  1. From footballgroundguide.... Where To Drink? As the stadium is on the outskirts of town, then there is not much choice in the way of pubs. There is though the Lakeside, a Beefeater outlet near Stadium Way (you should catch sight of it, if you drive towards the stadium from Junction 3 of the M18). Chris Parkes a visiting Nottingham Forest supporter informs me; 'I had no problems with getting a drink in the Lakeside Beefeater, in fact there were more Forest fans in there than home fans before the game. We were also allowed in after the game for a pint or two while the traffic cleared.' The pub also has a separate restaurant section. Whilst David Rose adds; 'There is a bar in the bowling alley next to the Vue Cinema, which is situated on the other side of the lake'. Dave a Norwich City fan tells me; 'There is a bar at the stadium itself, which we were allowed to go into. It does get very busy in the hour up to kick off but if you get in early, as we did, you should be okay. The bar has plenty of seating, as well as an organised queuing system to avoid the normal bustle at the bar. There was no food available though.' Alcohol is also available inside the stadium.
  2. Not sure Viafara was a 'fans favourite'. Maybe people appreciated him for the Derby match, but other than that he was pretty abysmal. Never seen someone give the ball away so much in my life.
  3. Annoying thing with Guly is he clearly does produce and for that he is worth having in the team. Especially at home he is unplayable at times. Just on occasions away from home, hes anonymous for 85 minutes. Generally if Guly has a bad game then we struggle to break a team down. When Guly has had his best games, we've probably scored 3 or more goals.
  4. Great signing, very happy to make him permanent. Lets hope he's more of a 'Chaplow' than a 'Saganowski'!!
  5. Jordan Sibley twitter Big news coming up on the OS at 12.
  6. What pubs are people thinking. Fortunately only a short trip for me and my mate from Sheffield, thinking of getting over to Donny for about half 12?
  7. You can understand why though with the situation with the bubble.
  8. Was the last time he scored one Torquay in the cup ? Last league game Bompey away?

  10. Wasn't it Brentford ? Think Liverpools record is 21 home league wins post war
  11. It's certainly do-able... None will be 'easy games' though.
  12. Picked up a knock...will need him fit Saturday.
  13. It's class for me living in Sheffield. Great value for money and touch wood they've now managed to sort out the commentary issues. Well worth it.
  14. Should win home games. Should beat Doncaster on Saturday. Should be Pompey..we'll see. I wouldnt be surprised if we draw 2 of them...
  15. Possession....Saints 70%-30% Hull
  16. Was worried once we went 1-0 down, but sounded like having a proper wide midfielder playing out on the right helped massively and freed up Lallana a bit on the other side.
  17. Attendance 22983...pretty poor tbh
  18. Lambert off
  19. ****
  20. Not ideal
  21. Saints Vs Hull: Davis. Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Harding. Schneiderlin, Hammond©, Cork, Lallana. Guly, Lambert Not sure about the right of midfield but in Nigel we trust. COYR
  22. So how were they allowed to bring in 2 new players last week? How were they allowed to bring in players in the summer, I dont understand how they can be in such a mess again. It's quite simple....If their income is less than their expenditure, then they are going to end up in a mess? Surely they weren't gambling on big crowds and promotion from the NPC after last season? I just don't get why they went and brought in players on substantial wages...Benjani, Norris, Kitson, Lawrence, Kanu must all be on a fair amount. their business strategy baffles me.
  23. Leicester Vs Blackpool is on instead I think
  24. I assume they'll be in the Chapel end like the deals for other games have been this season.
