  1. I used to go to a stupidly strict school and would tie my Saints scarf to my bag for the FA cup draws, which used to be done on a Monday lunchtime on the radio. It was an instant detention but I would keep doing it regardless - 84 was a tough year.
  2. http://metro.co.uk/2010/03/20/pompey-crisis-really-hurts-storrie-180281/ I really miss this guy - I wonder who the Premier League Club was that was offering him a lot more money than the 1.2 million (inc bonus) he was on at pompey was? You have to doff your hat to the guy who managed to get a win and draw bonus thrown into his contract.
  3. Really? I saw it as two Saints players getting a deserved call up, but with different reactions from the same fans. Obviously from Plymouth, a submarine or your bat cave you see it differently.
  4. This is so different to when Lallana was called up. We were all chuffed and posted our congratulations, but this thread has real emotion - Genuine emotion.
  5. I'll bare my arse on the town hall steps if he doesn't get on. Defoe and rooney might play no part at all. Rickie WILL get on.
  6. We certainly broke the news first, I think the Club were a minute early.....I'm sure the FA wont mind.
  7. Completely chuffed for him - Congratulations Rickie
  8. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/10598444.Pochettino_s_Premier_League_plans_left_up_in_the_air/?ref=twt Didn't stop to think how many were travelling :scared:
  9. Doesn't matter who we get. This Cup is taking us to Wembley this season
  10. I am assuming that the thread is a response to the "Who is to blame for the lack of signing" thread to gain some sort of parity? The irony (For me) is that I think we have had a decent window in terms of signing, but a poor one in terms of moving players on. You could argue that the club looked after Chaplow by cancelling his contract, but I would have expected some sort of fee for him and De Ridder. Also if we were going to have done what we did- We should have done it earlier - That was over two months worth of dead wages. There are still players to move on, that wont ever wear a Saints shirt again. Personally I would have expected more movement with regards to the deadwood.

  14. Completely agree...next you will have posters coming back with different user names claiming not to be the posters we all know they were. Sort it out FFS.
  15. http://www.moneyhouse.ch/en/u/mali_holding_ag_CH-217.0.137.768-0.htm That's just an investment arm. The main company of Marcus was the engine (I Think) Mfrs, which appears to be in the process of, or has been already liquidated.... Unless I am reading it completely the wrong way, of which there is every chance.
  16. As has Katrina by the looks of that
  17. That's what it looked like in 2012 - But doesn't seem they ever were. Anyway this is the main company and he seems to have gone from there as well http://www.moneyhouse.ch/en/u/mali_international_ag_CH-217.3.541.516-4.htm?eid=2657840
  18. http://www.moneyhouse.ch/en/u/mali_motan_ag_CH-217.3.532.363-7.htm?eid=2661786 I am reading this as Cortese no longer an Executive Director or MALI AG - This seems to have happened at the same time as the changes detailed on this thread - Am I reading it wrong.
  19. http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/228193.html I can see Saints nipping in at the last minute for this guy. 3 Million should do it.
  20. Was that the same leon best that missed a sitter that both Rabbit and Steve Grant would have scored ;) ;)
  21. When are Saints fans going to drop the whole spending above our means rubbish? We spend 34% of our income on wages so that's well and truly manageable. I'd love to know what Saints's wages to income ratio is? In the Championship they were 110% ish so it's anyone's guess what it is now. We have learnt from mismanagement by previous owners.
  22. Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC Check out Saint Charlie on the Saints Web Forum, he posts really interesting threads.
  23. The loan charged against the assets, was (According to the Swiss Rambler) 3 million and the premium that Aviva were due was 4 million - So not a million miles away, but the transfer to the profit and loss account seems to be 26 million, so not sure that would reason.
  24. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=506828 http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk/ltd/southampton-football-club Now I can't see anything there on the Companies House bit (I didn't buy the reports) Where it states that money has or is actually being taken out, although the author of the above link seems to think that is the case - Am I missing something? Regardless, there has been some (What appears to be unusual) activity in July, with a solvency statement and a reduction of share capital. From what I can read both of these things can be for multiple reasons; http://www.legalclarity.co.uk/why-reduce-share-capital.htm http://simply-docs.co.uk/Share_Capital_Reduction/Solvency_Statement_-_Share_Capital_Reduction I never bought into the Liebherr / Cortese meeting at the end of the season, being a "Love- In" that gave Cortese the green light to run the business by himself with an open cheque book. As per another thread, it seems the charge from last year is still in place. These things aren't necessarily bad things, but worth keeping an eye on and any resident experts that could shed any light or more information would be much appreciated.
