  1. Silver Lining. Found an elderly chapwalking around who'd lost his car so gave him a ride. Didn't realise when he first jumped in but (here's the sl) by the time he told us he was from Brentford we were almost at the Itchen Bridge and he was completely lost. That's when it dawned on me that the car park he was describing was down the other end of Brittania Road. he did tell us that they were playing really well away recently and in his opinion the key was that they were taking the game to the opposition; we are not used to that are we. Lessons learnt hopefully. PS What was with the singing yesterday? I was dumbfounded. Bee's fans were very good imo with a good range not limited to the usual Pompey and Redknapp humourless stuff, they really stuck it to young Dickson didn't they.
  2. /\ you know what I meant though. :-)
  3. Not forgetting Oldham Andy, bloomin' meaningless FA Cup! Whilst in a positive mood, I am looking forward to leapfrogging teams when we play catch-up. The reaction to yesterday's result and performance tells me that we (fans) really didn't see it coming ergo it was a blip and next week will be back to the business of brushing teams aside. Now's the time for the players to really be playing for their future's, whether bit be here or elsewhere they have the opportunity to show the watchers if they can step up to the plate. Go do it boys.
  4. it was peterborough btw.
  5. right sided?
  6. what was pards playing position, seriously, I don't remember much about him as a player?
  7. Okay Jimmy. I spoke with mrs L after a recent game, Rickie was posing for some photos with a group I'd taken to the match. I asked her if she enjoyed the match, she told me that she had. I asked if she still liked it 'down here' and she told me that she did. She was also chatting with some of the Mums about babies and gilrie stuff quite openly which gave me the impression that she felt vey much at ease with the fans and perhaps see's herself as part of the club's extended family. Her demeanour gave the impression that she was not merely saying what she thought people wanted to hear, she came across as the perfect footballer's wife who hopefully will use all of her influence to keep him at a club and area that she feels at home in.
  8. Watched this on SkyPlus with mrs h this morning, I am far too old to cope with it twice in one day (it takes me all night to do once, what I once could do all night), so please foirgive me for declining the the link.

  10. They used to have these many years ago, they were called policemen. Actually, one of my brothers works in the development and installation of traffic camera technology and equipment; the Man U supporting brother so feel free to dis him at will. Note, he thinks that these new ones are the mutts, goes without saying that he has never ever broken the law, apart from that one odd knife crime incident of course but as he would say he was younger then....blah...blah...
  11. cheesr stevo but I have bought my domain and need an easy company to host it. It's not an all singing, dancing site that I need just one that I can update the content myself containing some basic company info and most importantly a user friendly 'contact us' interface. I won't for the foreseeable future need (nor want tbh) search engine optimisation as I will be targetting customers directly (mail-shots and direct contact), I wnat a site that people can quickly navigate to once they are considering using my services to find out a bit more about my company and the services I can offer. One other thing that I really do need to do is purchase a couple of other domain names (.org, .com etc and direct the traffic automativ=cally from those site to the main one. cheers h
  12. I thought that Rickie loves luvinf round here they're expecting another baby in Feb so I con;r see him wanting to trapse up and down the A34 every day, also does not come across as being purely money motivated but then again if he doesn;t fot 'the plan' he might not have much say.
  13. I think you need some help! but whatever gets you through the night mate...

    John Lennon.

'coming at ya through yer cornflakes'. Who's more famous? Yoko Ono or Linda McCartney? I was in New York with my sister the other year and she almost ruined the whole holiday by insisting that due wanting to see that stupid BIG piano in the Schatz shop, we wouldn't have time to visit the Dakota and Strawberry Fields, thankfully mrs h knew that it was the over-riding rewason for me going. Sis was a bit miffed when I shook my head at her and just walked off into central park, mrs h in pursuit. I cherish the memory of sitting on his bench 'imagining' stuff and felt that he in a strange way was sat next to me. Walked over to the Dakota and whilst trying to hold the emotion I felt quite light-headed but walked away uplifted. I liked the graffitti written at Liverpool (John Lennon) Airport a few weeks ago; under where it say's "above us only sky", someone had written "below us only West Ham"....that famous scouse wit was actually amusing for a change.
  15. What's the score stevo? I am running late but still plan to be in hedge end between 5 and 6, did you get my number? Have to shoot in a mo so text me back please mate. Meat? Freud ;-0 don;t worry, you're not my type
  16. i guess that when we are in the process of starting over i would imagine that it is no surprise that some jealous guy will start playing mind games. At the same time we fans are watching the wheels turning helplessly apart from one or two (or even 72) who want the club to give more power to the people and give peace a chance. Many feel that NC acts like GOD but I say that if we want to return to the land of milk and honey and instant karma then we have to give peace a chance and when Nicola say's "stand by me", we should. He may turn out to be a real working class hero in time. Anyway, Merry Christmas, war is over. Count them.
  17. if the pen be mightier than the sword then there will be occasions when it is best to hide all the pens.
  18. shows that we have no time for mavericks at SMS perhaps, we go forward as a team.
  19. He WAS The Beatles. Love the softer side of their repertoire but he gave them the 'bite' that really sent them into the music stratosphere.
  20. anything that encourages or makes it easier for people to take an educational path has to be a good thing surely? One of my personal gripes with older syatems is that they are elitist and class ridden. Everyone deserves a chance to better themselves and by definition their community imo. Sure some will take advantage but i would guess they are a small minority. I would like to see cures for diseases, technological advances, creativity and advances in general sooner rather than later. Who knows one of these tiresome oiks might one day put something back into society repaying the 'debt' many-fold. One things for sure, they won't if 'we' don't at the very least invest in them at the point in their lives when they have that zest and hunger for learning.

    John Lennon.

fairy nuff smirking, you must surely accept though that he influenced (and still does) music trends the world over. blimey, his mrs is more famous than most of the artists to have passed through before and since his death, albeit solely through association but who else can we say that about?
