I disagree with your comment re. MLT but at the same time my expectations are low, so bang goes another of your presumptions ! I have a question for you "do you seriously think that MLT had any intention of harming the club at any time" ?My assertion is that he made a mistake by backing the wrong horse but that his intentions were at all times honourable !!

I wonder if you have ever seen either play ?? Whatever one thinks of their respective abilities, they are chalk and cheese in respect of their style and I think that is the main point being made ie. he would gel better with Schneiderlin !

For a pleasant change I agree with you 19c except that I don't think that MLT has been tarnished. The vast majority of Saints fans realise that he only ever acted in the best interests of saving the club therefore should not be chastised for it !

I've mentioned on other threads that his skills are limited even for this league ! He needs to be replaced by someone with vision who will slot in alongside Schneiderlin to dominate play in the centre of midfield !

The book is now available at SFC online for £14.99 + £3.50 P&P = £18.49 ! Whilst I don't wish to deprive either the club or MLT anything, I have just bought this at Amazon for £10.00 with free P&P !!! I think that this is a fair and reasonable request ! As it was officially before the ML takeover, I suppose only the administrator would have the actual bottom line figures ?? Maybe (if contacted) they would supply information or (as someone already pointed out) it will be itemised in the final SLH administration report ?

You took the words out of the fingers on my keyboard ! Anybody can have a 'target' (normally it's to win the Champion's League!) but what is needed is a 'strategy' (ie. a clearly defined policy on who to buy, how to motivate, training methods, team formation etc, etc..) and after this you play with the intention of beating every opponent you meet ! If you get the strategy right, then there is every chance that you will do well and achieve a high position in the league but 'setting targets' per se can be counter productive IMO !!

Have done corporate at a number of clubs (mainly London) but never at SMS ! Main reason is that I am happy beside my cronies in my regular ST seat ! I will give it a go sometime though, just to compare !

FWIW I think that he is an ok player (not great!) but would be far more effective than Wotton alongside Schneiderlin because he doesn't sit deep all the time, he moves around ! PW and MS together both sit deep and consequently you lose forward momentum ! As MS can spray accurate long passes and Wotton cannot, therefore I would keep MS as the deep player with Gillet as a more advanced playmaker !

It is 4-4-2 and everybody seems to know what they are required to do ! (Nb. this is the first time in a very long time that you have heard this from me) ! So far it has not exactly been flowing football but equally neither has it been kick and rush! The attitude seems right and I get the impression that the players realise there is no room for slackers (even Rasiak) ! I reckon that it will take some more time before we can define the actual 'style' but I do sense positive progress in the overall approach to competitive games !!

Let me be the third person to back these changes ! I know that we were ok last night but remember it was only a poor Northampton side ! IMHO Lancs and Wotto do not have the quality and Pato is not yet at Razza's standard ! (Nb. this could all change if we get 1 or 2 signings this week as I expect!).
