I’m happy having Romeu and Adams in there. Let’s be honest, we’re not aiming for European football because we just cannot compete financially.

Another piss poor performance from him today. Worries me if we’re wanting to get him back in the squad next season. Just does not affect the game. Armstrong Tella and Walcott plus 2 other new signings would be nice…such a poor position for us.

He wanted to go and play, and we were offered a load of money for him based on his quality. Personally I didn’t see him making a regular prem defender because he’s so slow, but he’s come on a lot at Villa. Fair play to him. Though I’m not sure he’d look as good in our leaky defence!

He’s not a very good defender but he is quite important to how we play when we have the ball. But that causes us a problem when we need him to defend. There has to be a change when this defence has let in so many goals for a good few years now.

Been linked with Danjuma recently too. Wonder if there is a deal to be done there. Think Brooks will be out of our price range

Would have thought, given the first game the fans were back, and the more likely of the 2 remaining games we'd win, he should have started Ings/Adams. Why not just bring Ings off for Tella / Walcott at HT if he can only play 45 mins? Just an odd time to experiment IMO. Can experiment on Sunday if he wants. Sounds like he was then forced to change Adams as he got injured.

Last time I went to Burnley away , I walked into a pub, and the first bloke I saw, had a swastika symbol tattooed on his neck. Not sure that’s a great base tbh.

Heard we’re paying him what we’ve paid him all season, £45k / week, not a small amount of money, but also not “expensive” for a player that comes with no transfer fee. Clearly a good person to have around the place, but if he’s starting most weeks, then that’s a concern, feels like we need someone new on the left, with Armstrong on the right.

Just me, or is Phillips nowhere near as good as some people make him out to be? Was run ragged by JWP and Armstrong in that first half, and got hauled off after getting booked. Is he any better than just an average premier league midfielder, or should he be starting for England? I can’t see it…

Neither can Ings without Adams. We were worse with Ings than Adams.

Yeah, absolutely, even if he could only play half the game, should have played the best side, and changed it at HT or after 60 mins if he was done. Very frustrating

Horrible place for us, and expect it to be even harder this year. Antonio will turn into Ronaldo for the day, and bully our defence as per normal. I’d probably stick Forster back in and maybe swap Bednarek in for Stephens. Get Romeu in if fit. Hopefully we can get the front two on the pitch together for most of the game. Adams going off seemed the be the turning point unfortunately. We always fall to bits when he isn’t on the pitch as the ball keeps coming back and we never progress up the pitch. Need so much more from all of those contending to play in the “10” positions. None of them are playing well enough to play every week atm. Tella just seemed to want to run into their players in the second half. Really frustrating result, after a very promising first half. Thought it was odd not to start Adams and Ings together up front and then look to take them off if they’re not capable of 90 mins.

What a shame, the return of the fans to the ground, is being overshadowed by "fans" wanting to boo players who want racial equality. Anyway, would like to see Romeu on the bench, and Armstrong and JWP to continue. Bednarek on the bench too, the other 3 deserve to start again IMO.

Would certainly explain SKD's views on Adams, Theo, Walcott, Bertrand....etc.

He also suffered a bad injury a few years ago, which scuppered his development somewhat. N'Lundulu is also 22, Obafemi is still only 20. Personally think he's one worth persevering with for a few years yet if he can get his application right.
