through the other two go to the steward and ask wgere the toilets are etc. thus distracting him to kook behind pointing the way, he then misses the orange light and bingo! Not that that I have employed this method, justs seems obvious. -
You just record it as that, you just cant claim the expense against tax (non tax deductible), technically you could also be had for a BIK (Benefit in Kind), depends if you can prove it is wholly and exclusively for biz purposes. So even if you want one ST through your co, you would be wise wise to buy two.

yeah, just rang the club. The only seats they have are box seats at £125 each, thought "thats not too bad.." but then she added that includes sweet FA, drinks on top, ok fair enough, but the best bit was that you had to buy food as well, but no hot food would be available, only sandwiches wnad wraps etc, WTF? A great way to entertain clients... with a cheese sandwich. They do hot food for the other boxes, so why not these ones. ****ing £125 for a seat FFS.
-
granted, been in it a few years ago and was in a box for the Swansea game, fine when someone else is footing the bill, but no choice on this one unfortunately.
-
I have to take a couple of customers to the Liverpool game, in hospitality! Certainly not paying for a box, loathed to pay £200 for the Gold Package (buffet meal FFS). Anyone know of the other options? What was the deal with that lounge with a cash bar and food available, is that still on? Anyone try it, any good? Do get a reduced rate if you are a STH? Would appreciate any feedback, FWIW would much rather be in me own seats in the Itchen North.

So what are the options in respect of this fall out? If we look at the evidence and the facts, surely we will see some of the picture, if not all; Matt was in the Pinnacle Group that wanted to buy the club out of administration: This group failed because? Did they have the money? There was that infamous story about that North London geezer that was heading the finance but lived with his mum and dad (almost as funny as the first statue - Cue picture please - just for the laughs). Despite the story, were they still going ahead, I mean if it wasn't for the Swiss (who had to wait for the exclusitivity period to finish I recall, and they were not happy about that), would Pinnacle have proceeded and Matt would have been chairman? If so, is he still peeved about that? So he always had a chip on his shoulder because he missed out? Or did this Micky Fialka story derive from the Swiss to destabilise Pinnacle? But we know (at least that what Matt said the other day) that Matt was introduced to NC etc. on the first game at Millwall. I remember Matt was covering it for Sky (got a SO as he walked round the pitch), so he was there anyway, not like he was invited. Can't blame NC for not remembering, all the new stuff and that and he gets introduced to someone he has never even heard of. WE do know that the swiss were keen to emphasisie that the club didn't need any freeloaders ie ex players rolling up for free tix, did Matt get upset about that? However, there is one bit of evidence that seems to stink the most and that is Benali's issues with the lease agreement and the infamous carpet. We know MLT and Franny are best buddies, and we know thta in leasing agreements all over the world that there are always problems. We know that NC is a finnicky bastard and know what he wants, so he isnt worried about telling Franny whats wrong with his house, Franny understandably doesn't like it and they fall out and Franny loses his job and I recall office space for his company (that i believe went bust anyway, Luca Homes). Clearly MLT is annoyed about this, because i think Matty is a decent bloke and doesn't appreciate people like NC who are decisive and ruthless (which is not neccessarily a bad thing). So my conclusion is that this is based on the Benali issue and Matt has got involved, it has then escalated and really Franny should have said to Matt at the start, stay out of it, this is my issue. So what will come out of it in a year or two is that will will find out that NC is a nasty person because he doesnt like a certain kind of carpet and doesn't honour the T&C's of a domestic lease. Case closed.

I know he does not like "He's gonna twitch in a minute....twitch in a minute"
-
Remember the Man Utd substitutions?
-
Well fair enough, but the game has moved on now, it's an entertainment industry in many ways, right to the board level, welcome to the 21st century
-
Good for you then, I am presuming you won't be gracing SMS until Cortese has gone then?
-
Probably not, but I guess NC had a certain criteria and no one in the summer fitted. I keep saying that aside form all the sentiment about what a great bloke Nigel is, this is football and this is how it is, if you don't like it, watch Rugby perhaps
-
He isn't expecting Europe this season, probably expected more than what we have so far, but he is expecting more in the future and that's why he has done what he has done today. Bad timing? Yeah, personally I would made the decision at the start or the end of this season, it's a big ****in gamble, and he might **** it up, but he is doing it for the right reasons.
-
He was the right choice for the job in hand, getting to the Premier League. Why are we looking for a new CB? Because Jos is okay in this league, but we all know that he is not going to really make it, and I think we all know that about Nigel too.
-
Avoid the question eh.
-
Seriously missing your point St Marco. My point is that he has achieved what he said he would do, as he was the man charged to do it by the man with the money. Don't think he ever said he would score the goals, but he bought (you think ML did anything but sign the cheque?) the man who could. So it's not his money, that's not really the point is it?

It's alright, he's not dead. -
Blimey, Avenue saint and Alpine both liking me in one day.
-
So it would not have been a failure if we were still in the third division? Yeah, not his money, but his plan, it's an achievement. Markus, God Bless Him just turned up with his scarf and camera, who did he trust with his money?
-
So is that you really want? Then what? Happy playing f-kin Doncaster and Dagebham? Do me a favour.

That ****** w and you know you would have been in Munich that night
