Shocker of an atmosphere - it's fair to say.

Saw Al Murray last week, wasn't expecting much as don't think he's that funny on TV, but thought he was actually excellent, very very funny, and a lot cleverer than he makes out.

Decent little player, won't play an awful lot this year. A good young addition, who gives us depth in the squad. He'll take time to settle, wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't make an impact until next year atleast. Needs to bulk up a bit, but has decent technical ability.

If they're a key player, you'd think they'd be offered new ones between having about 2 years and 18 months before they run out. Problem with leaving it until 18 months, is that it's mid season, and if they leave it 6 months they're into their last year. Probably also matters how much money they're on, and what they're demanding if they were to sign an extension.

Not good about Jay - sounds like he needs surgery. Just wondering...the fact that VW got sent off with two bookings, does that now eradicate his bookings count, as in, is it reset back to needing 5 more to get suspended? Something to be wary of...Pelle and Romeu both 1 booking away from a ban.

Mate bought one this morning, couldn't get two together in the Northam side of the halfway line. Still lots of availability in the Chapel though. I guess once people go on Saturday, they might be thinking about club football again, and hopefully will make them buy a ticket for this game. Should definitely be a sell out, especially given the ticket price - very poor if not.

1/2-0 Saints...frustrating afternoon, however a late goal opens them up. Maybe a last min 2nd as they push for a draw. Stek; Cedric Fonte VVD Bertrand; Clasie Wanyama; Tadic Davis Mane; Pelle Have to deal with their standard thuggury, but they're not quite as bad as they used to be. Certainly got the players to cause us problems in Shakiri and Bojan.

What an odd thread.

I think people would still leave early, do agree it is a bit of a pain getting out of Southampton. It's not about being angry, its just frustrating when you're trying to watch the game and fans are streaming out the stadium - can't have a positive effect on the team either.

One of my pet hates, and having been to quite a lot of grounds, always feel that our fans are some of the worse for it. The Kingsland/Northam corner where I sit, is regularly half empty with 85 mins on the clock. Never understand it, especially when the game is not dead and buried.

I used Kodi and the "Phoenix" plugin, perfectly fine free watch, no buffering.

Personally don't think it weakens the team, think they're both at a similar level.

Personally think JWP will be a better player than Clasie, also would prefer JWP to be playing most weeks, or he'll be off. Club needs to show it'll prioritise youth products if the standard between the player is very little IMO.

Has improved considerably since the first few games, he was all over the place defensively. Probably helps having a settled back 4 alongside him as well.

Loved going to Herning this summer, more than happy to be back in Europe next season!

Apparently there was a few Bournemouth fans with "WE 8 Saints" on the back of their shirts, hilarious.

Whole lot of meh, currently no better than JWP or arguably Reed. Seems a shame to bring in a player from abroad rather than blooding the youth if there isn't much in it. However, I'm assuming they've got high hopes for Clasie, and he will come good once he bulks up and settles, new team and league after-all, a long way to go though. Be interesting to revisit the subject come the end of the season.

Some lairy Saints "youths" were trying to cause trouble early on by Yates, Police ran them down the road, pathetic. Horses were unnecessary.
