  1. If it's any other club, £60-100m, If it's Saints, £30m Look at Rice - valued at £100m by Moyes. We should be saying the same.
  2. Yup they’ve been very impressive this season. Were quietly going about their business at the start of the season despite a tough fixture list, and just keep winning the games they “should” win. The dildo brothers promised “next level” football when they moved to the Soulless Bowl, and it looks like they’ll get that. Would be a disappointment for them to not qualify for Europe now.
  3. Very odd game so far. Leeds could have had 3 or 4 already, West Ham look like they’re going to score from every set piece. Kalvin Phillips looks like a player just back from injury, very rusty
  4. Based on 2020 form, I'd want to see the club do whatever they can to keep him, and maybe even leave him to the end of next season to leave on a free. But given his form since that Villa away game, if we can get £30m for him, feels like we'd be silly not to take it with 1 year left.
  5. If City have any sense, they'll just go low and to Forsters right hand side. He's always struggled to save the ball there.
  6. I think that's what we are doing. Saved money on his wages for 2 years, and bring in £7m for him. Think Fulham also paid a £2m loan fee so it's more like £9m. Assuming his wages have been paid for the last 2 seasons, that's just over £7m at £70K a week. Also, his "book" value in the accounts will show as £4.5m so allows the club to recognise a profit on the sale of £2.5m. Not ideal by any means, but given the situation, it's not awful. Always laugh to myself when he has 1 of his 9/10 matches, as you know it's not going to be consistent. Surprised he's played that many games tbh
  7. Based on what? Tella, yes promising, but hasn’t really done anything in any games he’s played in. I hope he can offer something in behind today.
  8. Take Tella out for one of Walcott, Redmond, Djenepo or Adams and I’d agree with you.
  9. I’m expecting us to win despite our recent form. We’re playing the worst team in the league and they have a depleted squad. If we have Diallo and KWP, Ralph and the players have no excuses. The players have clearly not given up, because the work rate is there, but we need to make sure we don’t concede early. If we can get ahead, it’ll give the players a huge amount of confidence and I think we’ll grind out a win. COYS
  10. No, because if he was I don't think he'd be playing on the left. He's there to cut inside and shoot or run at defences on the edge of the box. Or tuck in and counter.
  11. We cant afford to keep Lemina / Elyounoussi. Id guess the majroity of their wages are being paid plus a loan fee. We can't afford to have someone like Lemina sat playing 2/3 games a season picking up £80K a week.

    Just the ethnic minority...
  13. In fairness, it's never a lack of effort from us. Even against Everton we were trying hard to make things happen. It just wasn't through various reasons.

    Che Adams

Deary me. Granted he's not as much of a goal threat as we hoped he would be, but he clearly offers something, and we're a better side when he is in it IMO. He can hold the ball up, which no-one else really can do, and bring others into play. Would I like us to have an upgrade? Absolutely yes Can we afford to buy someone who is way better than him at what he does? Unlikely. Is he good enough to play for Saints? Yes
  15. Yup - this is how I see it.
  16. Next you'll be saying it's a "must win" game, despite being 7 points above the relegation zone.
  17. Forster; KWP Bednarek Vestergaard Bertrand; JWP Diallo; Armstrong Ings Adams Minamino Minamino a funny one as he’s scored 2 great goals but offered little else, but given we can’t score atm, o think he has to be in.
  18. ------------------Macca-------------------- Bednarek - Vestergaard - Salisu - Bertrand -------------Jankewitz - JWP-------------- Armstrong---------------------------Djenepo -------------Ings----Adams--------------- Then you have Forster, Stephens, Ramsay, Redmond, Tella on the bench....
  19. If we could have afforded to keep Reed then maybe we would have, and still been able to buy KWP and Diallo, but I get he also was pushing to go and play, he's not a kid anymore, and to stick about as 4th choice would not be a good career move for him lets be honest. It's just unfortunate that Smallbone is out for the season, and Romeu for 3 months, Diallo has missed a huge amount of games too. The club also had eyes on Jankewitz as 5th choice CM, so you can't blame the club for letting Reed go. He's just having a good season at Fulham, so question marks are inevitable. But it was irrelevant really, as we needed the money cos we're skint.
  20. Im not sure where this myth has come from that Jack Stephens is good on the ball. He’s dreadful on the ball, and constantly gives the ball away. He’s just not good enough for the premier league
  21. Absolutely ridiculous that we're even in any kind of danger. Given we had 29 points at the start of January, we should already be safe. But if anyone can make a mess of this position then it's us. I still think it's incredibly unlikely we'll go down, but the pressure is now on and confidence is very low. We play Sheff Utd and WBA away, and play Brighton, Burnley, Fulham, and Palace at home. Would be bonkers if we didn't manage to get 7/8 points from that lot. But given we couldn't score against a 9 man Newcastle, anything can happen with us.
  22. From memory, Think we started with Davis JWP and Reed as the middle 3, Reeds debut and he was sensational. Was also a few other kids on the pitch at the end, one who was really small
  23. Definitely an odd team, as they do a lot of things right, but just don't have the firepower to get them ahead when they're dominant...(remind you of anyone?) We've all seen over the last few years, how we've struggled to break teams down, we have a load of the ball then get suckerpunched with a late goal.
  24. High value, might be able to get £30-40M for him, highest his stock has been since he's been at the club, and if he's not going to sign a new contract, it's probably a good time to move him on. We also have Bednarek / Salisu who could form a partnership for years to come. I'm not saying it's what I want us to do, but It wouldn't surprise me, given the lack of saleable assets in the squad, and the fact we have an owner that has no money.
  25. My gut feeling is, they'll all play a part this season, and then Vestergaard will probably be sold in the summer. Had a great season this year, and his contract expires summer '23. Bednarek & Salisu the future first choice pairing, until in a few seasons we sell Salisu and bring in someone else. Stephens still playing the odd game when we get injuries, comes in, has a couple of good games, and then makes howler after howler as per his whole career.
