  1. Good reply Roger, you were almost credible, but alas, you revert to type!
  2. Its funny how at one time or another, just about every English player we have has had a serious shout for place (and one has made it, and that was really worthwhile, sure all the Saints fans felt so much pride seeing AL warm the bench), we could build a team for England. Davis in goal has been a shout, obviously we have the two full backs, no doubt at one time or another Aaron Martin has been mentioned, tbf I am struggling with another CB, then you have Cork, Puncheon, Lallana in midfield with Rickie and J Rod up front. Viva England, we are Saints, we are so ****ing great that all our players should be playing for England.
  3. Come back with a point. So Lambert should be in the England team because the likes of Gerrard and even Walcott will look up to him a talisman, heard it all now, LMFAO Jesus, this board is so full of nobbers.
  4. Yeah, that's how Germany looked at it, Lahm and Klose aside. Utter garbage eh, yeah, they're ****.
  5. well said, please expand if you are indeed capable, or have we seen your limit?
  6. what because Rickie Lambert isn't in it? Jesus, i really think that if Lambert is in the England squad going to Brazil then we might as well not bother going anyway. I think Lambert is great, I compare his game to Rooney but when are England going to wake up, appoint a progressive manager that can bring the young players through and have the bottle to disgard the dinosaurs that have frankly won f - all for this country. We should be picking J Rod over Lambert anyday! The likes of Jack Cork, Luke Shaw, Sterling, OXC, Walcott should be in the squad, not Rickie Lambert.
  7. he did, so a lot of clueless people on here who didnt even see it. I think Savage's assessment was fair, people go about pace - and thats what people go on about! So to suggest SRL has is ridiculous, all Savage was doing was pointing out that he has none, which is of course true. Didnt like the one on one assessment, you could take any player and find the same example, but overall, I think Savage was right when it he said it really comes down to the second season. Grant Holt was firing last year, this year he has been ****e.
  8. Playing midfield or right back, ability has limitations but reasonably fit, could last a whole match and can do sex for about 20 minutes (depending on company).
  9. even though Torres is clearly pants now, it makes me laugh when the op suggests he might come here! What is it with the people on here, did they not learn from the Michael Owen saga? We are still a small time club that no WC player is going to come to, end of.
  10. repeat that with loads of players, Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney, all ****e for England whilst world class for their clubs. They dont care to play for England.
  11. how often does this thread come up, every fukin 3 months or so, why? No one had mentioned that old turncoat dog Fiona Phillips yet either. One that people wont be aware of is Robert Mugabe, apparently got a liking for Saints went he went on a jolly with Mobutu, and they caught a game (Sainst v Liverpool - the channon goal one) on some dodgy African channel - True Story.
  12. One of the only times I have cheered a Chelsea goals was when he scored against the skates and the celebration afterwards was top quality, can still see it now. No matter what, he knew where he came from.
  13. Hope so, £50 at 14/1 at the start of the season, nearly went for WBA at 4/1, thought that was more likely but put off by the odds!
  14. I drove there once, pretty much straight up to the Thames and then headed east, the most direct route on a map. It took 3 hours, bloody nightmare! And that was not really anybtraffic hold ups, just a trudge through the suburbs. I would recommend parking at Osterley for about £3.50 ish and then changing onto the Jubilee Line. Yeah it's a haul on the tube, about an hour, but Soton to Osterley is only an hour max, so you save an hour and about 10 quid parking at the O2, though obviously you have to buy the travel cards, off peak is about 8 quid I think? Basically, don't drive!
  15. probably with a young and upcoming keeper in goal?
  16. do we get a free saints kit and match fee? Which pre match hotel will we be using? I am up for it as well, I am quite good actually, my Mrs actually calls me Messi!
  17. Cannot believe that they would sack McDermott for Adkins, imagine if it was the other way round. Both done great jobs but maybe found a bit wanting at this level, seems strange. Don't think there was anyone better qualified than McDermott to take Reading back up next year, except Adkins maybe? BUt then what are they going to do?
  18. Replying To my own post, how cool. But called it right! Just wanted to share that with you all. Thanks
  19. In fact why don't we just cut to the chase. Lets have a poll, does Guly cut it in the Prem or not, simple. Would stop the happy clappers screaming "he doesn't need to run" or "racist" every time someone dare criticise him.
  20. That's not true at all, two posters don't like Guly, do me a favour. But you haven't played your trump card yet have you Vectis? And we know if pushed, you will have to show it.
  21. yeah - its very easy at the moment to dismiss an opposing opinion (to mine) on Guly, because quite clearly he is **** and is now becoming one of the worst players we have ever had. Sorry, but it really annoys me when he is asked to come on and do a job for 10 F'kin minutes, which is basically keep the ball and track back to help the defence, he did neither, he could have been a liability, and most of all, WE DONT ACTUALLY NEED HIM ANYMORE! PS- if we need someone to stroll around in midfield doing nothing we can now use Gaston for that.
  22. seem to remember last year that we had a lot in the home ends, kicked off in a few places I recall.
  23. Guly On '84 Was mostly ineffectual following his arrival. From SkY Sports. I thought his defending on the Itchen side was criminal - Jesus he is on for 10 minutes, the least he could do is break sweat FFS, if that had cost us a goal then we could have really been in trouble. I know you will get the "you dont have to run at 100 mph to be a good footballer" happy clappers on now, but you feckin do when you are defending. And thats the problem with him really, i honestly think he doesnt give a toss (or he just thinks he is so uch better than what he is), he is not interested and i am just astounded that MP bought him on! Cue - Happy Clappers defence
  24. Yeah, never worked for Fergie did it?
  25. now on sale to 'eligible customers only', not me then. How many have we got? Where does one think the cut will be made, 1st tier of away games quota?
