Both lallana and McGoldrick have bags of talent and technical ability, to me that is clear ! The problem therefore lies with the management of young players and this is what the Dutch guys are supposed to excel at ! Tactics and motivation are the key ! The system 4-2-1-2-1 (or whatever it is) is neither clear nor successful according to results so far and motivation seems to be sporadic at best ! Finally I see no benefit whatsoever to booing any of our own players let alone youngsters !

It's a sad indictment on society that there should be a need for segregation in the first place however, given that the policy states 'home fans only' in most parts of the ground, visitors should respect this and keep a low profile ! I would only 'shop' someone if they were overly abusive or insulting but in any case most of the hacks around me in the Kingsland are likely to be pretty tolerant anyway !

Having worked for a Dutch company for over 30 years and lived in the Flemish part of Belgium I can tell you that I had very little difficulty understanding most of my colleagues, friends etc.. IMHO it is not Jan's lack of vocabulary that is the problem, it is the message which he is trying to get across which is often garbled and confusing ! Just read parts of the latest OS article where he says that football is 'not just about passing to each other' - I do believe that the players have little/no idea at times what the hell they are being asked to do ! Having said all that, he is a thoroughly decent bloke who is doing his best in extremely difficult circumstances and I am still behind him all the way !

I think that we lesser mortals just have to believe that this is indeed 'total football' and we obviously are not privvy to the higher ground that Jan and Rupsey currently inhabit ! Everybody that I have spoken with recently reckons that we are tactically deficient and that JP has a distorted vision of 'total football' which nobody (including the players) understands ! It would be nice to play a basic 4-4-2 like just about all the other teams in the division cos this master plan sure as hell ain't working !!!

Perhaps it's just me Art but I reckon that if Euell had come on instead of Mills, he might just have had an influence on the game! Mills and Gasmi were highly unlikely to transform things IMO ! Ps. Before his red card he was doing pretty well, no ?

Having served his ban I thought that he would at least be on the bench today ! I reckon we could have done with some experience in midfield/up front in the latter stages of the game !

Perhaps I stand alone in my opinion but I have every faith that the SFC Ticket Office will offer a fair and equitable distribution of 32,500 seats ! St Mary's should be treated like a church (that is how it all started you know) ! The church welcomes allcomers, saints and sinners alike ! I would be happy to release Robertson, Smith and Pekhart back to their own clubs and bring back SJ instead. Surely he does not get that much more than their combined wages ? It's a matter of quality over quantity and given his previous track record it's got to be worth a shot IMHO !

A bit worrying really ! Wigley was watching him on Saturday (it was mentioned during the commentary on Radio Solent) and his dad could be a major influence in getting him there too ! Given that he is only loaned to us until January anyway, I don't suppose that we could do much to stop it ! Aaarghh....

The radio Solent commentators took at least 15mins to realise that he came on at HT yesterday and still thought that Smith was playing! They reckoned that the two of them look very similar but I seem to remember an OS article about him that showed a tallish white guy which Smith clearly is not ! I checked the squad list and he doesn't seem to exist so it's even more strange that our new hero can even get a game !
