Strange thing is that I can't remember a really good ball either !!!!

I blame Alright_Dave for making a 6 hour drive, time for a couple of pints and then straight to the stadium to apply his jinx on the team ! He will be at the Northampton cup game as well so please don't waste your money and bet on us to win !!!! (Despite hundreds of pounds and tens of hours travelling, he has not seen us win for more than 3 years !!). Sad but true!

Schneiderlin plays deep and specialises in accurate long passes ! Wotton plays deep and specialises in not a lot ! It is not a good, natural central midfield pairing, particularly as James and Lallana do not provide pace or width ! IMO the midfield was the weakness yesterday and did little to protect the defence or support the attack ! Mills and/or Holmes will definitely give us better shape and I still reckon that Gillet is a better bet than Wotton alongside Schneiderlin but then again I am not the manager ! I'm sure that AP has been able to assess his players better after their first competitive game and let's hope that he can fill the gaps pretty quickly !

One big plus that Murty brings (they used to do it very well at Reading) is the 'when the ball goes dead, he comes alive' principle ! There was a great example in the 2nd half when we got a throw-in, he got the ballboy to quickly through him a spare and immediately caught the Millwall defence in disarray! Sadly our frontmen were too slow to react but I reckon he will bring the subject up at training and hopefully it will become a successful tactic !!

Of course I don't know for sure, but what I do know is that as CEO of SLH he should have had a sufficiently good relationship with his banker to realise what the position was at that time ! Barclays pulled the plug a few days after the league deadline for points deduction and I refuse to believe that the whole scenario was never discussed beforehand ! Either he was in denial, incompetent or incapable of working with the very people who controlled our destiny. Whichever way you look at it, he was the man at the top and the buck stopped there ! Given his character and previous track record I think that there is a very strong possibility that his ego forced him to think that he was invincible ! All IMHO, Best rgds, Euro.

I'm sure there are plenty but please don't tell Guided Missile because he is on a revenge mission and would like to 'stick their ST's where the sun don't shine' (his words, not mine!). Personally, I am delighted to welcome them all back to the fold !

It seems to be a case of the FA displaying their power against the weakest within their midst ! Fair enough some clubs do profit through administration but others do everything to avoid the problems then get clobbered on top !!! It's not an easy one but I do get the impression that there is one rule for the rich and another for the poor !

True, it doesn't frighten me, just makes me sad to see how far we have fallen ! I agree that we will finish the season with a totally different (and hopefully much better) side than we start with but we really do have to go with the flow and stay positive !!
