I don't think there is any team which has profited as much as Saints in the transfer market in recent years, even accounting for 2 demotions and an administration, we have still managed a very healthy plus in terms of youth development and player trading in general ! Amazed that your mate had never heard of him, I had a chat with a barmaid at one of my locals (IoW) and when I discovered that she was Latvian I naturally mentioned ' Super Marian's', her eyes lit up and she declared that he was a national hero ! It's not quite as simple as that when a player has a monetary value to the club (which doesn't apply in normal jobs) though ! The club always has to evaluate the best approach to maintaining the selling price or risk losing a fortune !

Not a bad night really, if Morgan gets his head right, Gaston gets fit and we sign another GK, CB and Striker then we have a chance to at least compete against most of the PL teams ! Could be worse, all things considered !!
