Very positive indeed. The squad is stronger, we've got some real expensive shite off the wage bill, and brought in Walcott, KWP, Salisu and Diallo in for a total of about £35m. It puts the club in a way healthier position, and should be in a position next summer to start investing again, once we're properly rid of Hoedt, Lemina, Boufal, Elyounoussi and Carrillo.

No. Not at all. He’s not costing us much at all. And does fit our system. Also has the sentimental element.

Yeah, bit weird this other transfer window not closing for a few weeks. Hopefully we’ll see one more in, but not fussed really. Already very happy with this window, wanted a CB, CM and a RB, got those three days plus a squad replacement for Boufal.

Don’t think that matters as we aren’t close to using all the squad spaces up...given the squad is so small. He’s an improvement on the current players, so not sure what there is to moan about tbh.

Is it replacing with deadwood if you get a relatively cheap one year loan? It will cost us roughly £2m in total for an ex international, in a position we need depth. it either works and we look to buy him next summer, or it doesn’t and it costs us relatively f*ck all

"Another"?? The only players we have in the squad over 30 are: McCarthy, Forster, Bertrand and Long We haven't really had any alternate options off the bench, hence why Smallbone and Tella have got minutes, despite being nowhere near good enough yet.

Think it's a good bit of business that will give us experience, squad depth and versatility in the "10" positions and a different option up front.

In fairness, playing in our midfield is incredibly difficult as we only play 2 in there, he can keep it a lot more simple and just sit in one place, it's easier, there was never any doubt he was a class player.

I'd absolutely take Walcott. Offers something we do not have, in raw pace. Can play either through the middle or either wing, and makes the squad stronger. I hope he joins.

He’s clearly a quality player, and was for us. He’s also a very good fit for spurs. But we’ve both moved on. Let’s hope Diallo can push the current two, and replace one of them.

Villa excellent or Liverpool atrocious? Villa 100% record. Could be a really interesting season at the top of the premier league, let’s hope so.
