  1. Champions league here we come!
  2. McBurnie is a cont
  3. Nothing like the dreadful we have experienced recently. We are literally the worst team in the world on current form and we are one nil up, and have had a few half chances.
  4. Not the Phoenix tomorrow though!
  5. ...and advocated the stripped down squad
  6. We could offer Pep a "buy it now" deal?
  7. The only real threat to us is Fulham, while on current form they are better than us, they have a really tricky run in the next few games. They remind me of the season we went down from the prem, not that bad, just too many draws. They have 4 games in March, THFC (tonight), Liverpool away, Man City H, Leeds away. The risks for us are, obviously, we can't keep losing, but Fulham will soon come up against better teams that have no interest left in the season and they will probably pick up points against "on the beach" sides. With a 7 point lead, we could make it all academic with a couple of wins, so still 100% in our hands. But... potentially we could get little or nothing from our next three games, and if Fulham spring a surprise or two than it would be twitchy bum time. Massive game tonight against Spurs, if Spurs win that and we beat SUFC on the weekend then it's a 10 point margin and we will have a game in hand. All ifs and buts, but its going to be an interesting few days.
  8. You've hit on something, every time Saints play in future I'll watch a re run of Frasier, much better for the blood pressure and general sense of well being!
  9. I've no idea if he would have saved the first one. I just responding to the point Fraser didn't do anything wrong with the reality that he didn't have to do anything, and has had very little to do in the games he has played. My view, just my view is McCarthy isn't the problem, if he was it's unlikely the Frasier would be the answer. Don't get me wrong, I respect Frasier and want him to do well, I'm just sceptical he will, and for whatever reason he gives me the jitters. Maybe a hangover from his last spell.
  10. lost interest, no, if you said utterly demoralised you could forgive him, we've barely played a decent ball into the area since....... i can't remember.
  11. If your a young pretty boy you probably could, just so you know we really appreciate you literally taking one for the team!
  12. We don't know what he is like in the dressing room, he may already does that. The players may have had a gut full of the nutty tactics, team selections and unrealistic demands on their bodies. Maybe not, I don't have a clue what goes on behind the scenes.
  13. Just let in 1 goal, let in a disallowed goal, saved an offside goal out of how many shots, 1 legitimately on target? He's no better than he was previously, he just hasn't been tested in his recent appearances.
  14. Are you sure he wasn't taking up a position where he couldn't receive the ball where he would have to take some responsibility? Because he does that an awful lot, I can only assume his confidence is completely shot.
  15. With the unfortunate side effect of angriness and sulkybrattishness
  16. It might feel like that, but we shouldn’t go down. If we start next season with a fully fit squad we would be ok. Who knows, we may have an owner with some cash, we may sell Ings and spend the money well. It’s a terrible run, but it’s not terminal
  17. Thought JWP and Moussa gave it everything. Hard to criticise the front two, they had nothing to work with.
  18. you tell 'em!
  19. Stocked with abject mediocrity outside our best 12 or 13 bonafide, proven premier league players.
  20. I didn’t even know we signed Anthony Joshua, I agree we need to toughen up but I didn’t see that coming!
  21. .... as Kung fu Panda
  22. They don’t have big lumps, but they do have a lot of bigger far more athletic types, we’ve been physically small and lightweight for a long time. That’s one reason we struggled against teams like that, West Ham, Palace, Burnley... they just bully us. Against Chelsea I watched Redmond lose every foot race, and when he did get there he just bounced off the defender. We have no one who could win a race to a ball knocked through or down the channels, even if they did they’d struggle to hold it up while the plodders joined from midfield. We just need a big reset.
  23. You normally need a traditional centre forward for this to be effective, I’m a bit of a dinosaur and miss my man-crush Grazziano, we’ve had no one like that since. I think Ings alongside a big no 9 could cause havoc. In short wouldn’t be averse to it but we don’t have the personnel.
  24. Doesn't matter, because we are the record breakers, record breakers la la la la la (you have to be a certain age to get the reference...)
  25. I don't think it has been that fast, it's just become increasingly noticeable to the point now where he is pretty awful. I used to love watching his wing play with Tadic and Redmond (whatever happened to him?), they used to create a lot of good delivery or runs into the box. Something we just don't do anymore.
