Nearly towards the end of the season now, and he still is heavily involved. Guess we just got so used to it that we didn't notice anymore!
A couple of bad performances coupled with fans jumping on his back and chanting for De Ridder whilst Guly was still on the pitch meant his confidence was at zero for the last month at least.
Amazing.
Couple of things to pay close attention to - how much Guly is involved, and how good the work that he does is, and also just how f*cking brilliant our pass and move football was (especially in the first half of the season).
It did help us, but not in the way you're suggesting. We've learnt from a mistake and we sure as sh*t won't be doing it again.
But that positive note is dependant on the fact that it was actually a mistake.
I don't think certain people get the reason behind dressing up like that - the people who did it KNEW they looked like tw*ts, but had the capability to laugh at themselves.
It was called "The Friends Provident St Marys Stadium" before, what's the difference? Everyone will still call it St Marys except commentators at the start of live matches/highlights.
United at home.
"And now you're gonna believe us, and now you're gonna believe us, and now you're gonna believe uuuuuuuuuuuus....
WE TOLD YOU WE'D BE BACK!"
At first I thought the same, but if you actually think about it where is the football league supposed to get hundreds of thousands of pounds from to give huge rewards?
