I agree with you John, older does not mean better but my point was that Jan originally said that we needed a balance, using some old heads to help the youngsters along ! So far I think that the balance has not been quite right and perhaps we need a few more oldies, particularly in the spine of the team ! The next 2 home games will tell us a lot about the management and players alike, let's hope it's positive !!! COYS.

I have to agree here ! Jan said from the onset that he felt that some experienced players would be required to harness the qualities of the young lads ! Yesterday only Davis and Wotton played and the 11 others (inc 2 subs) were all 22 or less. I thought that both the oldies were excellent and perhaps Perry, John and even Euell when fit could really help the situation no end ! It is wrong to say that 'we have to play only youngsters' because we still have others ie. Thomas, Rudi, BWP etc.. who might still play a part if encouraged in the right way ??

IMHO it merited only yellow as he did attempt to get the ball ! Sure it was rash and badly timed but there was no clear attempt to cause injury nor was there any sign of malice ! I know that it is all about opinions and many on here disagree with me. Strangely, Ian Holloway who always struck me as being anti-Saints also thought that a red card was harsh (as did Dion Dublin) ! If this decision was contentious, maybe, but their 2nd goal was an absolutely disgraceful and inexcusable dereliction of duty !! Rant over !!!!

A few facts to wake up to this morning : We are currently 3rd from bottom. If we lose by more than 1 goal today we go 2nd bottom. A big win (unlikely) will take us to 15th. Personally I'd like to wait until after we play Ipswich and Barnsley at home before re-assessing our potential !

Perhaps we should reflect the 'brave new world' and have Rupsey, Wildey & Janno on the left and a few unkown 16 year olds on the right ! This would prove to the universe that we are all about revolution and total football !!! :)

I took this to be sub-contracting (ie. they are not employed by SFC and would only be paid if somebody is actually signed up!) therefore we have no scouts of our own ! Jake Thompson had a couple of games, did pretty well and then was dropped in favour of White ! All the young lads have to realise that this is a squad game and that you'll be in and out, sometimes with a clear reason (dodgy pen!) and sometimes without ! This is where good management comes to the fore. Step forward JP and MW! Should not be a prob for young White as he will come back stronger with good support !!

I've done a u-turn on Kelvin and want him to stay now but the rest I'd be happy to be shot of ! (Stern is a ????) Having said that, this thread was meant to get info regarding interest from other clubs? So far BWP to Leicester is the only snippet on offer !

Are there any ITK'ers out there with info on whether Kelvin, Stern, Rudi, Jason, BWP et al are staying or going ?? Normally when there is movement someone gets a sniff in advance !!

I have great respect for Jermaine Wright and would be more than happy to give him a round of applause tomorrow (as it happens I can't because I am abroad at the moment!). I don't care about Hammill but I hope that the little git does not choose tomorrow to show us what we never really saw before !!!
