Am I the only one worried that he has a habit of quiting when the going gets tough. If we don't start well he will walk when we get beaten by Stockport at the end of January.

Why would they want to do that? its not as though they are going to sell enough tickets that they are going to need those seats, I would imagine it will stay closed.

There are some fixtures missing from this list, anyone know the dates for the Johnstons paints trophy?

The difference is down to how the oppostion play agsinst us. JP played the same tactics home and away, his style of football was to play one up front wth midfiled getting forward to support, which works well on the counter attack. When we play away from home, and the oppostion play against us, this systems works, since we have a bit of space in which to play this style of football. However when we play at home, and the opposition stick 10 men behind the ball, we find it hard to break them down. What was really needed was different tactics at home, maybe playing 2 up front and taking the game to the opponents, but JP failed to realise this and stuck to his system which plainly was not working at SMS.
-
That about sums it up, the problem is that JP can't see that and won't change the formation at home, counter attacking football is great away from home, but when at home we need 2 strikers up front and to take the game to the opposition.

2-0 to the referee, before the 3rd which is the only goal that should hav stood. Having said that, we were not good enough, i don't recall van der sar having to make a save.

anyone stupid enough to pay £108 or £139.50 for a game that won't sell out and tickets available right up till kick off at face value? http://www.worldticketshop.com/tickets/southampton_tickets/31665_southampton-swansea

The Crowd were behind the team, because the team gave us some passion and commitment and something tangilbe to get behind. If we had started badly and gone a goal behind, I don't think the support would have been the same. It just goes to show, that if the team want our support, then prove you deserve it and we will chear you on.

Best goal seen live against saints at SMS/The Dell

Van Nistelroy for Manchester United 2003. not for the finish, but for the build-up play, Silvestre played a 50 yard diagonal crossfield ball from Left back onto Beckhams foot, who played in Gary Neville on the overlap, Nevile crossed for Van Nistelroy to head home. all this just seconds after I had said to the season ticket holder next to me, that the diference between us and United was vision and awareness, and that they played balls we wouldn't even think of. I couldn't help thinking that if it had been Wayne Bridge at left back, would he have even thought of playing that ball? -
If his loan deal was until 31st December, as seems the case, and we had a game at plymouth on boxing day, what the F**k was he doing on the M1 near Coventry a 3pm on Christmas day?

The only reason we havn't fired JP is because we can't afford to pay him off

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
Simon_UK replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
The Idea of everyone leaving at half time in protest works for me, that way we don't hurt the club fianancially as everyone buys a ticket and goes to the game as normal, support the team for first half, then everyone leave at half time leaving a few banners -
I don't neccesarilly believe the OS view on what happened, I wasn't there, but I guess Chorley merely tossed a few coins in the genral direction of Lowe, rather than hurled them at him. However, Rich Chorley is a prize C*nt and if he is banned from all SFC premised, that IMHO is a good thing.

What was the attendance? it seemed to me that an awful lot of stay away fans responded to the saints trust rallying call and came to support the team. after that performance how many of them are going to come back against coventry next tuesday?
