  1. Conspiracy theorists would point out the Poortvliet lookalike in the top right corner.
  2. I'm prepared to give Bart another chance. He showed he has the ability when he first came in, however after his injury (and his first two displays a couple of years ago V Palace and Peterborough in the CC) completely destroyed his confidence. Hopefully under a new GK coach he will turn it back round again.
  3. Until you have the complete squad you will always have a weakness. Going by such standards, I still think we need another CB, a RB, a winger for each side, another CM and two more strikers.
  4. To be fair I thought at the time, and for me the highlights concluded, that he DID try to square it. He just waited too long.
  5. Agreed, and between no pace and no end product (Thomson) and pace with no end product (Mellis) there is only gonna be one winner.
  6. *ahem* 20 for motivation, determination and man management me thinks MLG....
  7. I meant the piece ON the official site had been removed from the news index, but it's been moved back again now. Probably just someone clicking the wrong button at SMS.
  8. Nevermind, it definitely disappeared for a few minutes.
  9. The article has been taken straight off the OS main page WTF?
  10. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1790246,00.html Don't know too much about him, but good to see the rebuilding of the whole club being continued.
  11. Ridiculous discrimination, IMO. Boooo!
  12. Let's not forget that when we run out the tunnel BEFORE the toss Saints are already at the Chapel end. Maybe players just think switching ends is a waste of time.
  13. I think you'll find Jermaine Wright scored that goal.
  14. He also said "Any one saying different is kidding them selves".
  15. Everyone who is saying "I want us to just survive this year" has also said "but we will be aiming for promotion next season".
  16. Too negative though. You can say what you like, but that is 4-5-1, and Lallana tracks back too much which would leave Lambert isolated.
  17. What a ridiculous thing to say You could equally say that without Solksjaers goal in '99, Fergie would have been sacked. Does that make him lucky?
  18. CM. He does enough tracking back as it is to be a box to box midfielder. FWIW, i'd play Papa up front so Lallana would be able to go on the RW.
  19. Another 3 being bought today. Pretty poor showing so far, but there seems to be a lot of people buying this week from conversations round me in the northam.
  20. Certainly seemed so from where I was sat - ball going in, he tries to head it towards goal (unnecessary) and heads it over. Great.
  21. He did his celebration dance in front of the northam Was it not clear enough the first time?
  22. WG, very harsh on Lallana. He was fantastic today, although I agree that someone else MUST take the corners.
  23. From what, exactly? They weren't in admin.
  24. There were no excuses for not winning today. Positives; We TRIED to play with width. When Mills came on he looked very good IMO. Lallana was fantastic, anyone who questions his commitment really doesn't have a clue. The defence looked extremely solid. Once Jaidi comes in and Murty is fit again, it will be exceptional. Pardew has done what I and many others always say you should do; he has built from the back. The three CMs who played a part - Hammond, James and Schneiderlin - looked very sharp, and their passing was accurate for the majority of the game. Negatives; With regards to width, Lallana is not a winger, Thomson is useless and Mellis is too weak/inexperienced. Until we get decent wingers (it may well be Mills on the left and Waigo on the right), we will never be able to play well with width. Paterson looked lost, he really should have scored. We are wasting Lambert by having him play with his back to goal.
  25. Really? I thought he looked a lot shakier today than he normally has. Missed a few headers and let his man get past him a fair few times. (I think he is great by the way, just giving my opinion on this one individual performance).
