  1. Great stuff, they did a great job this season with Everton, looking forward to see what they can do for next season.
  2. My gut feeling is that you’re wrong, but I believe each personal case is different I’d expect he’ll be first choice when we flog Vestergaard this summer for £25m, No way where we can continue with stephens at the back,
  3. It’s exactly what it is. Arrogant.
  4. Good to hear him actually speak. Doesnt seem particularly happy in that video, certainly not at the start when asked about how hes settling in....!
  5. Ah, probably not the worst of sources!
  6. Agree, but they are a bigger club than us, and spend money left right and centre, even if they are a mess of a club. Can't see it happening mind.
  7. You say that, but City and Everton are currently playing without a striker, and I think Ings is better than Abraham, Lacazette, DCL, Jesus. He wouldn't be first choice at Man Utd, Spurs or Liverpool, but I could see him being first choice at Chelsea, (depending on what they decide to do with Werner), Arsenal or City. He'd be first choice at Everton or Wolves, West Ham too. They're the only ones that are realistically going to have money to pay for him.
  8. Be mainly reserves I’d think though.
  9. Although I do agree, if you look at it from the other way, we're a decent side this season. and we play: Leicester (A) - who haven't been great at home Leeds (A) - leak goals and promoted side Arsenal (H) - we were the better side at their place, and they're well beatable Villa (H) - Good side this year, but already beaten them away Man Utd (A) - Difficult game Newcastle (A) - they're pretty woeful this season, and don't score Wolves (A) - Poor since Jiminez has been out You can make a case for us to win all of the above games, apart from maybe Utd away. If we can get 7-10 points in the next 4 games, we're still set up nicely for a free hit up at Man Utd, and then two very winnable away games
  10. That’s my hope too. Normally we sell before we buy too, so there must be some money somewhere. Hopefully it’s more to do with the accounting period more than anything else. Loan is a worry though.
  11. Without knowing Long’s contract, his renewal seems even more odd now. Regarding the shirt sponsor mentioned above, if they didn’t pay, that doesn’t mean the revenue wouldn’t have been recognised. Potentially. Only £3m seemed to relate to match day income, which in the grand scheme of things, isn’t massive.
  12. Gut feeling say yes. I’d love to have an owner who might stick his hand in his pocket.
  13. Think it’s highly likely that Ings will be off in the summer if he doesn’t sign a new contract, might get £30/40m for him this summer. Vestergaard now has a sell on value, might get nominal fees for Hoedt, Lemina and Elyounoussi, but probably more important for the club to get them off the wage bill.
  14. Bit of a mess that, all the KPIs are pretty demoralising, but not unexpected given the current situation. Not expecting any money to be spent this month. Club definitely needs investment. Whether that’s through selling players or externally...
  15. Would be an odd signing, unless its a cheap 6 month deal for depth, and Smallbone and Jankewitz will go on loan, but I'd be surprised... Odd rumour for them to make up though, and even more odd he suddenly fancies following Saints on Instragram, unless he's doing it to get attention...
  16. TBF, I emailed them, and they replied the next day. And very helpful.
  17. Not going to make it here, nowhere near good enough.
  18. Yes, should be.
  19. I’ve heard otherwise, but no idea whether it’s just a thought or something more black and white than that. Would not surprise to see a break in the season shortly and the Euros cancelled.
  20. Pretty sure the Euros won’t happen
  21. Same price we paid for him I believe. Would be very very strange if he disappeared without playing. I'm expecting him to play, and be first choice for us at some point, but the longer this goes on the more worrying it is.
  22. Think I'd try and rest as many of the mainstays as possible, give them a week off in prep for the next league game. Valery at RB worries me, but KWP must be knackered. Ideally give Theo a rest too, if Redmond is fit, but thin he's still injured. Would like to see Tella and N'Lundulu given starts. Should still have too much for them. Forster; Valery Stephens Salisu Vokins; Diallo Smallbone; Tella Walcott N'Lundulu Long
  23. In fairness, Werner played the majority off the left for Leipzig off a bigger man.
  24. Looked much more comfortable last night further forward. Doesnt seem to sprint though, although I thought he came on and did well last night, there was one moment they broke, and he just jogged back, can't imagine Ralph being impressed with that.
