  1. Surely a matter of time before rules are brought in to stop people "owning" part of multiple clubs. I can't stand this "City Football Group" thing. Wouldn't like us being part of a similar scheme either.
  2. Interestingly, in an interview, he said he'll be playing on the right, but might not be as black and white.
  3. He's only looked decent as a RWB in a back 5, he's not had one good game at RB. He's not anywhere good enough positionally to play there, but has had good games when he can go forward. He's ok for a few months, lets just hope that KWP doesn't get injured. More likely you'd see Diallo/Romeu in CM with JWP playing RB I would think.
  4. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8819343/Jack-Grealish-set-START-England-Dominic-Calvert-Lewin-Danny-Ings-new-look-attack.html Looks like he'll be starting alongside Grealish and DCL...will be nice to see some players who are actually in form, rather than Kane.
  5. Think he is still living in Winchester, and commutes to Glasgow, not sure what his arrangement is! Pops into the Winchester golf academy.
  6. Bottom of the top, or top of the bottom, 9-12th.
  7. Very positive indeed. The squad is stronger, we've got some real expensive shite off the wage bill, and brought in Walcott, KWP, Salisu and Diallo in for a total of about £35m. It puts the club in a way healthier position, and should be in a position next summer to start investing again, once we're properly rid of Hoedt, Lemina, Boufal, Elyounoussi and Carrillo.
  8. Walcott’s done, will be announced very shortly supposedly. Nothing else.
  9. Was quite a few rumours of him going to the US, would suit him.
  10. He’s not very good. Isn’t a DM, isn’t a #10, isn’t a wide player. Ducks out of tackles, and doesn’t offer much. He’s done.
  11. He’s failed for years. Was crap at Bournemouth and didn’t even get in their side, couldn’t get in a dreadful West Ham side, and Arsenal didn’t want him, and he’s always injured
  12. No. Not at all. He’s not costing us much at all. And does fit our system. Also has the sentimental element.
  13. Surely no chance of Wilshere, the guy is a waste of space, wouldn’t fit our system, and would cost a shit load of money, no thankyou.
  14. Yeah, bit weird this other transfer window not closing for a few weeks. Hopefully we’ll see one more in, but not fussed really. Already very happy with this window, wanted a CB, CM and a RB, got those three days plus a squad replacement for Boufal.
  15. Option...ffs
  16. Wonder if there is an alternate full back we're looking at as another option, obviously been linked with Yedlin today.
  17. Tbf, pretty much only from you...
  18. https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2020-10-05/announcement-christoph-klarer-transfer-southampton-fortuna-dusseldorf Klarer joined Fortuna Dusseldorf on a permanent deal...always thought he was earmarked for the future. Clearly not.
  19. TBF, he was a last min option
  20. Wouldn't blame him going to Barcelona as a kid, however I hope he stays to develop his career here. Could be a really good player for us in a few years, but also could bring us in a load of money too if he gets into the first team.
  21. Dont think we need him.
  22. Don’t think that matters as we aren’t close to using all the squad spaces up...given the squad is so small. He’s an improvement on the current players, so not sure what there is to moan about tbh.
  23. Is it replacing with deadwood if you get a relatively cheap one year loan? It will cost us roughly £2m in total for an ex international, in a position we need depth. it either works and we look to buy him next summer, or it doesn’t and it costs us relatively f*ck all
  24. "Another"?? The only players we have in the squad over 30 are: McCarthy, Forster, Bertrand and Long We haven't really had any alternate options off the bench, hence why Smallbone and Tella have got minutes, despite being nowhere near good enough yet.
  25. https://theathletic.com/news/southampton-transfer-news-theo-walcott-everton/h4LaN2tO2lPz Looks like it's happening, 50% of his wages which I am guessing would cost us ca £50-60K a week.. Think it's a good bit of business that will give us experience, squad depth and versatility in the "10" positions and a different option up front.
