It's not that Saints will have attracted premier league fans, it's that local fans of the top clubs and top 6 fanboys/football tourists/touts will have bought season tickets knowing they get to see their hero elite clubs.
-
I remember the debates about whether Skacel would get more than 25 goals when he signed. Alcaraz will get into double figures but i'd be shocked if he gets over 20.
-
Yeah, there'll be a bunch of Premier League clingers on that jump ship offset by those that were priced out/sick of the Premier League coming back.
-
Raw ability defenders seem to do very well in France without needing much technicality.
-
That would be funny. Liverpool - We want to sign Lavia, how does £30million sound? Saints - £50million. Liverpool - How about £30million plus £5million add ons? Saints - £50million. Liverpool - OK fine, how about £35million all up front? Saints - £50million. Liverpool - Oh come on, you haven't moved at all from your original valuation! Saints - OK. £60million.

I also enjoy non-league football, for me competitiveness is just as important as level of quality. Some of the games in this world cup will have had a better standard of football than we'll see in a lot of games this season, by the way.

Never really given the run of games a CB needs to prove themselves one way or the other. Nevermind, best of luck.

Sheffield Weds 1-2 Saints - Match Thread

I think Plymouth personally, got a talented squad of players at good ages to progress. -
An attacking midfield of Sulemana - Alcaraz - Tella would be amazing at this level, really hope we manage to pull it off.
-
Decent fee for him if the paper reports are to be believed. Now get Harwood-Bellis or McNally in.

Championship 2023/24. Betting. Who's your money on?

No, it would be £15,010. -
Championship 2023/24. Betting. Who's your money on?

Ladbrokes do a "random 3 promoted" and give you odds of 1500/1 whoever you get. I chucked a tenner on expecting to end up with Rotherham, QPR and Ipswich or something. I got Leicester, Leeds and Middlesbrough. Well happy with that. -
2005 vs 2023. Both of our first championship starting lineups.

2005 Jones wasn't that great. Wasn't until the following season under Burley he discovered he could leap 10 feet in the air and dominate the opponents 18 yard box. -
They slipped those under the radar. Very nice. The red one looks better as a jacket though.

No chance Manning doesn't start, also no chance that Charles is on the wing? -
Possibly, but add it to the growing list of shots he got a touch on but was unable to keep out. Seems to happen to him a lot.
-
One slice of humble pie for me, thanks.
-
You know he's actually signed for and is currently playing for Barcelona, right?
-
Surprised he's available to be honest, but I agree. Either him or McNally who was on loan at Coventry from Burnley.
-
Both sides, be a bit weird if you could only see one team.
-
If we're looking for championship experience i'd look at signing Gus Hamer from Coventry, 11 goals and 10 assists from CM last season. Robert Atkinson from Bristol City would be a good option for centreback as well.
-
Yes but with a couple of years of soul destroying performances and a relegation since.
-
So we should all be happy to have him costing us goals every game then. I didn't see anyone giving Adams, Armstrong, Mara and Onuachu a break last season.
-
If that's the case I don't think he ever will be then. Let the lad go and have a career ffs.
