Exactly, the high wage bill is surely driven by the amount of staff turnover we've had since coming into the prem, and therefore the players all coming in on very decent wages. Theoretically, the youth players such as Targett, Stephens, Sims, Reed, JWP (to an extent), Gallagher & McQueen should mean we have quite a few players who are on lower contracts.

But come on, we've got 5/6 years of Prem TV money behind us, we should have more than enough money to pay the wages. And, anyway, weren't we told that we are a sustainable business model these days? Plus we have bigger attendances / brand etc. We shouldn't be being outspent by the likes of Huddersfield & Bompey...

There is no excuse for not spending ca £50m plus anything we bring in. The biggest sign that the club has f*cked up will be if they say we have no money. The money in this league is largely ridiculous, and if we have to sell to buy, then that means our finances are right down the sh!tcreek.

Seems to have been on the radar for quite a while now, they normally are and we normally get our man in the end...Bielsa going to Leeds might scupper that one though...

Courtois is crap anyway, hugely overated IMO.

Certainly no reason why they all couldn't be part of the matchday squad next season, you could argue JWP should be starting most games and wouldn't be a problem is Targett was first choice. Gallagaher would be an option off the bench, and Reed is decent, he probably just needs to go and play though now and we're very strong in that area.

Which is what plenty of us said at the time...we undersold Mane definitely. However - I don't believe anyone would consider paying £40m for Grealish.

Difficulty is finding one with those attributes. Rarely is a player quick, tall, strong, good on the ball, can cross....you're looking at upwards of £30m for a RB if you want that kind of player. I can't think of many in the league! Walker the only one

Potentially looking at getting a new car. Likely to be a nearly new/used car unless I can find a ridiculously good deal for a new car. Current car (2010 BMW 120d) is probably worth about £5k, so likely to need some assistance to fund said new car. Wondering what other people can advise on what is best for these different options? And if anyone has any recommendations for which cars to look at given I'm a 29 year old single male, only requirement is to be able to fit golf clubs + trolley in! Currently been thinking about getting a new 1 series, 2 series or Merc C class...

Very unlikely surely, he's very similar to Bellerin, flatters to deceive because he's quite quick, not great defensively and cant cross.
