  1. After a spare ticket for Saturday if anyone has one. Can meet in Southampton or in Watford.
  2. Why would you boo..? https://senioronboarding.leadershipacademy.nhs.uk/blog-dear-white-people-in-the-uk/ This utter bollocks has infiltrated most organisations in the UK and taking a knee is part of it. Anyone opposed to this sort of thinking is automatically branded a racist and it’s now well and truly found its way into our football clubs and leagues. The players are obviously not left leaning or Marxist, but the agenda pushing this stuff daily throughout our organisations and the media certainly is.
  3. When it comes to going out of their way to help the majority of their fans then Saints are so far behind the majority of other clubs it’s embarrassing. As you say, we would be the last club to even consider this.
  4. Have tried calling the club daily over the last few weeks to buy a season ticket on the payment plan. Not been able to get an answer once. After 3 emails, I got a response to be told they'd look into it, but nothing since. Went down to the ticket office in person this morning to buy a season ticket to be told they're now off sale and to try again in November - but you can still buy them online.. It's OK though, our warm-up kit at Everton scored loads of social media points.
  5. I can’t go to football, I can’t go to gigs, I can’t go to events, I can’t go abroad. I gave up a year and a half of my life on the premise that I was protecting the vulnerable, who have all been jabbed for a long long time. Life might be normal for those that like to potter around a garden centre or put some shelves up indoors. It was 3 weeks to flatten the curve. It was to save NHS capacity. It was to get the most vulnerable jabbed. It’s now to get everyone jabbed. Normal life is always just one further and final stage away.
  6. Those of you backing covid passports, masks, restrictions etc, when does this end? Covid zero isn’t achievable, and most people are vaccinated - when does it end? Do we go down the Australia route and bring restrictions back every time there’s a case? Surely life has to return back to normal at some point.
  7. How on earth did you survive before covid?
  8. The risk of covid adversely affecting someone is higher the higher the BMI of the person is. If Saints truly cared about their support they would do a BMI test on fans at the turnstile, turning away anyone that was overweight.
  9. No thank you. By that reckoning we should ban smoking completely and stop allowing people to drive as they can directly harm others too. You mention the risk of harming others, but they’re protected by the vaccine. If people feel unsafe they should get the jab themselves and take personal responsibility for the situations they put themselves in. See you all in the away end at Goodison.
  10. Won’t be setting foot in anywhere asking for proof of vaccination. It is a personal choice and the passport will create a two tier society. If you’ve had the jab then good on you, you’re well protected - crack on. Saints are perfectly happy to preach inclusivity but are seemingly about to exclude many younger fans from games, who have more chance of drowning month to month than being affected by the virus.
  11. A generic reply to MLG/those saying fuck off and support Pompey: You may think the club exists for us to play in the best league, sat on our arses wanking over the quality of opposition, but to many others that's not the case. I may be factually incorrect about the shareholder situation, but the club are a commercial entity that exist to profit. I don't like it, but understand it. However ticket revenue is such a small % of their income, yet they still hang fans upside down and shake them until their pockets are empty. There are many, many examples that show the blatant disregard that the club has for its core support. The free bar in the Kingsland changed to the Gasworks that no fucker will ever pay for. The constant playing along with whatever virtue signalling nonsense is flavour of the month (transvestite flags, tampons in toilets, taking the knee). A fans panel made up of social media celebrities that will lap up whatever the club tell them rather than lobbying for any real change. The ticket office taking reduced allocations at away games to save themselves a few pennies, with no real knowledge behind the decision making process. Selling corporate tickets to away fans in the Itchen North, with stewards doing nothing about celebrating away fans in there, instead turning their attention to ejecting/banning home fans that dare kick up a stink about it below them. £250k given to the club by Virgin Media to benefit away fans (most clubs put on free travel for their own fans etc), what do Saints do? Redecorate the away end for visiting fans at St Mary's! Pretty much every club doesn't give away fans 10% of the ground due to segregation, but what do SFC do, take tickets off Saints fans to ensure away fans do get their full 10%. Lots of clubs have come out to advocate for safe standing at football - not a peep from Saints. The Premier League is not the be all and end all of football. Virgins all over social media that only care about who the club are signing and for how much, fans online calling for a managers head after a few bad results, abusing our players after one bad performance, and fans in the ground holding up signs asking for opposition players shirts. Irregular kick off times in the premier league and not being able to plan an away day until much closer to the fixture, meaning increased travel costs and unsociable kick off times. Bland, soulless football grounds full of mute customers that want to take pictures, film and vlog everything that happens. Our fans fawning over the potential of Red Bull taking over the club for a bit more success, with no care for the history or tradition of the club. An entire football season of utter shit can be made worthwhile by one moment (Shane Long at Anfield, for example) - now those moments have been taken away from fans in order to ensure an armpit isn't offside. At a time when COVID has impacted peoples jobs, income, mental health and way of life, and fans are finally beginning to be allowed back in stadiums, Saints yet again fall so far wide of the mark. They have paid lip service to the greed of the european super league, but again their actions don't support their words.
  12. Hoping for relegation soon. Massive empty block of overpriced padded seats, an empty Gasworks bar, free tampons in toilets removed, ticket office idiots that take reduce allocations everywhere sacked, etc etc. Watch the club then suddenly realise the value of their supporters when they rely heavily on them to keep the club financially stable.
  13. They exist to line the owners’ pockets with Premier League money whilst showing contempt for supporters, sorry - customers, every step along the way.
  14. Saints can absolutely get fucked. A corporate entity designed to satisfy shareholders. Haven’t been a football club for a number of years.
  15. People are sick and tired of having how racist they are forced upon them from all angles 24/7. Good on those that booed. Hopefully 1000s more will be doing the same at the start of next season if they continue with it.
  16. Hope this is a wind up. If not I suggest you go buy some adult nappies and wrap yourself in cotton wool for the rest of your life you wet fart
  17. Don’t think we’re any better. Given half the chance most owners would do the same. Didn’t vote against pay per view early on in lockdown until we’d judged which way it was going, late to come out with our statement today. We’re all consumers and customers to Saints too. This could be a real chance to change the way the game is run. Get rid of VAR, proper rules on ownership, spread more money further down the pyramid, sort ticket pricing, safe standing etc. Instead we’ll just welcome those 6 back and get on with our sport that’s rapidly dying on its arse for match going fans already.
  18. Genuinely saddened by our pathetic support. One game off an FA Cup semi final at Wembley and we’re not arsed. My Dad talks about 76 more or less every time I see him. Yet virgins on here are more concerned about the club’s bank balance. Football’s dying for me and the attitude of most comments on here sums it up. This is a massive massive game and if I have one wish for my time on this planet it’s to see Saints win a major trophy. Fuck what league we’re in, I’ll take 20 years in League One just to have that one moment.
  19. JWP will never be close to being a Saints legend. I’ve seen him in person shouting Play Up Pompey, and his whole family are Skates. First sign of a big move and he’ll be off, like has happened 99% of the time to every half decent player we’ve had in history.
  20. First game, Dellhurst Park great escape in May 99. First game at The Dell, Real Sociedad pre season in 2000. I was apparently obsessed with the crowd and barely watched what was going on on the pitch. We were in the east upper for all games after that and I’d nag that I wanted to sit at the top of the Milton and look down on everyone else. In the weeks before demolition my old man took me down to the ground a few times with a packed lunch and we were allowed in to sit and have a run about in the stands. Always grateful I was taken there and I feel for anyone that missed out. My Dad still says a part of the club died for him when we moved.
  21. No. Shut up
  22. It’s all well and good everyone saying bin it now when a couple have gone against us, but last season at a couple of games most the ground were singing ‘VAR it’s one of our own’, and would be again once back in grounds no doubt if one goes our way. The game is being completely destroyed by this anal use of technology. The one thing that makes 100s of miles travelled, season after season watched and all the £ spent worthwhile are those moments of pure joy. Stokes at Wembley, Moran at Fratton, Long at Anfield. But I bet any money the next time one goes in our favour this thread and the moans will disappear. Just another nail in the football coffin and another set of fans that don’t really have any substance about them to oppose it properly.
  23. Have a look at how many people in this thread are fed up too. You can try dig one person out but arguably you’re the one not keeping up. Our fans are generally a bit wet so I’m glad to have opened this and seen most people are on the same page. These are the feelings of the majority if you step away from mainstream media.
  24. Why should clubs employ more non-white people? Do you think they are more deserving of these jobs than white people? If you believe the hiring process is unfair then by all means change the process. Employing people solely for the colour of their skin is positive discrimination and is by definition, racist. Black players are massively over represented in many other fields, and players in the Premier League are over represented too. I think clubs agreeing to a quota of white players would be another good step to eradicating racism in the country.
  25. Well done to Millwall, hopefully it will be the same in many other grounds up and down the country. If the players and clubs want to get involved in showing their beliefs by taking a knee, then the fans have just as much right to exercise their opinion on it too. We are one of the most liberal and welcoming societies there is and there is no 'systemic racism' in this country. People are sick and tired of having this forced on them at every single opportunity. Rainbow laces, BLM, transgender day of remembrance, etc etc. I will not be supporting an organisation that was born out of misled beliefs on black Americans being 'targeted' by the police, which then led to widespread violence, looting and the desecration of the Churchill statue here, and attempted burning of the Union Flag on the Cenotaph. If it continues, hopefully those at St Mary's for the Sheffield United game make their feelings known.
