Given that the club will not want some players to be cup tied because of impending transfers, I reckon it could look like this : 4-2-3-1 Forecast. James, Hatch, Lancashire, Mills. Gillet, Gasmi. Dyer, Pulis, Smith. McGoldrick. Fergie will no doubt be sh1tting himself at the prospect !

He is resting in Argentina so will not play, might well be Rooney instead !
-
It is Indictment not Endictment ! (and yes, I am in a bad mood caused by this latest news!).
-
Hoyte has gone to Watford and Simpson to WBA ! Not much chance of the others IMO too !
-
Distinctly underwhelmed by the signing of Smith ! Dyer, Thomson, McLaggon, White, Holmes and Bwp are all of a similar ilk and I can't for the life of me see what he can add to the squad ? Molyneux could be ok though as a specialist LB is always good but I do have a sneaky feeling that this could be in advance of Surman and\or Skacel departing !!! Happy new year to one and all !

I recognise the oriental bird in the picture ! She is the wife and business advisor of a Chinese billionaire who (allegedly) is checking out investments in English football ! You heard it here first !!
-
I suspect that he was a bit 'tongue in cheek' on this one so please try and calm down, old chap !
-
Nathan Dyer is on his way back, fancy him at CB ? (Mind you, with this lot I would not be totally astonished!).
-
So will I but I will keep it in my trousers !

http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11152 There is a quote in this article from JP which says : "As far as I know, we want to keep Jack" Is this a Freudian slip or does he really not know ?????

What evidence have you seen of jans management skills?
eurosaint replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
I reckon that he has a blinkered view of what a successful team formation should be ! The obsession with 4-2-3-1 (assuming that's what it actually is!) is patently not achieving results and is directly affecting our home performances IMHO. Coupled with a number of unnecessary, inexperienced loan signings I would say that he has a helluva lot to learn about the harsh realities of life in the CCC ! -
Double spot on, Ronaldo ! We have an abundance of our own dainty, young lads yet we sign people like Smith, Pekhart, Gasmi, Pulis and Robertson instead of ugly old brutes who know the score in this league and could undoubtedly help improve the age/experience balance! If this is so glaringly obvious to us then why in hell's name can JP and Rupsey just not get it ? The never ending party line of "we played well, we lost, but we're learning all the time" is not only wearing thin it's totally fecking threadbare !!! There are none so blind as those who will not see !!! Aaaargh....

So, we've actually lost Stern John for the season too..

has it been announced that he is staying at BC then ? I haven't read any reports to that effect ! -
Stop criticising Adam Lallana and others!!!
eurosaint replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Both lallana and McGoldrick have bags of talent and technical ability, to me that is clear ! The problem therefore lies with the management of young players and this is what the Dutch guys are supposed to excel at ! Tactics and motivation are the key ! The system 4-2-1-2-1 (or whatever it is) is neither clear nor successful according to results so far and motivation seems to be sporadic at best ! Finally I see no benefit whatsoever to booing any of our own players let alone youngsters ! -
It's a sad indictment on society that there should be a need for segregation in the first place however, given that the policy states 'home fans only' in most parts of the ground, visitors should respect this and keep a low profile ! I would only 'shop' someone if they were overly abusive or insulting but in any case most of the hacks around me in the Kingsland are likely to be pretty tolerant anyway !

Did anyone understand what JP was saying after the match??
eurosaint replied to Tamesaint's topic in The Saints
Having worked for a Dutch company for over 30 years and lived in the Flemish part of Belgium I can tell you that I had very little difficulty understanding most of my colleagues, friends etc.. IMHO it is not Jan's lack of vocabulary that is the problem, it is the message which he is trying to get across which is often garbled and confusing ! Just read parts of the latest OS article where he says that football is 'not just about passing to each other' - I do believe that the players have little/no idea at times what the hell they are being asked to do ! Having said all that, he is a thoroughly decent bloke who is doing his best in extremely difficult circumstances and I am still behind him all the way ! -
I was pretty sure that it was Gasmi but I will check again on Saints TV tomorrow and apologise if wrong ! Xmas spirit and all that !

Did anyone understand what JP was saying after the match??
eurosaint replied to Tamesaint's topic in The Saints
I think that we lesser mortals just have to believe that this is indeed 'total football' and we obviously are not privvy to the higher ground that Jan and Rupsey currently inhabit ! Everybody I speak to reckons that we are in the sh1t but perhaps we just don't understand the whole concept of a 'revolutonary new coaching system' etc. etc..! I know that we are all missing something but I feel sure that in time all will become clear, I just hope that this comes before administration !! &*^%$"£!)(&^% -
Everybody that I have spoken with recently reckons that we are tactically deficient and that JP has a distorted vision of 'total football' which nobody (including the players) understands ! It would be nice to play a basic 4-4-2 like just about all the other teams in the division cos this master plan sure as hell ain't working !!!
-
I think you'll find that it was Gasmi who gave the ball away not Surman who, along with Cork, I thought was the pick of a bad bunch !
-
Including the goalie that gives us 12 men ! Total football here we come !!!!
