Rupert Lowe - underhand dealings from beyond the realms of football

A member of staff had a personal tragedy , which he paid out of his own pocket to resolve (Make the best out of an awful situation). He might not have been a great chairman, but he is not the ogre some people make out. -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbcsYts7POk Is Weller the greatest singer songwriter ever? My money says he is. I remember top of the pops announcing that Beat surrender would be their last hit together. I smashed my telly up. I was 12. It was the first music that ever meant anything to me..... the irony being I was everything he hated and was singing against. I don't remember this interview, which he comes across like a thick ***t but his pre and post songs prove he isn't. The bloke has seamlessly crossed, punk, mod, ballad, rock, indie, Jazz and pop with monster lyrics and spawned a new generation of his tone. I appreciate music is a very personal thing, but is he the best of the best? Can't find too many that come close.

This is where the problem is pap, in that single sweeping statement, you have dismissed in it's entirety, the notion that Assad could have released the chemical weapons. Even I am happy to consider the options that it was "A.N Other" (Even over and above the rebels), but I am guessing, judging by how "ridiculous" you find the notion, that any amount of evidence or proof, you will simply dismiss as lies and propaganda etc. etc. To suggest that "Assad is no angel" is somewhat of an understatement and has the history and traits to suggest it would actually be far more "ridiculous" to rule out. You could of course be right, but your mind appears already to be closed on the issue, which seems to be at odds with the pre-requisite mindset of your ilk. It's a mess - I think every poster agrees on that and I like you don't want us involved, nor do I profess to know enough about the complicated politics of the region to truly understand it, but I won't be rushing to any conclusions regarding the chemical weapons, just yet.

Interesting team Liverpool put out last night. Looks like Rodgers is going all out for this one. -
http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=509595 Who is going to break it to them that there are another 3 charges against fratton park over and above The council and Mr Robinson....... Oh and on the note of Mr Robinson, it seems he is being paid in 12 installments, if I read s maskell's post correctly. So with council, Robinson and the PFA, I make that three charges - Anyone know who the other two charges are for? It couldn't be, nah it really couldn't.

We cashed in in the sell on fee, when we were in admin (Or just before), but there seems to be some sort of UEFA development fee that should net us a couple of million.

Have to say that as a novice watching the sport,, Tyson would have killed him.

Agreed, and on many levels it isn't right, but unfortunately its the way football is these days.

I think you are missing the point. The prices are of course off putting for some, but from a business perspective, not enough for it to matter. The company are maximizing revenues by charging the price point that they do and either selling out or getting close to. If that changed to below 60% or 70% then the club might have to look at it, but for now, they really couldn't give a monkeys if the price forces some people away from the matches.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/23831263 There will be plenty on here that know far more about boxing than I do, but as just a keen viewer of the sport, in his prime, he was for me the very best I have ever seen and gutted to hear that he is in such trouble. Hope he can turn it around.
