We've been less secretive over the last few years, I get your point under the Cortese era... Compare it to last year, and we plastering day by day accounts of pre season, games etc.

Yup - exactly this, however this also drives certain business decisions, depending on FFP and profit (loss) over a certain period. I remember seeing an article about how the Pjanic / Artur swap deal was done in a way that meant both Barcelona and Juventus could show a profit on sale of acquisition. Kind of irrelevant for us with Lemina due to the "small" figures involved.

Why do we think the club are so secretive about pre-season? Pretty much every other club has had friendlies and posted teams / highlights etc on social media, and we've seen about 10 photos...don't get it. Clearly not to do with Redmond, as everyone has worked that one out anyway...

Feels like a potential bullet dodged, certainly be interesting to see how he gets on over the next few seasons. Can see him being used to grow the brand in the US but not actually playing for Juve much...wouldn't be surprised to see him out on loan in a few years time.

I just don't think he's that great, plus Southgate clearly wants pace in those positions, and therefore prefers Rashford, Sancho, Sterling, Greenwood.

Ancelotti isn't there to build something though is he, he's there to get the club moving forward and competing with trophies now...Not sure they'll get anywhere though without a 20+ goal a season striker.

Expecting Ings and JWP to be called up, and possibly Bertrand given he's been decent, and Shaw and Chilwell are both injured. Also expecting quite a few playes from the big clubs to get picked and then pull out due to "injury".

Surely the main benefit to renew this year, is to give them the possibility of going to a few games this season? I can't see anyone who isn't a STH getting to go to a game this season, unless they lift the restrictions ?

So nothing from the club today. Either don’t want to show the sponsors logo, or a lack of pre season going on atm, very odd the whole thing IMO
