  1. Be interesting to see how England play it. The easiest route is probably to finish third in the group!
  2. Think if he comes to the Premier League, Sabitzer will end up at Spurs / Arsenal. Quality player.
  3. Big shame as I really thought he’d be decent. Had a bit of De Gea about him. Shocking business though given we already had 2 keepers. That punt didn’t come off.
  4. I'd like to see us signing a few on loan where we have the option of signing next summer...these are all on the periphery of the "big 6" squads...not saying they're all signable or we'd want them, but sure some of them could do a job for us and would fit. Abraham Hudson Odoi Gilmour Loftus Cheek Barkley Batshuiyi Guehi Romero Tuanzebe Phil Jones Brandon Williams Dan James Van De Beek Amad Diallo Reiss Nelson Nketiah Martinelli Neco Williams Tsimikas Rhys Williams Curtis Jones Shaqiri Origi Nmecha Ake Liam Delap Tanganga Winks Dier Alli
  5. Here's mine: Winners: France Runners Up: Spain Scotland get knocked out at: Last 16 Wales get knocked out at: Group Stage England get knocked out at: Last 16 Dark Horse (Furthest a team gets excluding England, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal): Turkey Top Goalscorer: Lukaku UEFA Best Player: Mbappe UEFA Best Young Player: Ferran Torres
  6. They're meant to be doing a bit of a refresh this summer, they're well aware it's looking tired. Was mentioned at fans forum.
  7. To lighten the mood a bit, created this thread for all things Euro2020 (not just Saints @ Euro 2020) Let have some predictions... Winners: Runners Up: Scotland get knocked out at: Wales get knocked out at: England get knocked out at: Dark Horse (Furthest a team gets excluding England, Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal): Top Goalscorer: UEFA Best Player: UEFA Best Young Player:
  8. He’s still so young, I wouldn’t be adverse to him signing an extension and going out on loan for the season. He’s got something, but needs to play most weeks IMO.
  9. Will be interesting to see what the market does over the next months, but the figures being bounced about are still ridiculous. Kane - £150m Konate - £35m Buendia - £40m There is definitely some bargains to be had as some clubs will be in the same boat as us, need to offload to bring some in, but still think you’re going to see some stupidly large deals
  10. I think it says to me that it increases the chance of Prowsey wanting to leave. He doesn't really need a rest and he deserves to be there based on what he offers.
  11. Pickford, Walker, Stones, Rice, Mount, Kane are shoe ins to play every game I think (form depending) Then you have either Shaw or Chilwell at LB, the other CB which until Maguire is fit could be anyone. all the options aren't great One of Henderson, Phillips or Bellingham to partner Rice, and then 1 of Grealish/Foden, and 1 of Sancho/Sterling/Rashford for a bit of pace I'd probably go with the following for Croatia game Pickford; Walker Stones White Shaw; Rice Bellingham; Grealish Mount Rashford; Kane But tough decision whether he goes Grealish or Foden. Could see Mount being dropped and play both of these, but can't see that atm unless Mount has a poor first game or 2. Mings is shit, and Coady doesn't play in a 2.
  12. Not sure why...can't see him getting a chance for England.
  13. This article sums it up for me really... https://www.football365.com/news/marxism-booing-knee-england-racism-john-nicholson Marxism? Booing the knee is about just one ism
  14. Not saying he’s a £60m player, but he’s worth more than that to us, in his prime, and selling to a rival…would be daft to sell for anything other than stupid money IMO.
  15. Selling to another premier league side, minimum of £60m, and even that would be on the low side given how important he is to us. £80m probably ok and would allow us to invest back into the team.
  16. Think I read that because they were injured before the 26 man squad was named, they can’t be replaced. Only newly injured playersi think
  17. Yup, did the same. Club isn’t allowing you to pay for more atm
  18. Josh King left Everton…(sure I’m with the half the rest of the league saying HCDAJFU!)
  19. Baffles me why Zaha signed that contract a few years ago, and then has wanted to leave every summer since. Also there needs to be a buyer for him to leave…who would buy him?
  20. Despite Lingard having a decent few months, there is little point in taking him given we have Sterling, Rashford, Grealish, Mount, Foden, Sancho and Saka already all competing for 3 spots. Given the lack of proper midfielders, and he replaces TAA’s set piece talents, it makes sense for it to be Prowsey. Does anyone know when we should find out who is called up to replace him?
  21. The fact he hasn't got any money...
  22. He also only invested in the first place for the country's benefit, so really, he should never have been allowed to buy the club.
  23. I really hope we don't sign Minamino, as I don't believe he is any better than Armstrong, Redmond, Djenepo, Tella or Walcott. If we signed Minamino, I'd still want us to sign a first choice left wide player.
  24. Thing is, I completely agree with you, and they've always paid pretty large wages, i.e. they were paying Hernandez £150kpw a few seasons ago, but when the accounts come out, there is never much difference which doesn't make sense to me. Either they pay some players a lot, and then offset it by paying their lesser players very little, and we overpay our average players so they all earn about the same, or their squad is smaller than ours which I'm pretty sure it isn't. Maybe we just pay more than we think we do? BTW Minamino on £75k is criminal
  25. Why would we play a RB at LB when we have 3 left backs in the squad? Why play a RB at RM or CM when we have better players in those positions available? Whole thing is very odd to me
